Whooo Are You? Who Who?

A big focus of grade five has been thinking about who we are and who we want to be. In Wonder, we read that the most important question is “What kind of person do I want to be?” To help us answer this question, we need to know where we came from. We have been working on writing retells in 5-1 over the past few weeks and we decided that having a powerful introduction is one of the best ways to grab your reader’s attention and make them want to read our writing. This week you will be writing the introduction to YOU, to your story, to figure out where you’ve been so you can figure out who you want to be! Write the introduction to your biography.

Appeal to your reader’s feelings and senses

I am Kenzie. My birthday is April 8, and I was born on Easter 2012. I am in grade five, and I am 10 years old. I live in Burlington, Ontario in a house connecting to another house. I live with my Moms, my brother, and our two pets, Seymore(Dog), and Scooter(Turtle). I love the colors pink and purple, and my favorite food is tacos! I love anything underwater, I especially love Sea Turtles!

When I grow up I (Think) I want to be a Marine Biologist. A Marine Biologist, is a scientist who studies the ocean. I want to be a Marine Biologist because I love the underwater creatures! I think they are more interesting that land animals, or animals that fly. I think this because most land animals have legs, and eyes, and tails. Underwater creatures though, they have thing like fins, flippers, and tentacles. Underwater creatures also have some things that other creatures may not have like, eyes(And other facial features), feet, or even bones! Some creatures even have mouths on the bottom of there body's. I think that underwater are something more interesting to study, and that is why I want to become a Marine Biologist.

So this is why I want to be a Marine Biologist when I grow up.

My name is Jack I am curious, funny and like talking. I was born in summer. I do not like summer that much. it would be nice if I had a winter Birthday, But I like how my birthday is. My hobbies are: playing hockey now in winter, I am very excited to play hockey in winter. another hobby I have was play soccer in the summer.

Who I would want to be when I grow up is a pilot. I hope I could get my pilot licence.
Also fun fact: you can get your pilot licence before your drivers licence. Being a pilot sound harder than you think.

The type of person I want to be? well when I am older I want to be a teacher . I want to be a teacher beacuse I will have POWER! and I think it will fun and why not be a teacher ? Hello, my name is Aaliyah. I am ten years old and I live in Burlington, Ontario. Up until 2 months ago, I lived in Downtown Toronto. In my home, I live with my Dad, my Mom, and my little sister. My favourite colours are light blue and hot pink. My favourite game is Uno. I really like to teach others how to play Uno. I also like to play piano, dance, and play sports like soccer and swimming.

When l grow up l want to be a Writer. I want to write books about teenagers and school. I really enjoyed reading The Harry Potter Series and also watched the movies. I picked the quote above because I really love all things Disney. My favourite vacation was when I went to Disney World in 2019. I had so much fun. My mom and Dad always tell me to “Dream big” and “Stay Positive”, so when I heard this quote. I really liked it. Hello my name is Grace and I was born on September 7th 2022, and born in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. I am in grade five (as you all know already) And I really love to make comics with my bestfriends. My favourite sport is soccer and cheer and I have been doing both for a while now.

I Left my first home, also known as her tummy,on December 4th, 2012 and made it into the real world. My parents named me Luke David Dulong because my dad is a big Star Wars fan. I have lived in Burlington my whole life, in The same house and I never want to move. I'm a big brother to Ben and he is 6 years old. We are the best of friends but We fight sometimes. I had a dog named Jack who was a great pup with lots of energy. I still miss him.

I left my mom's stomach on april 12 2012 at 12:22 am. To me I think I can be funny annoying and easy to be annoyed. When I grow up I really really really want to be an architect. but if I don't that's okay even though it will require me to be at school for probably a lot of years at school.I just like to be building stuff well I don't like to put myself in danger. Building things I like to be the guy who makes the blueprints it all out and makes it feel like I'm building it all inside my head that is who I am and who I want to be.
