Dear 100 Year Old Me!

On Monday, we will be celebrating our 100th day of school this year … 100 days! This year has flown by, and as I get older, the years seem to start going faster. I think back and remember my grade 5 class, and it feels so recently. As we think about 100 and 100 day, for which we are dressing up as if we’re 100 years old, I want you to think about what the world will look like when you’re 100, so 90ish years from now. But don’t just think about the world, think about you: what will you have accomplished, what do you want to remember, what would you say to your 100 year old self.
For you blog this week, write a letter to your 100 year old self. In this letter, you can talk about things you hope you accomplished, things you want them to remember from this year, and hopes for the world. This is your letter to you in the future, I can’t wait to read them!

Dear old me,

I have always wanted to become a singer when I am older, and i hope I accomplish that. I want to make people feel strong, proud and positive, and I thought of using music to do that. I also really want you to remember when I did the Vex robots and made it move around. It was so cool. I hope to also invent something that can conserve energy and not waste things. I hope I can do all the things I want to, and remember all the fun times with friends in school.

Hey 100 year old me,
When you read this you will probably be asking who is this lovely lady writing to me? Oh she's a darling, writing to an old back ach'n, grey haired, crazy women like me. Well maybe try reading this again slowly. Oh and don't forget the 5th word, it will help you out.Anyway I have one favor, can you eat something right now like a juicy burger or some spicy tacos ? Sorry I'm just really hungry and maybe if (I) eat something I'll feel a little better. Ok I'm sorry let's get back on track.I hope right now as you, well I am reading this letter you are living in a world where there is no violence or poverty and everyone is living a happy life.

Dear Old Me,

I hope some day ill become an actor and if your reading this then lets hope I live a few more year and congratulations I cant believe that im this old (Man I thought i'd die at 90 guess I was wrong). Also I will always remember my friends and my great teachers (*cough* Mr. Steltman *cough*). Another thing is I hope I accomplished my goals and im living the good life.

Dear my 100 year old self...

If you're still alive right now, great! That's something to look forward to. If it could be possible, I want my younger self to look at my older self and be proud. I want to remember the amazing things that I did in my life and remember that I really did something great. Somethings that my younger self, or like, six years old, or something could look at and think "wow, I'm gonna do that!" Like my vex robotics (both of them). A good thing about being 100 years old is that I won't remember the bad times or the things that don't matter. I'll remember the times that I had fun and have always lived with me....
(I just realized, how do I know all of that!?)

so, dear my 100 year year old self

you won't remember writing this letter. you also won't remember that you had black hair when you were little. But I hope you remember MR.STELTMAN! And that in the dark, dark days of the past, flying cars didn't exist.

Dear Old Me,

I hope that some day I can be a architect and also design houses.One thing that I want to remember about this year is Frog math because I thought that frog math was really hard and I think that I work really hard on it.And I also want to remember all the great friends I had and also all of my great teachers.I think that when I am old I will probably say to my self yes Emma you can do it you are so close to the last step of the stairs you can do it.

Dear 100 year part of me....
I hope that some day in my life I become a ACTRESS in MOVIES and TV shows. One thing I really want to remember of 2018 is our innovation projects because they took a lot of effort and working as a team with a group and I think that once I saw mine/others printed I knew that this was fun. I will always remember my friends and my 2018 teacher Mr.Steltman. I will remember the people in my class and how they were there every day to learn. I hope that when i am this old I can remember how great 2018 was and my goals to living a good life.

I hope I'm still alive at 100! First of all, I want you to remember (You probably still know this) that you had a great teacher in grade 5. Mr. Steltman would make something boring into fun and cool in any situation. I hope that I accomplished my dream of working in the culinary (cooking) workplace. I would've liked to go to Cordon Bleu. I hope that you keep in touch with all my friends of when you were smaller. I want you remember all the great times my friends and I had and all the time you spend with your family and pets.

I would just like to add another thing to say to myself. I had a great experience when building VEX robots. Are they still a thing now? Or did they take over or are they like huge transformers? I just want you to remember that I had a great experience building them and collaborating with my group. That’s some things I would like to say to my 100 year old self. Oh! And do you guys still use cars?

