This week in class we’ve been looking at different commercials and why they’re effective, what they’re selling and how they’re using their commercials to sell a product. Rewatch the Always - Like A Girl commercial again. While you’re watching it, think about other commercials or ads that you’ve seen that promote positivity, that empower a group, that send out a positive message. For your blog post this week, I’d like you to find a commercial that promotes something positive and post the link below. Once you’ve posted your link, answer the following three questions:

This commercial is called what are girls made of?
1. I’m pretty sure the message they are trying to spread is that girls are strong too! How do I know? I know because they keep saying these powerful words that are describing women and how they are strong people.
2. The product that is being sold is Nike athletic products. I know by just looking at the guest star wearing the clothing some other women in the crowd and the little girl at the very end of the clip.
3. They are targeting pretty much everyone but especially young girls to know that they are good just like men. I think this because the main character is a girl and she is describing women with such wonderful words. Young girls have to see that they are strong before they grow up and have gone through so much not knowing that they are good enough.

1. I think the message of this commercial is to stop parents doing bad stuff in front of their kids because the kids are doing what their parents do.

2. I think they aren't selling anything but they're just sending a message to everyone saying don't do bad stuff in front of your kids or they will do the same thing.

3. I think the audience of this is the parents so they don't do bad stuff in front of their kids. I also think its for the kids so they don;t copy their parents for the bad stuff they do.

The message of this commercial is that technology can help people and provide them with opportunities to live their lives to the fullest. The commercial shows people getting help by using technology. For example, a boy with no legs got prosthetic legs and now he can play soccer and baseball. A little girl that could not talk got a device that help her talk. An elder man that was blind was able to see. Indeed, technology empowers people by giving hope to the hopeless and voice to the voiceless.

The product that they are selling is Microsoft technology. I know this because in the commercial there were people using a Kinect to do things with it. (A Kinect is a product made by Microsoft which uses a camera to senses your movements). Also because at the very beginning of the commercial the man had a Microsoft Surface.

This commercial is targeting everyone. I think that because it’s displaying what great things technology can do to help society. Microsoft makes a lot of superior tech and some of it helps people with things. The commercial is trying to make people buy Microsoft products by showing how their products help people to improve their quality of life.

1.I think the message of this commercial is that it’s not about what you can see on a person it's what they can do. I think that because everyone in the video had a goal but people say they can't do it because of their appearances.
2.The product being sold in this commercial is dove beauty products because it says dove at the end.

1 What is the message of this commercial? How do you know?
I think that the message is that every dog likes pedigree vitally + dog food so you should get it for your dog. I know this because all the dogs look really happy and were trying to reach up to grab it.

2 What is the product that is being sold in this commercial? How do you know?
I know that the product being sold in this commercial is pedigree vitally+ dog food. Since they showed it at the end of the commercial and all the dogs were trying to reach up and get the one piece of dog food that was flying in the air.

3 Who is the audience that this commercial is targeting? Why do you think that?
I think that the commercial is targeted at dog owners because this is a commercial for dog food. It's also entertaining so they might have done that because when kids are watching T.V or YouTube or something, they would see that add and because it's both cute and funny, young kids who do own dogs, could tell their parents and then their parents would know.

1. I think the message of this commercial is that many Jr. kids and even younger an way older kids are getting bullied and that they don't know what to do about it. But the truth is that they are wrong, you can do something about it. Stand up for your self and say....

"You know what I don't care what you think because I believe inn my self and there is nothing that you can do about that."

I know because in this video these people that are getting bullied are not doing ANYTHING about it.

2. Well in this commercial they are doing it for "Burger King", but the thing that I just don't get is that this commercial has nothing to do with "Burger King", but that I like. Why? Because they are trying to get the Pathos in your heart and trying to get people to realize that bullying is not the answer. I know because in this commercial it talks about how Jr.'s all over the world as well as younger and older children are getting bullied and that "Burger King" wants to support that.

