This past week, we had an incredible opportunity to visit Think Research Corporation (@TRChealth) in downtown Toronto. We had a chance to learn the origins of computer science and see first hand how computer science is being used to save lives in hospitals around the world. We also got to spend the afternoon actually working with computer scientists and developers and to build our own paper, rock, scissors games using logic and programming. This experience, for me, as a teacher, was truly incredible! I saw my students engaged, talking, sharing, and developing their ideas in a collaborative way. They were amazing while there and it was even more amazing to see them work with these programmers to learn more about computer science, programming, and to be excited about how they could one day use computers to help others.
For your blog post this week, I would like you to write a thank you to Think Research for having us. In your thank you letter, I’d like you to write down 1 thing that you thought was amazing about the trip, 2 things that you learned while there and anything else you can think of to say thank you!