If I am still alive at 100 I will be amazed. So, I just wanted to remind you of the amazing times you had when you were younger. Do you remember having amazing fun with your friends? I hope you still know all of them. I really want to accomplish being an amazing soccer player so I can play the sport I love. Did I ever learn to sail a catamaran? If I did, did we race it against my dad and his friend? I hope I really enjoyed my life and left you with some great memories

Hello Ciaran. I'm 10 right now, in grade 5! The first thing I want you to remember is all of our... hmmm. My? Yours...... Okay I'll just say our. So I want you to remember our friends. They are so amazing and I hope we're still friends as you are reading this. I just want you to remember how they pulled us through every dark time in life. You should really thank them right this second with any new or super cool electronic item you have now, by the way, do you still have IPhone, is their like an IPhone 64, is there a new brand that beat out apple? Oh, do you guys still eat apples?! Okay, okay I'll stop. But really, thank them NOW! I'll excuse you from reading this note while you thank them. I hope you still appreciate them as much as I do now! Okay be honest. Do you even remember their names? YOU SHOULD!! It's only been... Oh wait, 90 years. Okay fine, I guess it's been quite a long time but still, there such great friends, the least you can do is remember their names!

Okay next. Here are some things that I want you to remember about grade 5! So the first thing is Mr. Steltman. I want you to remember all the fun things he let us do. He was so nice and he had such good, fun things for us to do instead of just boring old worksheets, he let us make INVENTIONS! Oh yeah, that's what I wanted to talk about next. Is our invention famous yet? Does everyone have our amazing jingle stuck in their heads yet? So that's what I wanted to remind you about. If our invention has already gone viral, then you, Romina and Willan are probably millionaires, but that's probably not happened (I mean I hope it has but come on, let's be realistic) then you guys probably don't even remember it. So that's why I'm here. We made a product called "Orgadesk" that was a storage based product. It was a two leveled box type thing that clipped on to the side of your desk and was used to keep any important paper that you didn't want to loose in your messy desk! Okay moving on (I just love talking about the Invention that we came up with) I want you to remember all the hard work that went in to our morning math problems. As of right now it's only about half way through our school year and I've already went through four math books and I'm on my fifth!!!! Just try to remember how hard we worked on all of that math!

And the final thing I want to ask. How is life in 2108? Are flying cars normal now? Do you even remember normal cars? Right now we have cars with 4 wheels, do you guys still even remember what cars are??? Do you not even have cars anymore? Do you guys use like mini rocket ships?! OH WAIT!!! DO YOU STILL LIVE ON EARTH!!????? WHERE DO YOU LIVE?! Okay, okay... I'll calm myself down now. So, are dogos still around. Do you guys have different pets? I would be really down if so. Do you still eat vegetables, because I've always wanted a way to get away without eating vegetables!!

Hello me! I'm 10 right now in grade 5! I hope when I'm 100 years old I would have been a Zoologist and travel around the world researching animals. Dear 100 year old Jamie,

My name is Jamie because I will probably change it when I’m older.
It probably looks different when I’m 100 for example Robots would be doing everything. Everything is electric so for example the toilet comes to me when I say. My house is very modern and I don’t really have to do anything.
Since this is me when I am 100 I will probably have a husband and have kids and grand children.
I will have a lot of wrinkles and I will always wear pink. I will have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 1 parrot and 5 hamsters.
Every body won’t have to do anything because robots will come and do everything. For example you can order groceries, some one will come and take care of your pets and everything will be very expensive and there will be hardly any jobs because the robot will do everything.
All the cars will probably be electric and my life would be very easy and I would not have to drive every wear and do everything.
There will be robots that take my laundry every day and does it for me. Life would be awesome. So that’s what I think I would be like when I’m 100.

Dear 100 year old me,

First of all, hopefully, I will be still alive when I’m 100. When I am older I hope that I will have become a mechatronics engineer. A mechatronics engineer designs and builds robots. You, future Alex, will worked hard to become one. You had to study the combination of software, electrical and mechanical engineering. The hard work in University paid off. You designed a robot that helped keep streets of cities clean. Your robot rolls around and picks up trash of the streets and disintegrates the garbage. Your robot helped eliminating massive landfills near cities.

