Bonus: Who is the man in this picture? Why would he be in this picture?
Life, it’s all about practice. As we’ve talked about this week, it isn’t about the final product, it’s all about the process and the method of getting there. This week, pick one thing that you’re going to practice, that you’re going to get better at. Then, at the end of the week, write down in a descriptive paragraph what you worked on, how you practiced, and what results you noticed.
Bonus: Who is the man in this picture? Why would he be in this picture? This video shows another amazing example of storytelling; using song. While you watch this song, I want to you to think of our Freytag Pyramid. Listen to the story that Gordon Lightfoot tells us. What happens in this story? Your job is to write down what you think the author's message is for this story and to write if you think the author did a good job of telling the story. Why or why not? Jot that in the comments below.
Spread Some Awesome: Look at the quote to the left. Your task this week is something a little different, it’s time to spread some awesome. Do one thing this week that spreads some awesome, I don’t know how you’ll do it, or what it will look like but do it. SPREAD AWESOME! And, when you’ve done it, write down what you’ve done on our class blog. Inspire others, make a difference, be better, be great, BE THE BEST YOU! How do you define success? Are you feeling successful? This very interesting TedEd talk by Richard St.John takes conversations that he has had with extremely successful people and he has found 8 traits or things that they all do that have helped them succeed. For your blog post this week, I want you to pick one of these 8 traits and decide how you will use it this week, and what that will look like? Will you demonstrate passion during a sports event? Will you persist through a tough subject at school? It's totally up to you what you pick but write down a plan and see if it helps!
