Practicing Descriptive Writing

Congratulations on being (almost) done your second week of school! From my perspective, it has been truly amazing to start to get to know each one of you! I hope that your first two weeks have been engaging, exciting and that you’re starting to see that how you think about your learning, your work, and your ideas are so important!
With that in mind, can you write a DESCRIPTIVE paragraph that describes a positive experience that you’ve had these first few weeks of school. Remember, when being descriptive try to use all of your senses to make the experience feel real for the reader.
I will happily start:
The room was humming as I looked around. The students were scattered about the room, some focussed intently on their screens, others pointing out tips and hints to their peers. Students were asking each other for help, learning from each other, and pushing themselves forward. The collaboration was inspiring; an amazing group of students, polite and kind, wanting to learn, wanting to share, being the best they can be. This was truly a positive learning space and it made me feel so proud, so happy, and so lucky to be a part of this new community!

The second Mr.Steltman explanend Prodigy Everyone was the most exited I've ever seen them.Later in the class everyone was chatting with exitment!

SLAM! I closed our locker door and rushed down the stairs to the music room. When I entered, Mr. Hoover was explaining about what we would be doing over the course of the year. When he was finished, Mr. Hoover handed out folders, labels, and a blank page for our title page. I felt the roughness of the folder as I opened it up to look inside. Everyone was chatting with excitement to each other as they started their title page. Ciaran, who was sitting next to me, took out a black Sharpie pen and started outlining his treble clef that he had drawn. Everyone around him including me smelt the strong smell of the Sharpie. The whole class was buzzing with excitement. I couldn't wait for thee next class and all the other classes of the year.

I walked in the classroom nerviness like going skydiving i saw some friends and in my head i said eff i have friends in my class i sat down in my set and did not say a word. then when break came i started talking to my friends and the most wonderful teacher in the WORLD Mr. Steltman!!!!!

As I closed my locker with a strong slam I rushed down the hall, my feet moving like a treadmill I was relived I had made it on time when I walked into the classroom there was a good vibe. Mrs. Grinvalds greeted us with a smile surprised we were going to take care of her class for the year. She had told the class with confidence who we were then she wrote our names on the board with excitment for everyone to see. She had left the room waving us goodbye as she walked out. Adithi, Ciaran and I had remebered all the things we had used last year. All the kids opened their lunches with excitment to eat. They were young looking at us with a questonable atitude. We walked around the classroom stricly telling kids to follow the rules. The clocked ticked, kids bored waiting for the bell to ring we told them to line up in a straight line and to be quiet with not saying a sound. The bell rang and all the kids ready to run out the door. We had let them out of the classroom. I felt the coolness of the hallway touching my face as the kids stomped on the ground. Rushed to my locker tied my shoes with excitment and went down the stairs with a lot of other people. Afterward I felt proud of being in charge taking care of smaller ones and being responsible.

i walk into the classroom with a huge smile on my face ..we did the math and it had my name on it ..then we did our writing,,, oh i almost forgot saying its emoji writhing...yay!! then a bigger smile forms ...mr.steltman showed us the emojis we were writhing about and my head started buzzing with all these ideas!! So I wrote down my ideas on paper!

So I got on the bus I went to school and I open my locker I put my bag away then I walked in my classroom and we had morning math smile on everyone's face we have a awesome team in the class

sorry if this is long, I have a habit

Second day of school it all started ,putting my bag filled with locker decorations in my locker, and rushing to get my water bottle and agenda out of my backpack before the halls filled up . It was nice but scary to have Mrs rollo in the background instead of listening to peoples voices on full volume . Then rushing to class before I was the last one !

I quickly rushed upstairs with my friend. As I walked to my classroom I started to worry if i wouldn't fit in, or if Mr. Steltman didn't like me, or if i would get embarrassed. I was now starting to tremble. As I walked into the class Mr. Steltman greeted us all and I sat down with my friends. Then I realized, it was going to be an AMAZING year with Mr. Steltman (a.k.a the best teacher EVER) and all of my friends and tech. I smiled and had decided to have fun the rest of the year and not worry. =)

Sorry if this is a bit long, I'm not very good at summarizing:)

The first day of school, I woke up in my bed excited for the first day of grade. I got all ready for school rushed eager to see all my classmates and Mr. Steltman. When I was all ready me and my sister stepped outside and my Mum took out her phone, went on camera and took a picture of us. The flash was beaming on my face and I think I might have gone blind for a second. Me, My sister and my Mum ran to the school and we saw who was in our class and I was so overjoyed to see everyone there. I saw Mr. Steltman and I grabbed my Mum and pulled her over to him. I was so excited to meet him for the first time. Me and my Mum said hello and Mr. Steltman seemed excited to meet all of us. The bell rang and it seemed so defining but I was too up beat to notice. I hugged my Mum goodbye and we all raced into the school and up to our class and that is how it went.