I would like you to remember what great teacher you had in grade 5. His name was Mr. Steltman. We worked on these super cool projects like the Vex Robotics, The Wonder project and did other awesome things like the trip to a company in Toronto where we got to help programmers coding apps for doctors to use in hospitals.
Also, you appreciated acquiring some new friends while cherishing old friendships. You and your friends were having an amazing time together, going on trips and hanging out. On the fiftieth jubilee of friendship with old friends from John. T. Tuck, we got to orbit the moon 50 times. On our seventy-fifth jubilee of friendship we were allowed to use the first functional teleporter. We chose to go to a dwarf planet called Kepler 186-f and were the first ones to step foot on it. That was the most astonishing thing you and I have ever experienced.

My hopes are that 90 years from now there will be no additional extinct animals in comparison to what we had in 2018. I also hope that all people we will be living in safe and healthy communities. I want a world that we can all share, respect and care for.

Right now I'm 10 and it's 2018 so when i grow up i think i want to be a storm chaser because when it rains i always get fascinated bye how it happens and why. I hope I get to see a tornado form. I hope the world has survived global warming or that people learned to stop littering or that weird cyborg aliens have not invaded earth so if your in the middle of the world ending right now, just saying this letter is awesome so you might still want to read it just saying any ways I hope you got one of the many jobs that you wanted and your kids did to (i'm not going to list them or we would be sitting here all day) and that you've had a very happy and enjoying life. I hope you are a good person and try'ed to achieve all of you're goals. do you remember in grade 5 where Mr. Steltman was the best teacher ever and that we got to do so many amazing things and when you got to go skiing every weekend and you won a couple of metals!? well I remember because i'm the one living in it. I hope the world looks the same or better. I hope there is no more pollution/litter. I want to become a engineer or be a professional baseball player and hockey player. Yes I am saying hi to me… but to when I’m older. Now I probably won’t be reading this because I will be living my peaceful life. I hope I lived alone but with expensive things, but I don’t want a big house… I want a small one, not to small though because I’m tall. But that will change when I’m older… but how old, too much? Yeah too much. When I’m older I’ll be a…a…a…something, no I do not know and neither do you. I will have a French bulldog to keep me company. I’ll name her lulu and hopefully she’ll like lemons. I will live life to the fullest, and one day in my life I want to skydive ( for real though).

Ok, ok. So maybe that was not appropriate but the 3rd one is. Am I a teacher? Because I have been dreaming to be a teacher since...well...hold on...uhh..OH! Since I was 7..I think. I am sorry I have a horrible memory. Imagine how memoryless I will be after I am 100 years old! Ugh. Ok I am just going to cut to the chase.

Sooo, 100 year old me that I am calling Lizzy. The first thing that I want you to remember with your horrible memory is... SUNNY! Sunny is my horse if you didn't know. If you are reading this Sunny I will write a letter to you because if I am 100 and when I was ten you were 9 then you would be 99 so almost perfect! I hope I will remember all the good times I had with you. You
challenged and pushed me to be a better ridder by being the fast horse that (hopefully) people already know. You are also so caring when I come up to you. So thank you for being..well..YOU! I even got you a halter, your own private brush and a lead rope! And that is why I want to remember you.

Dear 100 year old me,

I want to accomplish being a player in the NHL because I have been playing hockey all my life. I want to play with great people and be great at hockey and have lots of fun. I want to remember having a great teacher Mr. Steltman and the fun thing we did like Vex, frog math, wonder showcase and coding. I hope that the world stops pollution and gets control of global warming so animals like polar bears won't be extinct and people in the future will have an healthier environment and better place to live.

First I have a question. Am I living on Proxima Centauri b? because if I am then that would be awesome. Moving on I have some more questions. Did I go to IB and go to Harvard or something like that? I've always wanted to go to Harvard. After getting an education did I invent something crazy and get super rich? Speaking of getting super rich, am I rich? I'd love to be rich. Do I have a cool car? wait, do cars even exist?!. By the way did I ever ride on the trans-Siberian Railway and/or climb K2. Remember my brothers pet Sundy and how by brother always yelled at me to feed her? Well I hope I still remember writing this and actually read this.
