Our very first post of 2018! I almost can’t believe it, the year is flying by. I hope that your break was restful and pleasant and that you had a great chance to spend time with your families. As I look ahead to the coming year, I’m invigorated and excited about the prospects. A new year is a great time to set some goals, to push yourself further, and to complete some of the things you’ve always wanted to do. As I look at the quote, “Tomorrow is the first day of a 365 page book, make it a good one”, I think about how I want to be successful and what I want to do to make this year amazing. Our 2018 book may only be 352 pages long (as it’s the 11th of January) but what are you going to write in your book this year? For your blog post this week, write the first few paragraphs of your 2018 books, introduce what your 2018 book will contain, what are you going to attempt, what will you focus on, and what do you want to accomplish? What are you going to do to make 2017 your best year?

Hello reader. In this book, you will read about things that I want to do or focus on. Also what I will do to make this year better than the others. So keep reading...

I am going to attempt to make more friends and be more open to friendship instead of sticking to the old friends. I will do that by talking to others instead of reading a book at break if I am done early.

I will focus on keeping my desk clean and keeping the papers neat. I will do that by using folders and organizers and actually putting away the papers instead of throwing it in my desk.

I want to accomplish keeping my locker clean for a whole month without it getting dirty or messy with junk. I will keep my gloves in my bag and my boots outside the door to keep my locker clean.

I will make the earth more green and a more friendly place to be in to make 2018 the best year. I will also put my whole mind into school studies and my homework to keep my teacher happy. Those are some examples of the things I will be talking about in my books.

Welcome to an introduction to 2018...in book form. 2017 was awesome but the thing I wonder is how to make it better. This year everyone will get a year older, more mature and hopefully even more awesome!
I think of 2017 like this...everyone raise your hand as high as you can...go on do it, I'm watching you. Okay good, everyone's raised there hand up as high as they can...now raise it higher. You may have thought that you had raised your hand as high as possible but then you realized you go a little way more. That's how I think about 2017. We all think 2017 way amazing and that there was nothing that we could do to make it better but we just need to look around and think about it.
I want to focus on my writing. I have so many ideas and I feel like I just rush them onto one page. I want to add detail to my writing to make it as interesting as possible. After all I can't become a teacher when I'm telling kids to write as detailed as possible and they're like "Um Ms. Parameswaran then why is your writing not detailed?" No sir, I am not answering to that.
What I want to accomplish is publishing my book! By, maybe the end of Febuary.
When we look at 2017 we think it's incredible and that's true, it was. But we need to work to make 2018 awesome together. Let's start by helping out in our community. One thing we could do as a class is planting trees or flowers to help our planet ( I'm talking to you Mr. Steltman!)
Let's think about the ways that we can make our planet and 2018 even better.

A new year. A year to relax and make goals
My first goal is to step out into other groups and to become a better team by getting to know the class better and to collaborate more.

My second goal is to chose harder morning math questions to challenge my math

My third and final goal for 2018 is to try and make others around me smile because that makes me smile which makes everyone laugh which is AWESOME!!!!

Hello wonderful reader, welcome to another new year (2018) the past year was a fantaboulous year. But since it’s a new year that means new goals and being a better you. I wonder what can make 2018 an even more special year. So today that’s what I’m talking about.

T his year I want to get everyone to respect and be friendly to people even if they are different than you. I want to do this because last year the Donald Trump thing Just was wrong. And everyone should be treated equally, they all have an equality right after all.

Next up (this sounds so cheesy) being a better you. Last year I know you were great, but what if you could be better? I will give some examples of how I can be a better person. 1. Giving it my all even when something is a challenge. 2. Being in a good mood at all times. 3. Spending more time with the people I care about.

I have some more personal goals that I would like to share with you. Number one Reading at least 5 books a month, number two
Putting myself first, first of all this sounds a bit selfish but to help others you don’t want to be exhausted. I want this time to take care of myself and maybe even learning something new from this experience.

And last taking care of nature and also taking advantage that we have beautiful things around us. I plan doing this by hiking or taking a walk in the forest/parks. Also grow some plants in my garden and taking care of them.
This year I challenge you to Try to make Earth an even better place to live!

