Short Stories Featuring Your Characters!

So far our characters have been created, given personality’s, had their first day of grade six, and gotten into an argument. Your final task this week is to write a short story involving your character. Think about what may happen in a short story (setting, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action) and you can plan your story out any way you like. This story is completely yours and I’m excited to see which direction you take it. Feel free to involve a classmate’s character in your story.

It has been a great time playing with my character and making stories. I know that not everybody in Gr.6 does this stuff so I'm really thankful to be in this class. I have had fun creating my character and now its time to make a short story. My story is featuring Chloe's character..Devon Rose.

“I cannot believe you two, how can you be so irresponsible” Said Mr. Johnson.

Oh wait, let me start from the beginning.

It was a sunny morning in the middle of October and well I was MISERABLE, ever since me and Stacey got into that fight all I could think about was how much I HATED HER. But I still missed her so much! I have had no one to talk to. Plus every time we pass in the hall she always gives me a dirty look. ME! I didn't even do anything!!!! Now Stacey is popular and I’m left in the shadow. And to top it off I got transferred to Ms. Brooks class.

“Megan can you please tell us what 9x3 is?” Ms. Brooks said, purposely interrupting my day dream.

“20” I answered. What an easy question.

“No, It’s 27. Megan you may actually want to pay attention now because I am explaining a project that is worth half of your mark. As I was saying you and your assigned partner are going to have to research about a person who did something to help make the world a better place.” Ms. Brooks said.

“The partners are Max Kran and Sara Neal…….” She continued on. Ugh this is going to be boring. I bet I’m going to be partners with some weird boy.

“Megan Jones and Devon Rose.”

“OK please go meet up with your partners now.” The teacher said.

“Hi I am Devon, nice to meet you.” She said.

“Nice to meet you too.” I say with my head ducked down.

“ Do you want to go work in the hall where there is less noise. We might actually get some work done then.” She asked.

“ Umm….Sure.” I said quietly.

“ Can we work in the hall?” Devon asked Ms. Brooks.

“Sure.” The teacher replied.

As we walked into the hall Devon said “ I heard about you and Stacey, I'm sorry.”

“ I heard about you, Isabelle and Kate. That food fight sounded crazy luckily I was in the bathroom at the time” I said

“Yeah and ever since that day in detention I have been a goody two shoes, I’m kind of sick of it.” Devon said.

“Yeah I’m always a goody two shoes, I’m sick of it.” I said.

“Want to do something CRAZY, to show people we are not goody two shoes?” She asked.

“YES! What did you have in mind?” I asked.

“We should pull the fire alarm, what do you think?” She asked me.

“Umm...Let’s do it! I said.

“Ok let's do it on the count of three. One, Two, Three.” We both pulled the fire alarm and then….RING RING RING RING.
It was actually fun. But we didn’t realize that the principal was right behind us as we pulled the fire alarm!

“My office NOW.” Shouted Mr. Johnson, the principal.

“I cannot believe you two, how can you be so irresponsible” He shouted.

The conversation went like this for an hour. We both got detention for 2 weeks and were grounded for a month. But on the bright side me and Devon are friends! And once we both aren’t grounded we are definitely going to hang out!! I am no longer friendless Megan!!!

We last left off when Mason started to run away from home.

Before Mason was starting to run he dropped everything outside and didn't leave. He went inside and turned on the television.

KNOCK KNOCK!!!!!!!

“who is it?“ Its Jack your very handsome intelligent and amusing brother.
Then you must be at the wrong door,sorry. My brother is REALLY annoying obnoxious and mean.
Open up!!!! jack says.FINE!! Why are you in such a rush anyway? There is a new episode of the 100. No, you have been not letting me have a turn. Jack shoves Mason off the couch! When mason was on the ground he thought to himself:Well I guess I should run away because no one is treating me nicely. Mason puts on his coat and starts to run away. Where are you going? Mason did not respond. Its at least 7:45 when his family is having dinner, but his family is calling the police to find where he is. His parents have listed all the favorite places. the mall, the arcade his karate classes and many more. By the time the police stared looking, Mason was already in downtown Toronto !!! Finally the police have found Mason and he is safe home.He went right into bed and hoped that it would never happen again.

It has been fun making our character and telling their story. Last week my character got into a food fight and Devon ended up in detention. This week I decided that I going to use Rayna’s character (Megan Jones).

“Another day of school,” I said to myself while I was falling out of bed. It was monday and there was a new group of popular girls (Kate, Isabelle, Stacey and some other girls). I checked my instagram feed and saw that this girl that got transferred into my class I think named Megan was following me. I only knew that Megan and Stacey were not friends anymore.

