Around this time of year, me and my family celebrate Christmas. I like Chirstmas because I get to see all of my extended family. My cousins, my aunts and uncles, my grandparents and everyone else. My favourite part of this celebration is the food. We do a potluck every year, and the food is delicious. Mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and much more. But the best part is the dessert, and I'll tell you why.

My family holiday tradition that I will tell you about is celebrated on New Year's Eve. Every New Year's Eve I go to my cousins house . We always eat together at their house. We eat appetizers like crackers, mozzarella prosciutto rolls, stuffed jalapenos and vegetables and then we have dessert. For dessert we have fruit, chocolate and carrot cake.

For me, we live in a Jamaican-Chinese-Canadian family. So we celebrate some Chinese holidays too. Such as Chinese new year. On Chinese new year, it is celebrated in February. And we meat up in our cousins house to celebrate. we usually get red envelopes filled with Money. The most we get in there is usually 5 bucks. But we usually get chocolate too, which is pretty awesome. It is also an awesome holiday because of the time of year we celebrate it. Which is in February and there is still snow on the ground. It feels like a nice time of year, surrounded by my family, and a tiny dog who wont eat.

On December 25th, My family and I celebrate a holiday called Christmas. I love this holiday because I get to see my whole family and celebrate Christmas with them. Every year, we go to my aunts house and open up gifts and eat food with them. First we open up presents. Every year my grandma and grandpa get a big stocking of presents for us. She wraps all of the stuff and put it into one bag so, what my and my cousins do is that we feel for something hard in the bag and that means is a toy or book. Most of it is just clothes though. We also draw for names and whatever name we get, we have to buy for that person. I'm lucky because My mom and dad just buy the gifts for them and I just make the cards. There is always a lot of food out before dinner and by the time it is dinner I am not even hungry anymore. I play with all my cousins and we have a really fun time. I love this holiday, not just because the gifts, because I get to spend time with all my family. This is a tradition my family and I do every year. Happy holidays, to everyone no matter what you are celebrating.

Me and my family celebrate Chinese New Year, I loved this holiday because we get to do a lot of fun stuff. On Chinese New Year we eat dumplings, my mom usually make them, we also get money, and at night we usually watch this show. The show is my favorite part because there's a lot of fun stuff in it and it's very long so sometimes we get to stay at the evening. In China the streets are also decorated with lanterns and lights. When I was in China we also get a week off school, which was pretty awesome.

I love to celebrate holidays.BUT! since I'am muslim I celebrate eid .For those that don't know what Eid is Eid is a holiday where lots of people around the whole world that are muslim come to a place in specific areas . It's like christmas but we do it twice. Anyways our god we believe in gives us a chance to do a sacrifice on a goat ,sheep and sometimes even a cow . We do this because our main food we eat is goat . I also love this holiday because it one it comes around my brothers birthday and we get to lots of prayers so it really hypes me up for eid we also do ramadon which is when it ends at July 6th and for this one we fast around from 29-30 days and we only eat in the morning and then only eat at night . Do you know that almost everyone has an angel on your tree or star. Well in my family we have a cow angel and today I'm going to tell you how it started. Before I was born my Mom and Dad were in Toronto and they had a really small Christmas tree and needed the star to put on top. My mom had a cow finger puppet so my dad grabbed it. He then cut out some wings and he stapled them to the cow. My mom put it on the top of the Christmas tree. Then they decided that from now on it would be their Star/angel on the tree. So now every Christmas me and my sister take turns to put the cow angel on the tree and that is my holiday Tradition.

on September 12, 2016 me and my family gathered up to celebrate eid. as you know, i do not celebrate Christmas, so we celebrate eid. on eid, we wake up early, dress in our traditional clothes, and head to the mosque. after our eid prayers, we then visit friends, family and have a feast. its really fun, since i get to spend times with my friends, have fun, and most importantly, just be happy!

Every Christmas me and my brother always open our stalking's together. It is something that we have done every single year since I could walk and talk! (We started when I was 2 and my brother was 6)

My favorite celebration has always been Christmas. Not just because you get presents and gifts from all of your family members, but because of the spirit and how happy everyone seems when Christmas is near. On Christmas eve me and my family would invite friends and family and have wonderful food with a movie playing in the back ground. After dinner I would always read out loud to my family the book called, Twas the night before Christmas. Then I would play video games and then sleep to find the tree and stocking full of presants that is why I love Christmas

In my religion we believe in the other religions so we can celebrate lots of celebrations. One of my religion's celebrations is called 'Ayyamiha'. It is a time for charity and gift giving. At this time we try to help people in need and to share food and fun with friends and family. This comes before our new year which I also like. During this time we celebrate with family and go the friends in our community's homes and show our respect.

Every Christmas my family gathers together with snacks and things and watch a movie. Any Christmas or winter movie like home alone or Elf. Also for Christmas my family gets gifts. And then go somewhere to donate those gifts to charity. So people that are not as lucky as we are get Christmas presents.

My favorite holiday is Christmas because you can get great gifts and also give out great gifts. It is also really great because you get time with your family because they don't have to go to work like they usually do.