I loved the whole week so much it was so hard to decide, but the thing that I loved the most was when we had an hour and forty five mins with the sweet vibes of music and coding. usely two things so fantastic doesn't go good together but boy was I wrong. And the fact that we can sit with are friends is amazing. when I saw that you can use a monkey with the coding is ,well awesome! Also concitering I still had the taste of my carrots in my mouth I felt pretty good.

p.s.I do not like carrots

I walked in the classroom very nervous as if I was going skydiving. I could almost feel the nerves going through my body. I saw some friends and in my head I said eff, I felt so relieved that I have friends in my class! I sat down in my seat and did not say a word. When break came, I started talking to my friends and the most wonderful teacher in the WORLD Mr. Steltman!!!!!

On Friday, I was having so much fun I was learning from my peers and seeing there amazing awesome creations. The room sounded like one thousand bees around a bee hive. I felt so alive listening to my motivational music, the room felt so happy as well!! We were working on Scratch, it is a programming website and is alot of fun. we are able to create what ever theme we picked, for example I picked the music theme, so I was able to make a cool dancing girl. That is my AMAZING righting peace!!!!

When I finally got up the noisy, crammed stairs I already thought it was going to be a great year because everybody in our class was here last year and also because I was so overjoyed to see some of my best friends. When our teacher Mr. Steltman introduced himself and said we were going to be using a lot of technology, I was so excited because we had 1 chrome book per person but the first time we used them the internet and wifi wasn't great. So that's how grade 5 started ;)

It was the first day of school I was SOO exited but nerves to.There was so many new kids it was cramped.After when I finally got to the class room I reilised that so many of my frinds where there.I was very happy.Then I met Mr.Steltman he was so nice and I was so exited to start the new year for school.

Ding!!!!! As the school bell rang I ran towards the ling we all rushed in the room i notice that claire was in my class I was so happy to have someone I know in my class.We all sat down and Mr.Steltmen the BEST TEACHER EVER told us to choose some won to share a locker with because there wasen't many so we won't have are own.I am so exited to start a new year of learning OMG

RING!RING!!!! The school bell rang and all the kids stared to line up to get to there classes. Parents were taking pictures of there kids on there first day. Me Ava and Mika were in line and were so anxious to see what our teacher would be like. And there; walking throw the school doors and having the biggest smile on his face and then it hit me......... I just knew and thought to my self " this is it the teacher I have always wanted.......and now this very day I had been right all along.

I walked into the room and i went to one table to a next until I found the perfect spot in the back corner with all girls.when mr.steltman started interduceing one game to a next, we all new it was going to be a great year.when the bell rang we ran to our lockers and you could hear all the foot steps banging on the ground like a heard of galiping mustangs. Being back at tuck with my friends, the sound of chatter made me know the this year was going to be a good year.

Ding!Ding!Ding!The bell rang as everyone went into their classes. I was very nervous. I went into to room 218 and saw my teacher Mr.Steltman. He seemed very nice. I sat down right beside my friend.
Mr.Steltman told us that we would be doing a lot of stuff with tech which really exited me. When I got my first homework it made me very exited because there were a lot of fun things in it. When the first week was over it felt like I had already learned a lot. When it was the second week I had also became a way better collaborator. His class was also very fun too. He also taught me about so many other things like growth mindset and mindfulness. The first few weeks of school was so fun and I learned so much.I think the rest of the year will be even better.

On the first day of school I rushed upstairs and into my new classroom
I couldn't wait to see who was in my class and who my teacher was.
Mr. Steltman told us to take whatever seat we wanted and i was really happy to sit next to Ciaran. During the first week I learned that our class will get to go to the movies to see Wonder and i gasped with excitement. When the first week of school was over I felt happy to be back and looking forward to the rest of the school year.

As I walked to my line at the school blacktop I was shaking because it was the first day of school and I was wondering who I will have in my class. Then I saw Alex Y and Owen approaching our line at the school blacktop too. I was so happy to find out that they are in my class this year. We exchanged “hellos”. When the bell rang we walked to our class. When we got to our classroom we took a seat at a random table. Then the teacher came in. He had a smile on his face when he saw pupils. He told us about how he was really happy that he got us for this year. Mr. Steltman said to us that we’re going to use electronics for almost everything (I love electronics!). The teacher also let us know that we’re going to have robotics this year. I am looking forward to a great year!

As I glanced at the people in my class line I realized I had the kindest people in my grade and I thought Mr.Steltman has the best kids to teach when I leaped in the class I knew Mr.Steltman was going to be a AMAZING! teacher (and i was right). for a few short seconds I didn't know where to sit then I sat a table with my friends I was so exited I wanted to shout it out but I happily contained myself the rest of the marvelous day was fantastic and I knew the year would be spectacular and so far it is!

Right when I got to school on the first day I was feeling excited to start the year. It was loud with kids yelling and talking to friends that they didn’t see all summer. When Mr. Steltman came outside I was nervous to meet my new teacher. We all went inside and I felt better seeing old friends in my class. The work that we do in class is fun and challenging. When we built the tower with cups kids were laughing while cups came tumbling down. Listening to Mars Patel is the first podcast that I’ve listened to. It is so cool to listen to podcasts while we do our work. Other than the sound of the podcast, the class is so quiet, you can hear a pin drop. I am having a great start to grade 5, this year is going to be EPIC!!!