Hello reader and welcome to 2018! I remember 2017. I got Mr. Steltman for my teacher for grade 5, got in trouble a lot at home, and played video games. Life is like a rollercoaster. I love thrill rides. I went on quite a lot of rides in South California during my Christmas break. I also celebrated New Year in Disneyland, a place where adults feel like kids and kids feel happy and joyful! There is a Russian superstition: the whole year will unfold the way you celebrated it. If that’s the case, I will have the best year ever! The New Year also means new goals. So this is what l will do…

I am going to attempt to work with different people. Usually I work With Alex Y, one of my best friends, and I want to start collaborating more with other people in my class so I can attempt to acquire at least 1 more friend this year.

Also I will keep my desk clean and tidy. To keep my desk organized I will put things away every last day of a school week. In addition I want to attempt making my bed every day of 2018 which will be very difficult because I basically never do it. I will try my best to remember to make my bed by putting a sign on my door that says “MAKE YOUR BED!!” and hopefully I will read it.

I will help our environment. I will pay close attention how much water I use, I will ride my bike more in spring and summer, and put garbage in the right bins.
Hopefully I will do those things.

I will also try to have fun: hanging out with my friends, playing video games, going to movie theaters and traveling.

This year will the best year ever!!!!

First I will try to learn more than any previous year.I think that I learned a lot last year but I think that this year I can learn X10 as much as last year.One of the things that I want to learn is how to keep my desk clean.

Next I want to try to sign up for more clubs, normally i only sign up for 3-4 clubs but this year I want to try to sign up for the most things I ever have.

Finally I am going to try to be the best person I can be!

Welcome readers to my 2018 book. It's now 2018, a new year so let's make it good one. In my book you will find some of my goals and things that I want to do better this year. I hope you find this 2018 book interesting.

My first goal that I wanted to tell you about is organizing my desk. My desk is usually messy and I sometimes loose things in it and it's really annoying because I have to look for about five minutes!!! I think I can achieve this by taking the time at least once a week to clean out my desk and organize it in piles in my desk.

Something that I want to get better at is division. Most of the time in morning math you have to do at least one division question and it takes me a while. Some ways that I can become better in that is by playing prodigy more than just one hour a week. Maybe I can push myself to two hours a week. Or maybe I can just practice on paper. I can get someone to make me a division question every day and I can work with a pencil and paper to solve it.

One thing that I can work on at home is doing my chores everyday after school. After school I have to make my bed, empty out my lunch bag, and put my breakfast dishes away from the morning. Sometimes I get sidetracked and forget to do them. I think I can improve this by doing them right as I get in the door when I come home, so I don't have to worry about my chores after.

That is the first page of my book and those are some of my goals for 2018 and I hope I can achieve them.

Hey readers its 2018 and you know what that means it means a new year and were going to make it supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

My first goal for 2018 is to get my desk organized (which is basically the opposite of my desk at the moment). My desk is probably one of the messiest things I've ever seen and I really want to change that so I will probably clean it up every week or two. But im happy that the top of my desk is clean just not the inside.

My second goal is trying out for a school team in a sport like soccer or basketball because I love gym and it would be a good way to get more exercise plus I've practiced for basketball so I think il be ready when its time for the tryouts.

And my last goal is helping the environment from doing things like using less water or helping plants grow just small things like that really help another thing i could do is donate at earth rangers.

Those are my goals for the year. Have a great year everyone and lets make 2018 the best year ever!

Welcome readers of my book. This is a new year, which means new possibilities. So these are my three goals to making 2018 my best year.

First, To be a better listener in school and out of school so I can work better in school and out of school as well

Second, Participate in all of the school activities even if i don't like them I'll try my best to do it with a smile on my face (if i'm not sick or hungry)=)

Finally, I want to read more books and become a big reader (if my eyes don't bug me)

In 2018 I would like to attempt sailing because I like being out on the lake every day. I also get to spend time with my friend that I don't get to see too often.

I would like to get better at skiing during my trip to Ellicottville for the week that I have on March Break.

I want to accomplish learning AC/DC on my guitar by the end of the year.

Im so happy that it is 2018 Because it’s a whole new year that I can do so much new stuff in. For example, making more friends, pushing my self to do harder math and Focus on things I’m doing and not getting distracted.

I want make more friends because I will know more people as it will makes life more interesting and I will learn new things.

I want to push myself to do harder math because I will get smarter as I grow up and math will be involved with a lot of things I will do in life.

I want to focus better and be less distracted, it will make it easier to get things accomplished.

These are just some things I want to complete in 2018!

Hello readers. I will be talking about how I am going to improve my- self and how I am going to make 2018 the best year. I am Juliet and this is how I am going to make 2018 the best year yet.

