We had a conversation this week about respect and how it’s the most important rule that we follow in our classroom. I want you to take some time to think about what does respect look like in the different places in your life. When you’re with your friends outside, it’s different than when you’re in a classroom or when you’re at home. It’s sometimes really hard to figure out what is expected in all the different places we exist.
For your blog post this week, I want you to think about the two months we have left together, this is it, it’s only seven weeks and then our lives will head in different directions. Can you write down what three things you will do, in class, on a regular basis that will continue to make this class and this year an incredible one? What can I expect from each of you to make our final months amazing, filled with learning, and respectful? What are you going to do to make a difference in a positive way?
Think about it and write a paragraph telling us what we will see from you!

It's really sad that this year is coming to an end. I had a great year but there are a few habits that I forgot to focus on quitting.

Number One: Reading in class
I love to read and I'm sure that all of you have noticed that but sometimes when I'm bored I take out a book and start reading. I don't know why, but it happens so I'm going to keep my books in the cubbies at the back.

Number Two: Drawing in class.
This a new thing that I've started. So I'm just going to keep my sketchbook at the back as well.

Number Three: Getting too excited.
When we do math (number talks mostly), sometimes not all of them or anything just a few...or half...or most of the time...or all of the time. But I have been getting better! Like better than I was at the beginning of the year. Also a book club. But I've also gotten better so now Jordan's the loudest. Yes.

This year was a really great year that was full of happiness and joy but I wish we didn't just have a fun time all the time. Wait what did you just say Cady? I wish we earned all if the fun stuff we do instead of just getting what we Want all of the time. that's not fair for Mr.Steltman and the rest of our class. So I think we need to make the rest of this year awesome by showing how awesome we are so we can end this year saying WOW That was awesome! I will do this bye not getting distracted by all of the things around me. I will try and find a quiet spot to work and make good choices

So I hope our year will end with some how a smile on its face and we will be proud if what we have achieved!

I think this year was my best year yet ( obviously because of my teacher ). I will try to do:

I will participate as much as possible and not get in trouble and be a bad child. I will also keep trying and not give up when doing hard questions like last weeks traffic jam question and the homework math question. I will also help ther when they need help so that Mr.Steltman. isn't being asked for help so much. I will make sure me and my friends don't talk to each other when Mr. Steltman is talking to respect him. I will not be so chatty when working because it makes noise and other people can't focus and mess up. You will see a change in my behaviuor and my actions.

I am really sad that this school year is coming to an end. I had a lot of fun with Mr. Steltman and I wish I could have him for grade six. But… that’s unlikely to happen. Here are some things that I will do to make the rest of this school year an awesome one!

I will not be calling out when the teacher asks a question. I will raise my hand and wait till it is my turn to go. I got to be patient and not just call out the answer. Second, I will not give up on anything that we do. I will try, try, and try again until I succeed. Lastly, I will be paying close attention to the teacher when he explains things. I will not fidget with anything, will not have side conversations, but always pay close attention to the teacher. To show respect to my classmates I will not raise my voice at them if they do something that I don’t think is right. Instead I will keep calm and collaborate with them.

Those are the things that I will do until the school year ends!

This year was the best! It couldn’t be the same if I hadn’t had my awesome teacher Mr.Steltman! I’m so sad that the year is coming to end. These are three things that I I’ll do to respect the class for the rest of the year:

1. Side Conversations
In class if I get to excited about a project or an activity we are doing I tend to have side conversations with my table group. I will try to quit this habit of talking to others so I can focus on all of Mr.Steltman’s instructions.

2.Doodling In Class
In Class when I haven’t finished an Art project and then we start a new one I really like I draw, colour whatever in class. I will try to stop doing this by taking the unfinished art home and finishing it there.

3.Talking in the Line
Whenever we have to leave to an assembly, I start conversations well this doesn’t happen all the time I still do it. So when we are walking in a line I will try to be as quiet as possible.

Once again I’m sad that this year is ending but let’s make it the best end of the year EVER!

i'm sad that our year is coming to an end and that I will be leaving such a great class. to finish of the year with a nice friendly touch here's what i'm going to do

1. not argue with my vex group this year I don't know why but normally every year i get an A+ but this year all of the people including me fight and not co-operate and that makes it not fun so I will be kind, have fun, and NO arguments!