Then my mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs “Devon you're going to be late.”

I then looked at my alarm clock. 7:55 am it said. I almost screamed the bus comes at 8:00 am. I got up and started to pick out what I was going to wear. I had 1 sock on and 1 shoe on, I then got my other shoe and my backpack and raced for the bus. I saw Rose on the bus and took a seat next to her (Rose is my best friend).

“Hey did that girl Megan follow you on instagram?“ asked Rose.

“Yeah she did,“ I said.

She was going to speak again but the bus pulled up to the school. We said goodbye to each other and went to our class. The day went by fast and we were finally in homeroom. I started to daydream but then started to pay attention because Ms.Brooks started to explain a project. I got put with Megan, at first she was really shy but then she had this idea of pulling the fire alarm. Ding Ding Ding went the alarm. We then realized that the principal was standing right behind us.

“Uh No,“ whined magan.

“Wow that sucked,“ I said.

I lost track of time! By the end of our talk with the principal I made a new friend and I had earned myself detention!

“Ohh No,“ I said to myself that night!

“So what ur a teacher?’’ Aaron exclaimed “ Well Aaron, I am here to teach you and your buddied classes about staying fit. I am sure you all know me as Mr. Nice Looking Teacher? Am I lying? Well i am good looking!” Heck yes you are good looking, Autumn thought to herself. He is a bit FULL OF HIMSELF, but you get used to it after a while. “ Well hello Mr.Cutesopolis” Said Lexi. “ Did i say that out loud Autumn?” Said Lexi “ Well I heard you… LOUD AND CLEAR Lexie, but I don't think the cutesopolis heard ya!” Autumn said sarcastically “We were sitting in the front row! Of course he had heard me!” Lexi blushed when she said this, but she instantly stopped when she saw that Mr. K had l👀ked her down in the eyes! I felt bad for “ making fun of her” “I feel like never coming to school AGAIN!!! Listen Lexie, we all have those days. Like remember when I had a crush on your brother Morgan?” I said in a hushed tone. “YES!!!” They all screamed and then sushed themselves at the same time. “ WOW we were weird guys!” We all scattered and I was in history with them, then math, then Social studies, then french, then FINALLY Art . The bell rang and they all went home. We all pitched in by taking turns talking about how dreamy Josh is.

The past few homework was very awesome and cool! We go to really show how our character would act when she/he was in an argument and just explain more about them! For this week's chapter I will be writing about how Sydney's character(aka Bryn Natalia) and Alison Gray want to become Rebels!

Ok,so yesterday I kinda regret everything I said to my parents! I guess I just didn't really think through about what the other person I was talking to might feel! Anyways today was a New day! Time to start fresh again! I went downstairs to the living room to collect my bag. I got my binder and put it in since our teacher always explains how “important” it is to keep everything organized and in one pile! I decided just to ignore my parents for the rest of the morning! I wasn't ready to say sorry! I put my bag on my back and headed to go to the bus quickly before my mom started to talk to me! Once we finally arrived at school I was surprised a lot of people actually remembered my name. My schedule was sooo confusing! What in the world does mitl mean??!

“Oh that means meet in the library! I have the same schedule as you!” Replied a person from behind me

“Oh thanks! Have a seen you before”?

“Probably not I am not very popular. Anyways my name is Bryn Natalia. And hour Alison gray? Right?” Asked Bryn Natalia

“Anyways we should probably start going to the library we don't have much till first period starts!” She explained.

I like making my character it was fun but hard work. So here it is my short story.

It was a Thursday morning so Easton Pure Umbrella so yes initial is E,P,U. He was going to a new school and we was existed because the whole day was math and he loves math. Then when the teacher was calling at the names in initial from and said "E,P,U" everybody lafed at him he told the teacher if we could go the the washroom.

{This is a very crazy story, it may not be in real live but pleas enjoin}

It is summer break Jay and his family are having a vacation in China. This is the third day in China, they don't know where to go, so Jay is finding some place to go for today and tomorrow on the magzing. I read it out load:" it is a old town that have a crazy legend about it and the legend is....."
It didn't say but I want to go there, I tell my parent about it my dad said: " OK Jay, lets go."
We hop on the car my mom is the driver, it is very close to our hotel so it didn't took as so long.