Personally I like giving out gifts more than receiving gifts, this is because I like to see the them be happier. Every Christmas we watch a different movie, this is because if I watch the same movie every year I would get bored probably. Anyway every Christmas I wake up early (around 6:30) and go downstairs. I open some small presents and then wait for my family to come downstairs so I can open my big presents. I think Christmas is such a nice way to spend time with your family naturally. After we open the presents I go back upstairs to sleep for a while. I the go downstairs to eat dinner and after we go and watch whatever movie. I go downstairs to play some video games and after a while I go upstairs and sleep. I think sleeping is really important. I then wait for a couple of days and watch the New Year's countdown with my family. I love Christmas.

Since only my sister, my mom and my father live in Canada, we cannot invite the rest of our family for any holiday. For the past few years, we have been spending Christmas with our friends (Yushan, Zoe, Jack, and Jennifer.) Either they would come to our house or we would go to one of their's. When we got together, we would first exchange gifts and everything. We would open them, say thanks and everything. Then, we (the children,) would talk about, school, share some news, talk about funny things (usually my sister, Yushan, Jack and I would talk about that stuff. Zoe and Jennifer would talk about their stuff.) We would play around next. We might have a pillow fight or something. Pillow fights are fun. When you get someone, you feel a surge of triumph. If someone hits you, you would go and get them back. We would laugh until our stomachs hurt. At one point, our parents would call us to eat. The food is always nice and we would talk about random things. After we did that, we would go get our electronics (mostly all i Pads) and we would play, and play and laugh and compete with each other. When it is time to go, we would say our good byes and be exhausted. Christmas is always loads of fun. But, the best part is that we get to spend time with our friends (we don't usually meet them because they live in Scarborough, Toronto.)

my favourite holiday is chrismas we wake up and we go downstairs. Then we open our stalkings 1st like pretty mmuch atleast 89% of the world.then we go onto the presents last year was one awsome chrismas for me. Brcause i got such as black ops 3,star wars battlefront and destiny.but i also then stick around with my familly for a good 10-15 mins than i go downstairs to my basment and chill out there.were last year i waited for my games to install then when i'm calledd up to start getting ready for guest to arrive. I wait for atleast 30 mins.then the first people arrives.then we sit down.the parents talk to each other while the kiids watch a movie or something.then the people who havent given us present give us presents then we give them presentds in return. But someday a family member cant arrive. Cause there on a trip or something.but we always do my house on chrismas day. But we do our grandpa and grammas or uncle and aunts house (we swich between them each year). But my moms always like be respectful for what we get and me and my brother always are nice about it espically if itsa video games. CAUSE I LOVE VIDEO GAMES!!!!!.so this year i just cant wait to see what i get.but the meaning of chrismas is for the presents its to spend time with your family.which is a really good oppurtunitty to do so.because me and my brother are always at school. My moms &dad are always at work.so thats why i like crhismas.also i feel gratfeul for what a wonderful year 2016 has been and i know 2017 will be even better
Merry chrismas to all

Every January me and my family will celebrate a holiday called Chinese New Year. I will receive red envelopes money from my parents to share the blessing. At the reunion dinner on New Year's Eve, we will eat dumplings, whoever eat a dumpling that has coin in it which means they will be very lucky in the next year, we also watch the Chinese TV show at night. In China, at 12 p.m. on the New Year’s Eve, we will go out and ignite the lightfire. It’s an excited and amazing activity.

We all celebrate different types of holidays and I respect that. Me and my family celebrate Christmas, and new year, - Not the Chinese New Year. There's nothing interesting about these two holidays but at least I spend plenty time with my family. However, on Christmas, I get presents which is cash. And later on, I would perhaps spend on something. This was the retell and there's nothing interesting I can say about these two holidays. I can write the full version of this retell if you want. It's not the best retell but I hope you enjoyed it.

At this time of the year me and my family celebrates Christmas. for Christmas my family decorates our Christmas trees(plural). we often watch Christmas movies and TV shows. Sometimes we go on walks around the house or drive around neighborhoods to see Christmas lights. I help my mom decorate a bit of the house. My grandparent's, uncles, Aunts and cousins come over to my house for a Christmas dinner. Here are my top 4 favorite moments of Christmas, #1, my family and I go to a Christmas play almost every year and we look at Christmas windows. #2, When my extended family comes over for lunch/dinner. #3 Christmas Eve, I love Christmas Eve! I love putting out Milk, Cookies, Celery and carrots on a plate for Santa and his reindeer. I love looking at the tree before bed and I love "trying" to go to sleep. #4 Christmas Day!, Christmas day is the best of the year and I love waking up and finding walnuts around the house and waking up my brother if I wake up first, I love running down stairs to the presents and the stalking's and opening our presents together.

At this time of year my family celebrates Christmas. We always have a fresh turkey and how do you get that turkey hunting. Every year my grand-pa and my dad go for a few weeks hunting deer or turkey (depends on what time of year it is). It looks really fun You can practice aiming with old cans. Even though it is very hard to shot something they always come home with something. I have herd some stories about rattle snakes in the lodge but those are just stories. Next year I can come I am very exited I could see a deer! Comments are closed.
