Writing a SPOOKY Story!

In the next few weeks, we’re going to be recording our own stories to drop in places around CH Norton as a part of a soundscape project. For this week, you have two choices, you can write a story that uses this photo as a setting for a story. Be sure to use all the descriptive words you can to make the reader feel like they’re in that scary place with you! Your other option is that I’d like you to talk to your family, friends, etc. and see if any of them know a good spooky story. For your blog post, your job is to write it down as they tell it to you and to make sure you’re adding in spots to make your voice be super spooky. This whole assignment is going to be about practicing how we tell stories and how to use our voices to share meaning, so write a good story so you can tell a good story!

One day on a dark night a man was driving into an area where there was danger all around. He did not read the sign when he came in. The sign said Danger Zone! He found an old, broken home where he thought he could spend the night. Then he heard werewolves bang on the sides of the house. Bang, bang, bang! The man was frightened. He heard woohoooo, woohooooo! He tried to leave the cold misty forest but his car was out of gas. Clunk, clunk. He locked the doors and windows and hid in his car until day time so he could make his escape. Then he woke up from his dreams safe and sound in his bed. Phew!

The sound in the woods.

Every night at midnight I hear a sound in the woods.The sound carries through the trees and all around the forest. The sound would start at midnight and would go on all night. One evening I went to find out where the sound comes from. As I walked in the forest I saw a cabin;it looked old and broken. I deceided to go inside and check it out. When I walked in I saw a rocking chair moving but no one was on it. I heard someone say hello and I said hello back. When I looked down it was the chair talking to me and it asked me to sit down on it. I yelled as loud as I could and ran away from the cabin as fast as I could. I have never gone back into the forest at night evert again. But sometimes at night I still hear the sound of that voice through the forest...

One night I was laying in my cozy bed, about to fall asleep when I heard a creaking noise. It was coming from downstairs! When I went to look, it wasn't just coming from the house, it was coming from the woods behind my back yard! I found a flashlight and opened the door. I ran out to see what was happening - there was a little cottage that I had never seen before. It was all banged up. I kept following the sound that was coming from the little cottage. When I went inside to check it out, all I saw was a bed. This bed was just a mattress on the floor of the cottage. I knew the sound must be coming from the bed. I went to look under the bed and found a tiny trap door - too small for me, but big enough for a rabbit. I opened the trap door and a potion popped up beside me. It said "tiny size", which I drank and fell into the world on the other side of the trap door...

It was a dark and stormy night when our school bus took the old road though the dark forest. I looked out the windows and saw a spooky house. A rocking chair moved back and forth, but no one was there. After a flash of lightening I thought I saw something crawling on the side of the bus. All of a sudden, the bus came to a stop. The bus driver told us he had to go outside and check the tires.
I felt scared and nervous, I thought something was out there. It seemed to take forver for the bus driver to return. I thought he disappeared in the lightening. When the bus driver returned and fixed the tire, I felt much better. We got home a little later than usual, but I was glad to be home.

Two boys go camping but... something is there its hairy its massive its at least fifteen feet tall! The two boys are scared it looks like a big ape and it is watching them. They ignore the ape... my friend has been missing aaaaaaaaaaaa said mason he picks up a big stick I'm finding my friend. Mason calls out for Jack five times finaly Jack came back.The ape ran off it was scared from the big stick.

there was a creepy cabin in the woods. Every night there was a werewolf howling and owls hooting and bears growling. Bats fly over the cabin every night. There were explorers trying to look inside the cabin. They didn't know that the cabin was haunted. Once explorers went into the cabin they never left. They would be pulled down by ghosts who casted them down into a deep hole where they were attacked by giant spiders and sent to the bottom of the world for eternity.

There was a werewolf that lived in a cabin in the middle of a dark and spooky woods. One day an explorer came and asked to stay in the cabin because he was tired and his feet hurt. He was scared of the werewolf, but the werewolf told him not to be scared because he only loved eating veggies. The explorer didn't fully believe him and went to sleep feeling scared. When the explorer woke up, as payment for staying in the werewolf's home, he gave the werewolf some sausage out of his backpack. "That's a funny veggie", the werewolf thought. He gobbled it up, and got a taste for meat. The taste of meat was so good he forgot all about veggies, and gobbled up the visitor as well. The end.

Once there was a man and he was driving and he got lost and his fuel ran out. He walked for some time and saw a spooky forest. He walked into the forest. He saw a very old house and he got into the house. He heard a sound and when he looked through the window, he saw a skeleton, coming up from the ground and a werewolf coming out of the forest. They wanted come into the house and attack the man. They banged and banged and the house was destroyed. The man somehow escaped from the house and ran away. He finally got out of the forest.

There was a house in the middle of no where.In a spooky forest with wolfs, Coyotes and lots of anamils . The people living in the house acted like anamils they ate anamils but not just that when they ate they ate like anamils . Then one day some other people came for a walk thougth the forest and when they walked by the house the little kid said lets go in . Then they saw the anamil/people and they went ahhhhhh! And RAN HOME .

Once there was a man in a forest and he was super hungry. He saw a house made out of candy. That was his only food so he ate some of it. A evil witch came out of the door and tied him in a rope and put him over a fire but he escaped and found another house made out of infinite waffles. When he at a piece of the waffle house, it magically grew back. There was no one home and then the grumpy witch came home and scared him. The witch was very nice and let him eat her house because the other witch was one of her enemies.

Once there was a man in the forest and ate people and he was crazy and scary then one day two kids kicked there ball in the forest by accident so they went and grabbed the ball but the man was there and made a nose it was like grrrrrrrrrrrrr! and then he pointed at them and said I am going to eat you and so he did and the kids were never seen again but he ate 4000 people already

one dark spooky night I was walking in the forest and found a creepy old cabin so I went inside and as soon as I stepped in I heard a creak in the floor it scared me so bad I ran into a spider web so I kept walking and found stairs that lead to the basement I heard a voice ran up the stairs and out the door and never went back.

There was this grave yard that people avoided because it was creepy and there were really creepy sounds. There was a house in the graveyard and in the house, people say there were zombies. One night there was these kids who went to this house on a dare on a spooky night. They heard creepy sounds coming from up stairs so they went upstairs and screamed, "HELLO ANY ONE HERE?" One of theme saw a window and in the window they saw green hands in the grave yard.
Then they heard a door screech open, and there were a dozen zombies. "RUN!" they all screamed, and then there was that creepy sound again. It was a pack of wolves, and then one of the wolves pulled off her face and turns out it was a mask. Then she said, "HAPPY HALLOWEEN".

One day a girl made blood red cookies for her grandma. She decided to walk them over to her grandma’s house and she had to walk through a flower field. While the girl was walking, the flowers came to life and attacked her. They grabbed her leg and tried to pull her down. She kicked and was able to break free. The flowers chased her all the way to her grandma’s house. Her grandma said, finally you brought my favourite snack, blood cookies! Oh did I forget to tell you, Grandma is a vampire!!!

One dark night these 3 kids where camping in the forest and they heard something and one kid went to go look what was in there and something grabbed him and he never came back and the tow boys were scared and they went to go find him and something snatched them from behind and those kids were to be never seen again