We got there and I saw a stone that has the legend on it, the legend is: long tome ago there is a monster in this town, every day people have to give the monster a chicken and a sheep, people begin to have less and less animals to give to the monster so the monster will make a forest fire or a earthquake! One day a fairy come to see what's going on, the fairy saw the monster and use her magical bag and lock the monster under a mountain. After that every one lived happily forever.
" It was a cool story!" my mom said.
" Yep, lets go see something else." I said. We walked around util my mom saw a store where sell Jewelries she said she want to by some neck less.
"Can I go see something else by my self?" I asked.
My mom said: " Yes just don't go to far,OK?"
"OK!!" I said
I looked around I saw something wield: there is a big door next to the jewelries shop where says: do not come in - Museum. I wonder why people are not aloud enter the museum? I really want to know why, so I push the door,it is not locked! It was dark inside I try to find the switch but I accidentally push the button beside the switch.
I heard a loud noise than I saw a bright light coming to me it was to bright I can't see anything every sound was gone, I feel scared I turn back the door disappeared too and I feel I was falling and than I fell asleep!

My story starts off with my character starting his first year of university (Or at least he thinks). He is always the smarter one in the group so hes a bit nervous if he finds out that no one wants to hang out with him. So my story starts like this...

One morning I woke up. I don't like to exaggerate or anything but, wait never mind I do it all the time. But the point is it was early. Really early. Like I slept through a whole day until 1:13am early. I was energetic, hungry and dizzy. I went downstairs and poured myself a bowl of cereal. It had so much sugar in it that I wasn't able to stay quite for another minute kind of sugar. So I tip-toed slowly upstairs and all of the sudden I hear "Pickle." I look at my mouth and it was moving fast and I wasn't even saying anything. I closed my mouth and felt dizzy again. I fell down and couldn't get up.
It was 6 know. I went down onto my computer.
"Jeez, the Internets down."
It's okay. Don't panic. I think my neighbors just forgot to pay the bill. How irresponsible. I went down to the kitchen and started stress eating, just remembering that I had my first day of university. I was to scared to go. I went to get ready for university. I couldn't go. Its just like when I was 5. I was supposed to go to kindergarten but I didn't. Just went to Grade 1 and said that I was gifted. They kicked me out. I went to the library later and said that I would do my work online. After a few hours of hard work I get and e-mail. From "D'a Bad Boy'z"
"Quite the name huh?" I think to myself
I open it.
"Hello fellow classmate who does not like to attend school in person. We would like you to come to our party tonight at 7. Everybody from the university is going to be their, so it's kinda a big deal. You know how Trumps gone for the weekend and he has a big house, right. Be their by 7."
Wow. Speechless.
I quickly star typing up a speech.
Later on at 7...
I arrive and stand in front of the door. It was so loud that you couldn't hear a thing. I politely knock. I knock again. I knock again. Again. Again. I think you guys get that I'm mad now. I kick the door.
"OW!"
All the noise stops.
*Step* *Step* *Step* *Creak*
Someone appeared in front of the door and stares at me. I grab the sheet of paper and read it over. Every one in the house is silent and staring at me with confusion. I remember my plan. If their is more than 10 people than my name is George clooney.
"Hello, I'm George. I like sparkles and things that are shiny. My favorite color is pink. I have an extra tooth that I will get removed next week. I have double jointed-"
"Want some stuff?" Said the on at the door.
He held some prescription drugs out in his hand.
Think George- I meant Gordon. Think about grade 6. That's it! B.R.A.V.O.! I'll us the star decision making model.
"Are you good bro?" Someone shouted at the back of the crowd
"Ya man, your kinda daydreaming or something like that." yelled another on
Their knot the smartest,
"Star decision making model. S- state the situation. You are offer-"
He interrupted me.
"Dude that things for like 5 year olds." said one of them
"Ya, that thing's for 6 year olds." yelled another one
Wow, their great listeners to. I waled in. All of the sudden I see Donald Trump at the back. I walk slowly towards him,
"Aren't you supposed to be on a business trip?"
"Aren't you supposed to redo kindergarten?" Said trump
Wow, he really does know everything. I run back up to the guy offering me drugs. I look at the bottle. "Rainbow Salt" Another label sated "Make your 5 year old look cool in front of other parents."
"Yeah, I'm the 5 year old."
I dumped some in my mouth and started to get exited. My vision got blurry and everything was rainbow tinted. Trump went onto a big stage,
Trump- "Everybody I have an announcement. It's pretty important."
???- " What is it?"
Trump- "I'm rich and your not. HaHa!"
Suddenly I see everyone slap each other and grow unicorn heads. I get really confused...
"Gordon"
"Gordon"
I hear a voice. It's a teacher. I'm all alone. In a big classroom.
Teacher- "You slept through class."
My eyes close...
"Gordon"
"Gordon"
"Gordon"
I shoot straight up. I look around. I'm in my room.
"Mom?"
Mom- "I was trying to wake you up for the last hour. Your late."
Oh No. This can't be happening. I get in the car and drive to the school. I notice as my body shrinks...
"Oh yeah, I'm only starting grade 7."
I arrive at school and notice one thing. I CAN'T DRIVE YET!!!! The cops come and take me away to jail. They start asking me questions. Than I hear "Gordon" "Gordon." Just kidding. I'm in jail.