2. shouting out I used to always raise my hand in class but it has just become a bad habit for me so in class I will always try my hardest when it comes to raising my hand.

3. growth mindset. Math has never been my favorite subject and I need need need to work on my growth mindset more because when ever i don't get something i give up so i'm going to try to think and be positive and incouaging

that is what i'm going to work on and I hope i become a better student!

1 I will try to not distract myself because normally I do so that's number one
2 I will do my best in vex and try to code amazing things including course A and B in vex, also I will try to code my best on scrach
3 Math is a subject that I like but I think I need to do more than I am like doing Both math questions in morning math and raise my hand up more in our number talk that we do.

That is all the things that I will do to improve me and le classroom.

The three things I will do to make this year awesome and the classroom more respectful are:

1. Don't talk back and just go with the flow
2. Not get distracted by my classmates
3. Try harder in subjects that may not make me very happy

I think I could she respect by raising my hand and not calling out so that when Mr. Steltman is talking I do not shout out to annoy him

The next thing I will do is I will try not to fight and argue with people because I feel like I have been doing that lately.

Some things that I can do to be more respectful in my classroom and home are:

1. Do not interrupt when others are speaking

2. Be kind and respectful to others

3 Raise my hand if i have a question

4 Always use please and THANK YOU

5 Use my indoor voice in side and out door voice out side

6 Do not be mean or hurt other peoples feelings

7 Respect our teacher and peers

8 Be thankful and great full to our computers we use every day

9 Clean up after my self if i make a messss

10 Do you homework and jobs on the chart

11 NO TALKING BACK

I am having a great year and I am sad it is coming to an end but I will be respectful by:
1. I will be a great friend and being nice to others and help people if in need.
2. I will participate in all activities that we do in all subjects.
3. I will have a growth mindset in all subjects and not just quit or give up.

Thanks to Mr. Steltman and everyone in our class for making this year the best year yet.

This year is amazing and I hope that continues through out the rest of the year.I will be respectful to teachers and classmates and what I'll do is:
1.I will not talk to classmates unless I have to
2.also I will try to work hard so I can figure out what the answer is, maybe
3.stay clean so I don't loose any of my work sheets or if Mr.steltman gives us any work sheets
4.also I will try to turn all my due assignments on time

This year has been one of my favourite year so far and I will keep on respecting everyone by:
1. do all of the work that I get on time so I don't have to worry if it's not complete.
2. follow all the rules and not being silly in class and not being a bad boy
3. I will try my hardest in every subject's that we do until the last day of school

This year has gone by so quick. It was the wrong year to go by quick, leaning new things and having such an amazing teacher shouldn't end. And since the end is near lets give it not a 100%, not 101%, lets give it 110%, and no there is no such thing as 200% so don't even try thinking about it.
Being nice:
I know this sound so un-original but we do need to be nice, and I am in no way saying that we are not being nice it's the fact that we shoud complement people work, saying they idea good job, etc.
Don't worry, be happy.
What I really mean is just be happy. Being happy is the key to EVERYTHING, and who knew I would be so inspirational this post? Anyways just always be happy. Just remember lots of people have it a lot worse than you. So remember...
If you're sad be happy,
If angry be happy,
If you're mad and yes it's the same this as angry just be happy,
and if you happy be more happy!
Last but not least, Why don't we give Mr.Steltman some peace ☮
Their more than students in here you know theirs Mr.Steltman... well he was once a student, back to the point! Mr. Steltman takes his time to do what he does for us, it's a lot harder being him then you think it is. During class when we are being loud recognize that we should calm down and let him teach.

I love being in class 5-1, and I am sad that this year is coming to an end. I am going make it my best last weeks and set some respect goals. Here are my goals:

I am going to finish my work in a positive way because sometimes I get frustrated when i haven't solved a problem quickly, however, that ends today!

I am going to try and quiet down when the teacher is talking and when we do our work instead of talking, because I always like to talk when I am bored.

I am also going to stay on topic and focused when explaining something because sometimes I lose focus and I start daydreaming off and then I don't know what to do.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, I AM GOING TO TRY MY BEST AT EVERYTHING!
