We Stand With You as You Fight!

I heard about this incredibly powerful ad for sick kids hospital on CBC the other morning and I knew I had to use it for our blog post. When I first watched it, tears formed in my eyes because I was so moved by the fight that happens each and every day in Toronto Sick Kids (as well as every other) hospital. While I hope that we never need their fight and dedication, we know that it’s there for us and that there are kids your age in there, fighting every day!
I was thinking about what we could do to make a difference and I linked it to PAX and the war that we see happening in the book. The kids in the hospital are in a war, and how can we support them? For your blog post this week, I want you to write a letter to a child fighting a disease in a hospital. You don’t have to mention a specific disease but I would like you to write a letter that brings them some light while they continue their fight! A message of positivity and hope can help someone continue through their challenges. Use what we talked about about writing a focussed paragraph/ paragraphs.
Let's stand with these brave children and they continue their fight!

i hope that the kids at sickkids hospital.can beat the illness or the diesease because kids should not have to battle there dieseases they have to fight every day.its so emotinal to see these kid die from these terrible dieseases

You are so Brave in trying to fight you disease. I will do everything to help you stay alive. I can understand that you have gone though a lot in your life. I hope that you eventually fight off your disease and live a happier life. For everyone at Sick Kids

I can't even think about how hard your lives are, being in and out of schools, living at the hospital it just all seems horrible. But, still, every day you wake up, no matter what is happening, Guillain Barre Syndrome, Cancer or Multiple Sclerosis, your still here every day. YOU make me proud to be Canadian, YOU fight every single day, if you have been here for a day or for a year, you know how hard it is. I only know the emotional half of it, you know the whole pain. I really want to say thank you so much for empowering people all across Canada, I hope you defeat those diseases, and heal those bones and nerves. Bye!

I Can't even think about what you kids must go through every day, it must be so hard to get through a day with the problems you have. Dear Sick Kids Hospital,
Each and every one of you is so, incredibly brave. You each fight your own battle every day. You're stronger then any disease. You aren't weak. I believe in you. In you all. I want to offer you encouragement even if you don't feel you need any. I don't understand what you're going through, but I do understand that it must be stressful to be in the hospital and to be in a bad situation. Kids at Sick Kids Hospital I now how hard it is to have something that you have to fight every day I can only imagine how hard it will be for you. Courage is the thing that will defeat all the diseases. I can't even think how hard it would be to stay in the hospital everyday and fight all these diseases, I can't believe how strong you are and how difficult it is to be excluded from other kids and have another life, but I believe that you are stronger than anything, I believe you can fight the diseases, all of you can. You are not the only one who is fighting medical disorders. You make us special by fighting your diseases. It is very emotional seeing you fighting diseases. Remember: "Keep on fighting and never give up just like the breathe of a dragon." I hope this quote would inspire you a lot. There's millions of people who are sick in the hospital. You guys are havening problems most days but I hope you guys can fight back and cure some of your problems, I hope they can find a way to stop the hurting so they could work on you to fix you and so you could be laying in bed or wherever you guys are and not be having to think about much but fun. hi! im rumaysa, from river oaks public school! hows it going? you must be having a hard time fighting the disease you have. but dont worry, hopefully everything will be better soon! i know it isnt graet, having to be carted everywhere, and be in lots of pain, fighting cancer OR multiple sclerosis, or any other disease you may have. stay strong! you amy feel like you want to give up, and thats totally understandable! but remember, there are some people out there who have it worse. want to hear a joke? its... Dear friend / friends at SickKids Hospital,

You are so brave I could never imagine what you have to go through everyday, fighting whatever Your body needs to so you can stay healthy and happy. If you are someone who has to stay at SickKids hospital a lot and sleep there I am very very sorry for you and hope you'll be able to go home and stay home for a while and be healthy even though SickKids hospital. I am amazed at you. You are there and fighting a disease and you are still standing! I hope you can win your fight. Look everybody has a struggle, ours may not be as big or as long lasting as yours but I just want you to know so many people care for you. You may be down, but you'll get back up, just remember if you fall down get back up. I know that you do not want to have the things that affect your body like it does. I want to write this letter to everyone at sick kids hospital that has been through lots of diseases .

You have been fighting diseases through out your whole life and I cannot even Imagine who would have to do that at a very young age you people are so strong within yourself . In life you will be knocked down but you won't be knocked out . That's when you have to fight back at cancer and say it's not over until I win. You have shown everybody that you aren't going to let cancer take you out you all have been very brave . Soon you will get out of that hospital. After that go forth and spread love!

If I had to choose between a rich kid and a sick kid I would choose sick kid or pick rich kid and donate all my money.