3. The people that this commercial are the people who need to realize that they are totally and completely wrong about bullying and how it works. I think that they are also targeting the people who are getting bullied and that have to suffer that. They are trying to get people that are being bullied that they need to FIGHT BACK! Why do I think that? Because think of all the people just getting bullied for probably no reason what so ever. "Burger King" is trying to worn the people out there that are not feeling so good right now and that they NEED to ( As I say again ) STAND UP FOR YOUR SELF AND GET BACK ON YOUR FEET!

1. I think the message in htis commercial is that it doesn't matter what you look like. It just matters what you are on the inside. It showed women all over Canada saying that they can do whatever they like(for example: dress super nice even if they are fat, be a boxer even though they are a girl, or be a lawyer.)

2. The product being sold is the dove soaps because it says "Dove" at the end.

3. I think the audience the commercial is targetting women who think they don't look pretty. I think so because women say that it doesn't matter what you look like.

1. The message of this commercial is when thing get hard that is when people come from being average to great. They work and try different things not doing the same things repeatedly. They erase all doubt are confident and focus on their goal.

2. Under Armour running shoes because it's athletes running and wearing the shoes. It also shows a picture of the shoes at the end of the commercial.

3. Men and women who are athletic and believe that shoes will make them faster and winners and also have a winning attitude and want to be great.

1.This commercial is saying that we as women see ourselves more negatively than other people do. We are our worst critics. We need to feel more confident and comfortable about ourselves.
2. They are promoting self-confidence instead of a product. The commercial is sponsored by Dove soap as part of their amazing campaign to empower women.
3.They are targeting all girls and women because they are talking about women who may feel less than what they are.

2. This commercial is for Thai Life Insurance. In the commercial, they ask: "What is it that you desire most?" The answer is "A good life". They state that we should "Trust in god", and trust in "Thai Life Insurance".

3.The audience of his commercial is for people that buy life insurance.

The message of this commercial is the talking and support is what counts not medicine. Sometimes you need a friend to lead you through a difficult situation. And if someone needs a friend, be that friend that can help. I completely understood this commercial after watching it without any words it tells you super clearly with just visuals, which means its pretty touching.

No product is being sold... I think. I'm pretty sure the company just wants to send out a message to say medicine isn't always the answer. And like lots of commercials where the storyline and the brand don't mix, the one that I chose they fit perfectly, because what the company is about is making the world a healthier place (slogan).

I think this commercial is targeting parents for who have sick children and it gives out a very touching message to give out some sensitive feelings .

The message of this commercial is to see your future differently then most people see it and to see that there is always a way to succeed in life. The ad tells you that while everyone is distracted from their future, you can focus on it. It encourages you to stay focused and keep on track. It tells you that you can change the world if you see it from a different perspective.

I believe that the product this commercial is selling apple products. I think this because it's basically saying how the lives of the creators who made apple.

I think this commercial is targeting mainly young adults because it's telling them that they should see the world differently and change the world.

It's called born the hard way.

The message of this commercial is to pursue your dream no matter how hard it is to get there. I know that because it shows a man who has had a really hard and stressful life but he never gave up on his dream. He lived on a ship that annoying because every wave he was smashed out of his bed and had to get stiches. Then he moved to America but because he was German nobody wanted him there, but in the end his dream finally came true!

This commercial is selling Budweiser beer. The reason why I know this is (first of all at the end it says it's by Budweiser and) because he always has this notebook with him during the whole time and put his brewing ideas in it. Also when he is in St. Louis (in America I think) he goes to a bar and a man is kind enough to pay for his beer but then the man says
"next time we will be drinking MY beer"
And the man that bought his beer said
"I can help you make that dream of yours come true"

Lastly, I think the audience for this commercial is anyone with a big dream who maybe doesn't exactly believe in that dream coming true. I think this because it inspires you and tells you that it can come true.

2. There is no product that there selling but there something that there selling to you that isn't a product, there selling awareness for endangered animals so you ca donate and save them.

3. The audience that there targeting is everyone. They want to inform everyone that animals are going extict.
