Viral Videos!

2/5/2015

I think it’s one of the most interesting things in the world how a video all of sudden goes viral.  It almost seems like magic for someone to put something up and then it has millions of views.  I’m super happy that one of my videos has over a thousand views (that’s right, how to spell check in google docs)!  Today I’d like you to watch the video above.  I just heard about it on the radio this morning and when I watched it, it had about 477 000 views.  Watch the video and in your blog post underneath answer the following questions.

Why do you think that videos go viral?  What makes people want to share some videos and not others?

Do you think this is an effective way to create change?  Why or Why not?

What’s your favourite viral video … post a link to it and explain why you think it was able to go viral.

I think videos go viral because the type of video it is and if it is someone who is well known by a lot of people. I think some videos are share and some are not because not all videos are interesting or something people want to watch. I think for many videos it is a good way to create change because it may a video about something that will inspire people to do something that will create change. Here is my favourite viral video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6PbdJiAK84 ( sorry if link don't work)
think it was able to go viral because it is from a video game and it hilarious

My favorite video that went viral is "Evil Hamster." It is found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqqQ-3tTZig
Copy and paste this on new tab to watch video. Hits- 588,879; Made in - 2007;

I think the Maple Leaf video could create a change because if the Maple Leaf players watched the video it could inspire them to play harder

Videos go viral when they are funny or exciting. The reasons some videos don't go viral is because they are boring or meaningless.

i think videos go viral because of the how funny, weird, or just plain dumb they are like the video of the surprised gofer or wantever

I think that videos go viral because a lot of people can relate to them and they are usually about popular current events.
I think that some people want to share there videos because they feel comfortable about what other people think, Also I think that some people don't want to share the videos because they might not like what other people think and what they say might hurt them.
I think that this is an effective way to make change because it can reach lots of people.

I think that this video went viral because a lot of people like seeing cats and some people like seeing cats getting scared.

I think that videos go viral because they have content that a range of people enjoy watching. If people have the same opinion and someone makes a video with that opinion then people will probably watch it.

I think you can create change depending on what you post because some things are so incredibly stupid and people post them for because they are bored and want to find something to do. Other videos can create change because they inform people of something or they show people how to do things or they just make you laugh.

My favourite viral video right now would have to be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YBheuHma8I
Babies eating lemons:)

I think that viral videos have kinda the same concept as vines because most of the time they are either hilarious or really catchy, what that does is that only one person has to see the video and than they will tell all of their friends about it and their friends will tell all of their friends about it and then BOOM!!!!!!! its viral. Another way that I think a video can go viral is by sharing it, this also has sort of the same concept because it is again going to their friends and their friends and then BOOM!!!!!!! its viral. I don't know any viral videos so I will just not post a link.

I think videos go viral because people want to be entertained whether the videos is good or bad. I think they want to share the one they like.

I don't think it will make change because most of it is just for laughs.

My favorite viral video is BatDad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xShg52s1ZJk. It's my favorite because it shows a Dad being Batman (I also love Batman).

I think that videos go viral because the people who post it share it with celeb or stuff then they get most views and people who surf YouTube and find it then you find it on most popular

My favorite viral video is Clash of clans revenge add because it was the biggest super bowl add featuring liam neeson with 35,063,417 views in 7 days.

My parents were laughing so hard at some parts in the video.

I think videos go viral because of entertainment, when people are bored or they are at work, the scroll through their phones or computers and see the newest rage. One day someone is bored, there watching some Youtube videos or read the newspaper whatever it happens to be, and someone makes or talks about a viral video. Whether it sounds appealing to you or not, your bored of course your going to watch it. After they watch the video, whether they think it's funny or not, they share on facebook or instagram or something, and then everyone else who's bored goes and watches it and BOOM, it's a never ending cycle of bored people watching viral videos!

I think some people want to share videos and not others because, well it depends on the video, everybody is different and has their own style. Some people like comedy, some people like serious or some people like sports it depends on your liking. In this case it is about the Toronto maple leafs (hockey), and personally I wouldn't have shared this video because I am not a big hockey fan. So it really depends on the type of video.

I think it could make a change because someone who saw this video and have always wanted to be a singer could give them an idea to put out a video on youtube and maybe it could become bigger then youtube, I mean look at what Justin Bieber did, he put out a video on youtube and now he's a big star! Someone could have also watched this video and said, hey I should tryout to be on the Toronto Maple Leafs (just kidding, but it could maybe happen, lol)

My favourite viral video is probably talking twin babies, oh my gosh it is so funny. It's pretty much two twin babies having a deep conversation, it is so funny and I totally think everyone should go watch it! Trust me you will laugh!!!
(I can see that the links are not working but as I said it's call "talking twin babies)

I think that the reason videos go viral is because the videos are more entertaining then other videos.