The Story starts when Donovan wants to move away from snowy Globsonville to sunny Hairball city.

"I wan't to move to Hairball city" said Donovan out of the blue on the Sunday morning when they were sitting at the table drinking their coffee.

"Why what's with Globsonville I have lived in Globsonville for my whole life" said John

"WOW, you have lived here since the 1800's" said Donovan

"No, I was born in the 90's" said John

"Dad, be honest" said Donovan

"Fine the 80's, but we are here to talk about you so why don't you want to live in Globsonville any more?" said John not really believing that he wants to move.

"Okay, you want to know to know why I want to move" said Donovan

" Yes" said John

" It's because it is too snowy" Donovan said

"Donovan be honest" said John wanting to know the truth although he thinks he already knows it

"FINE, it's because they banned pony's" said Donovan embarrassed

"but they only banned them as pets and we don't have a pony" said John

I have had a lot of fun making is these characters so far and it is really interesting for me to see where people take their story's to and it is also really interesting for me to see what people make their characters like. It is also really fun for me to make my own character and make my own story. So just remember my characters name is Damien Alexandrian and his flaw is that he is always late.

I wake up today and I feel extra exhausted than I usually do , well I guess that is my fault because I guess I shouldn't of stayed up all night watching TV.
You could blame it on me for staying up all night but the show that I am watching right now is sooooo addicting it is called "the adventures of Mr piggles"I know that might sound a little kiddy but that show is actually a drama show.
Okay back to today I walk wobbly down the stairs with both of my legs still asleep and the feel like they are a sack of potatoes they feel so heavy.
Once I get downstairs I walk into the kitchen and turn on the lights but I really wish didn't do that because when I did I reacted like a vampire to the sun.
So once my eyes adjust to the blinding lights I open the cupboards and grab my favorite cereal " lucky charms" but the only reason I like that cereal is only because of the marshmallows so it takes about 10 minutes to get my bowl of cereal ready and I get my spoon and scarf it down like a hungry hippo.
Once I eat my breakfast I run upstairs when I see the time it is already 8:00 and my school starts and 8:25 so I run upstairs brush my teeth put on my clothes and my backpack and run out the door. Now it might seem like I am very very late but for me this is a accomplishment because usually I am 30 minutes late but today I will only be 10 so yay, I guess.
I run into the class and push open the door but at the time my class was taking a test that is worth 90 % of our mark so everybody looses focus and starts to laugh and that my teacher for math Mrs white starts to yell at me " Mr Alexandrian THIS IS THE 5TH TIME IN A ROW YOU ARE TARDY NOW SIT DOWN!" I mean I can understand why you are yelling at me but do you really have to say tardy? cant you just say late like everybody else does.
So I take my seat right next to my best friend Luis Burk and he whispers in my ear " nice job late" he calls me late because you know I am always late.
So next period we have french and that is with Mlle Labush and she is a nice teacher so french really is one of my favorite subjects so I had a good time in that class.
hen it mas recess and recess is probably my best subject in school.
So I did what I usually did at recess I at my snack and then just played basketball with Luis.
The next period was Gym I like gym and all but it is just on Mondays I absolutely HATE IT because on Mondays we either dance or gymnastics and I always end up with a sprained ankle or something like that.
Sure enough after gym class today where we were doing gymnastics I sprained my wrist doing a somersault.
Our next period was music I like music and I play the drums because like hitting things.
We are learning we will rock you and it is pretty fun.
But in the middle of class our teacher said that we need to do a test today on notes.
So I went to go sharpen my pencil because it was dull and I went to rest my hand on the wall but I didn't realize that , where I put my hand was where the fire alarm is so when I rested my hand on the wall and I accidentally pulled the fire alarm.
"ring" ring" ring" just hearing the alarm go off I knew I was in so much trouble So I walk outside onto the field were all the classes stay until the is clear and just waiting there I felt like I was going to faint because I now they are going to find out because in my school their are security cameras everywhere.
Once the school is clear all the classes go back to their class and I was right because as soon as I sit down in my seat I hear my an announcement " Damien Alexandrian please come down to the office immediately" I get our of chair I and I can hear people whispering to each other but I don't care because all I can think about is that when I tell them that it was an accident they will not believe me.
When I get to the office my mom is already standing their looking very angry and walking very hard with big hard steps.