One thing that really helps with staring a good year is a good teacher. For an example, Mr.Steltman, he is always helping me with my work and telling me how to improve on my work and telling me how to be more efficient. Something that I can also work on is being a good student and being honest, kind and having fun with my friends. I also want to stay independent with my work even if my friends think that it is worth seeing something that doesn't involve school work that is not worth seeing, I am trying my hardest to stay independent and to not get distracted.

Another thing to help with my year is to have fun, I want to make sure that I am making new friends no matter what gender and to make sure that I am enjoying my - self. I need to make 2018 ( the only 2018 ) the best year yet. and to do that, I need to do what I think is right.

As long as I am learning it does not technically matter. Otherwise, I think that I have a pretty good year so far. when I get older I want to be a teacher, and to do that I need to be educated.

This is what I need to do to have a perfect year! And to be successful in my life time!

2018 … it kind of sounds like a delux year, and we are in it? Yes I truly don’t know, I think we time traveled because starting grade 1 felt like yesterday, and starting grade 5 felt like a second ago! So I’m telling you we time travelled pretty far. So since it’s homework I know what to do but yesterday I didn’t even know my 3 times tables, or how to write happy, and we didn’t have homework! So let me start my 2018 resolutions even though it’s only 2013. First off 2017 was great but I didn’t even expirence it. No but really it was a year that I learned a lot in, and I had super fun! But boy oh boy 2018 is going to be a boat ride very quick though, because tomorrow I’m probably going to be in grade 8. This year I want to strive to be my best, I also really want to get better at writing, story’s though. Not to brag but my parents say I have a hidden talent for it. Hehe. And I want to be more chill about things and have fun with it! I take life like the apocalypse, yes I know it doesn’t make sense. New topic, no I’m can’t say this is going to be the best year, but I’ll say I will make the best I CAN. Now you can’t have a real New Years resolution without a funny one, first I am going to meet a llama, I already have, but it was behind cages so it doesn’t really count. Now this isn’t a funny one but for my birthday I want to go to Chicago, NYC, with my mom, and she's very familiar with those places because she travels there for work, ok I have a last one that I really hate, I just want to let Mr.Steltman know that I’m a human being too! So Those are my New Years resaloutions, this is kind of old but happy new year! Oh... and see you in grade 8!

In 2018 I will attempt planning a big fishing trip with friends and family by renting a boat and going away to a far away place that has good fishing.

I will focus on taking more time out of my busy schedule to read.

I will accomplish winning the OMHA's (my hockey team's championship) by working hard and never giving up.

Hello Readers and welcome to 2018

Sometimes I feel very nervous and shy about trying new things. In 2018 I want to try very hard to be more open minded about doing new things.

I want to work on listening in class when I'm at school.If I can do that it will be easier to participate and to understand the work I have to do.

I want to get better at some of my school subjects like language and French. I'm going to also try a lot harder to get my homework done every week and on time.

This year I realy think that it will be great. I think that one thing that made me a good student last year was a very good teacher MR.STELTMAN! He is the best and I hope he will keep on teaching the way he dose.
In my 2018 book you are going to see alot of great things so lets start it off with awesome intro im going to attempt being a even better self I shall set some goals and try to do them.
To make 2018 the best year yet I would like to work as hard as I can and do my best! Something that I would like to work on is always turning in my homework so that I DON'T MAKE MR.STELTMAN'S HEART SAD! Also I will try to read more often and I will try to do both of the morning math questions. I will also try to do some big ideas out of school. that is all that I will spoil for you in my 2018 book you'll have to read the next chapter to find out more!

- I will try not to get off task during class and also I will try to make it to school or class on time

Welcome to my intro of my 2018 book.
2018 will be a fresh new start for me and by doing that i will set goals for myself and here are some of my goals for this year:
1. I will try to be a better person and by that i mean try to work harder and be kinder. i will achieve my goal by pushing myself harder and harder and hopefully i will get it achieved.

2. My second goal for 2018 is to get my homework done earlier and doing all the tasks. I will achieve this goal by trying to stay focused and limit my time and hand it in earlier

3 I will try to share my ideas more with my group, and answer more questions out loud.

In 2018 I will try to set new goals and ask my teachers more questions. I will read more books as I usually never read books. I'll go down to the library and find myself a ton of new books. I will stop procrastinating so much and do my homework early. I will do the hard parts first and do the easier parts last. I'll make my blog post 10 times better and actually do my 51familymath with a family member. I'll summarize things better and just take my time on things.