I think videos go viral because they have a concept that a lot of people may find interesting like Toronto Maple Leafs. Viral videos can have a lot of different things that make them viral for example funny or a song people enjoy, but it goes viral because people may have really enjoyed it or it spoke to them, in a emotionally way or happy way.

I think people share there videos, and some people don't because maybe they didn't want to show there talents to the world. The people that share there videos maybe want to get famous, and share what they believe in, when other may not believe.

I think this is an effective way to make change because people all across the world can see what the video's mean to people, it could be funny or not. The Toronto Maple Leaf video showed what this guy believed in for the Leafs, and I think that people will see how much effort he put into it, and think of how this guy believed in this team. People all across the world would start believing, and I really think it's an effective way to make change.

I don't have a favorite viral video.

I think this video went viral because usually if people really love a video, they want to show OTHER people and make them laugh or see if they love it as much as they do. Also, usually it would start a chain of sharing. I think this video was shared a lot because it was funny and so true! (>XD)
I think that this would push the leafs to try harder, or plain out just be mean. The thing is though, the leafs will try to win so that they don't get 'bullied' outside of the rink.

I think this is one of the BEST videos of all time because the first time I saw this, I laughed SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard. They may be fake but it's still funny.

I think a video has a lot of steps before it goes viral. So usually people hear about new songs, videos on the radio and youtube. In this case someone made a parody of a song and lot of people probably search up things on the internet,at least 1.4 million.
Then they type in the song or video they want to see, the answers come up and they look at the stuff that pops up. Then they have a parodys of the songs.Out of 1.4 million at least 50,000 will check 1 video with the parody and that's how I think a video goes viral.

I think it is an effective way to create change because its creative to make parodies. You are making your own lyrics in some of the verses in the song but with the same tune of another song, making it funny and entertaining.

my favorite viral video is http://viralvideochart.unrulymedia.com/youtube?id=OPf0YbXqDm0

uptown funk by bruno mars!!!!!! Here's the link

I think videos go viral because more and more people watch them and they tell other people about the video then they watch it. and when its highly viewed it comes up in your youtube feed and people watch it

Some things that make videos go viral is they are eye catching. They have a colorful picture that shows what it is. The title is what happens. Another thing is that they are funny. There is things that caught my eye like Dramatic Chipmunk, Sneezing Panda those videos. The title was funny and explained it so I watched it and it had so many views! Also people that find the video show they're friends so they watch it they show they're friends and it keeps going on.

I think this video will show a change because people in Canada have been losing faith in the leafs. But now someone made a parody about it telling them not to lose faith.

My favorite viral video is Sneezing Panda

I think how viral videos go viral is because on how original and unique it is, kind of like the batman eating a hot dog video; no one made a batman eating a hot dog video and everyone loved it! Kind of like all of the other viral video's, they all are unique and original in their own way.

My favourite viral video is Cool Guy has Chill Day

I think videos go viral because....................
Sometimes they are about something that everybody likes or people can share it on social media and the chain keep going on and people want to see it because everyone else watches it and likes it.

I think this video is an effective way to create change because maybe the leafs will win for once (not that I want them to win) and they will see that their fans really do care about them.

One of my favourite viral videos!!

I think videos go viral because of media. It all starts like this, some famous youtube posts a hilarious video or something very interesting then the web explodes with excitement and you friends and every one stars talking about it. Then all those people that hear about it our find it on there daily search go and watch and then CABLAMO make it rain dem views. Then after that really popular video comes out the person gets a lot of subscribers and than they make another viral video and then they get that many more people that now about the Channel and it spreads even more and then its just a cycle.

Okay now do I think this is a great way to make a change. Well Its a good start, because as you know the leafs are stinking the bed right now and loosing all their games and they don't have a good team, It should say something to them. Maybe the coaches/team will realize they are doing something wrong and make a change and then they might go the other direction. Also its a good way to make a change because they are using a popular song and putting a parody of it on social media and it will get out to a lot of people.

What is my favourite viral video. Well its hard to say honestly I don't watch youtube that often but I like Vanoss gaming, What makes him good Is that he's active and he posts often and he really puts time and effort to make and edit his videos.

I think this video went viral because it is a popular song that is turned into a funny cheer to get the Maple Leafs to play better and lots of people can relate. Videos go viral because they are funny or have cute kids or they have something that appeals to people -- like a good song.

My favourite viral video is "Revenge" - A Minecraft Parody of Usher's DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love. You can see it at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hyk6yxSK_w It is a cool song and has cool graphics and I think kids and teens and even adults will like it so that is why it would go viral. It appeals to lots of people. It has 153,209,715 and counting views.
