This week we had such a neat opportunity to learn from The Water Brothers, who have an amazing program on TVO that showcases worldwide as well as local issues with water.  They showcased why water is important, some of the problems with water and some solutions that we can focus on to help the future. For your blog post this week, I want each of us to make some promises, set some goals and actually do something.
Here’s the challenge:  For your post
  • Research on the dive deeper section of the water brothers website
  • Set 1 goal for yourself with regards to water.  Be specific about what goal you are working towards and when you want to achieve it by.
  • Write about one thing that you’ve done to consume less water this week.

1 goal I have regards to water day is that to IMPROVE WATER QUALITY. I think that because the ocean has so much plastic even the animals in the ocean cant even handle it. The animals are dyeing from it! Plus who wants to be swimming in the ocean with pollution.

I have consumed les water this week by washing my hand in the rain. This took me about 3-4 minutes to do, it was sorda tough.

1 goal that I have that regards to water day is to not waste water. 95 percent of people waste there water by taking long baths or showers, leaving the faucet on while brushing teeth, and some people even forget about their leaking pipes. How we can all not waste water is by turning of the faucets, make sure to take short showers, reuse water that was for cooking, and make sure to have a full laundry and dishwasher before turning it on.

This week I have consumed less water by taking short showers and one I told my mom to do is too use the cooking water for watering the plants.

1 goal I have is to when ever I have a water from sports or school insted of putting tye water in the sink I shoud
1. use it for something like a coffee michine
2. Use it for something like plants.
I think That I should be able to acheive it by mid april or maybe even earlier. The only thing that I think would hold me back is that I would have to get used to doing the exact same thing.I have try to leave the water off as much as I can and to also to try not to take long showers.

THE END!

One goal according from me is - showing you how to not waste water. It would be best if you never use the toilet as a trashcan, keep a bottle of drinking water in the refrigerator - running tap water to cool it off for drinking is wasteful, if you wash dishes by hand, don't leave the water running for rinsing, and make sure you shower from 5 to 10 minutes. It takes about 50 gallons to fill up the whole tub for a bath but showering only waste half of it.

Water could be the key to finding life.

Set 1 goal for yourself with regards to water
Stop drinking water from disposable plastic water bottles. I will try to fill up my reusable water bottle more frequently and tell my mom and dad to stop buying those plastic disposable ones. We do recycle a lot but I just saw how some of the plastic can get into the ocean and harm sea animals. It will take a while for me to convince my parents to stop buying bottled water so let’s say it will take me 3 months. I can start drinking water from my reusable water bottle more often starting tomorrow. That’s awesome.

One thing I have done to consume less water this week is by setting a timer when I go to shower so I don’t stay in the shower too long and use up too much water.

The ocean is highly polluted because of humans.25% (32 of 128 species) of ocean creatures are endangered. Well that what Google says🤡 Anyway here are some goals that I've set for myself to save water and of course you can try theese but give me credit cause i'M a pROffesinAl.

First of all to take shorter showers. Like instead of taking 20 hours maybe take 20 minutes.

If you have this random water just lying around or some water from something else you did use it for your plants.Or use it for something else like watering the grass that i advise you to touch so your lawn dosn't look like like a crusty rusty dusty patch of overgrown greenish yellow blades of grass.

Also I know people are always like wASh YOUR HAnDs For 30 secONdS but if so many people do that then it's like takes 4 gallons of water (also what google said). If you did it for only like 15-20 seconds your saving water. I didn't do the math because I'm so lazy it can't be explained with words. Maybe this will explain it

🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿

so beatifully expressive am i right?

It is important to save water because of so many reasons. Water shortages are a big problem in so many countries and it would help to save water to fix this problem. It is also affecting the environment such as sea creatures and also it affects the wildlife and plants. We can all help save water, but one thing I can help do is to spend less time in the shower. In the pass I’ve felt I have been using a lot of water, and now I have been trying to not use too much water.

Drinking water may activate your metabolism. A boost in metabolism has been associated with a positive impact on energy level.

One study found that drinking 500 milliliters of water boosted the metabolic rate by 30 percent in both men and women. These effects appeared to last over an hour.

My Goal/promise/thing I 've been trying to do this week is that whenever I am thirsty I will drink all my water (this sounds weird) because whenever I need water I will drink how much I want to then dump the rest in the sink . I shouldn't do that because around 2 billion people don't have access to clean and safe drinking water and approximately 3.6 billion people that's almost 46% of the world's population !! So I should not waste water because imagen all those other human beings who don't have CLEAN water imagine all the Kids/Adults hardworking people who don't have water you might not even be able to last gym class without water and they don't have clean water at all one human being needs at least 8 glasses of water PER DAY .. Also we need to not just worry about clean drinking water but water in the ocean. More than 700,000 miles of waterways, about 51 percent of river's , lakes , streams, are affected by this percent! So instead of "Garbage "in our oceans one way you can save the Ocean (Like Aaliyah said) using water bottles (not plastic ones ) that solves both of the problems that I stated !

Happy Water week / day !!

My goal, is I want to stop pouring a tall glass of water and then if I have some left, I dump out the rest in the sink. I want to stop doing this because when I do do it, I waste that water. Instead of dumping the water in the sink, I want to save it and drink it later, or pour it in the plants in my room. I think it is important to save the water and keep it for different things because most things in this world need water. If there was not any water in the world it would actually look something like this? (It should be on the top of the classroom) I will definitely start doing this now, so that I don't waste more water than I need.

Water is very important to us and I’ll do everything I can to save it. One thing I learned from the water brothers website is that it takes a lot of water to make food. Right now, I am doing two things to save water. Here are the two ways:

First, while I brush my teeth I will turn the faucet off. I have a habit of keeping it on a lot while I’m brushing my teeth. I did it a couple times in the past week and I’m glad I saved the littlest bit of water.

Second, I take very long showers and I know that can waste a lot of water. I’m trying very hard to make showering shorter for me. I might punish myself by making the water slightly colder so it forces me to shower faster. That is a harsh method but it works. These are the ways I can save water!

In conclusion, I hope in the future more and more humans pay attention and we continue to save water!

Something I learned from the water brothers website is that 3.5 percent of the Pacific ocean. That doesn't seem like to much but the water is still salty. 0-o

My goal to save water is to not dump out the rest of the water that's in my cup. I will try acheive this goal by 1. Drinking all the water in the cup, and 2. Even though I might not need the rest of the water I can save is it the cup for later and put it in the fridge.

To try and take shorter showers because it will save lots of water.
One thing I did this week to help save water was not run the tap when I was brushing my teeth. If everyone did this we would save a lot of water each day.
