   It’s JUNE! Can you believe it? When we read these blog posts there will only be three weeks left of school. This year has gone by so quickly! It seems like only yesterday that we were starting on this grade six journey and oh my goodness, you have grown so much: physically, emotionally, academically! Let’s use this week to look back, to have a look through all the great things we’ve done and documented as a class, and talk about how that event helped this year be a great one!
   So, to describe, your blog post this week involves a few parts. The first thing is to write a paragraph that describes how you felt your year was. Did you enjoy yourself, did you learn things about yourself, did you grow as a person and as a student? Talk about your best memories, the good things, the goals you set, and the things you achieved. The second part of the task is quite fun. Click on this link to see all the pictures that we took on twitter this year. Go through from the beginning (Sept 9, 2016 was the first day of school), and choose one picture. Copy the link to that picture, put it in your post, and then talk about why that one event was special to you.
   This is such a great way to showcase your learning, your growth, and your year. I’m so excited to read your posts and to see the photos you’ve chosen! Mine is the one seen above. It took months of hard work, resilience, and patience but we got the vex robot to make it to the recycle bin. Just another reason why I #lovemyhaltonschool!

1. I enjoyed myself way to much lol I made new friends and learned a lot about different math problems and of course coding!! I learned so much about coding.

1. This year was a big one for me, especially since I moved from Saudi Arabia to Canada. I switched schools and had made new friends. I was happy that I could meet new people and I was going back to my hometown. As a student, I have grown a lot in mathematics and writing. One of my best memories was when I went to Youth University because it was the first time I ever went on high ropes, the feeling of being in the air was the best.

This Pic is my favourite because it was my first day of school and I had won the challenge to get the exact volume of the shape. I had lots of fun making clay shapes and testing their exact volume.

This year is a big year for me because I figure out play chess is a great thing, it help me to win my brother in chess, and play chess also improve my relationship with my friend.I can win my brother because after Brain bring he chess, everyday I play/watch chess game. That make me improve my chess skill, then play game with your classmate can also improve my relation ship with my friend. So play chess in a wonderful thing, let's play chess together!!!

I want to be as honest with myself. I haven't done as well as I wanted this year. I wish I could of improved more on everything we did this year. But I need to accept that. There is no part of this year I would change, it all made me better, even if by a little bit. I learned to stop comparing myself to others, and rather compare myself to, well, myself! I have learned more about myself than any other year. I felt more accepted in this class then ever before. I have met some amazing people that I don't think I will ever forget. I have had a great year! My favorite picture from this year is the same as Andrew. This was an amazing field trip and as cringe as we all look in this, it was a great day!

This year went pretty good I think. There could have been some areas I could have worked on as a person and a student. I think as a person I should work on the fact people don't have the same dedication toward something as I do. And as a student I think letting the teacher have the final say in every action or decision that I make. But academically I think I was much better at this than the other two. I understood what was being taught and if I didn't I tried to get more info so that I did. The time that we are in class to learn I grew academically but when we weren't in there to learn it was so much fun! I found out stuff about my self that I wouldn't have known if that time didn't exist. I learned to look at my self and my actions and see what I could improve to help the people around me. If I didn't do this I think I would be I pretty sucky person by now or at least a person with out a lot of friends. Over all I think I have learned a lot.

This is a picture showcasing the hands on part of learning. I have been told by teachers again and again that the lessons that I am going to remember are taught by my fellow peers. Well this pic shows peers working together and finding ways to work around obstacles. You can see planer sheets and wires and batteries every where. Experiments going on and people learning through there mistakes. It all means that the students in this classroom are learning and learning a lot. That is why I like these pictures.

This year, like other years, is about to come to an end. I've had so much fun this year and I learned a lot. I think this is the best school year I've had so far. I could have done better, but it's still okay. In the two years I have had Mr. Steltman, I've had a blast! We have done so much fun things this year, and I don't think any other year will be better than this one, or even reach it. I myself will try and work harder and help my peers on projects more.

My favourite part of this year was iThink research. This was such a fun experience, and it will remain as my favourite field trip ever. We got to code, and learned about JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. I hope i can visit them again.

P.S. I feel bad for Qasim and Andrew. :(

1. I enjoyed myself this year. I enjoyed it because I made new friends I never really thought I would be friends with but hey they excepted me for being me. Some things some people never did. This class made me feel like I belonged again with my bullying issues in the past I thought I would never find people who cared who I was as a person, I felt excepted for a long time in my life. This is one of my favorite chapters in life and I could never forget it.

This has been my favorite year so far in all of the time I have been at school, reason being. We went outside many times, we read class novels, we had robotics in out class room, we went to a place were people make hospital equipment and code it, we had coding every Friday for 100 minuets. I have felt I improved on not talking out.

This year was probably my favorite year, academically and personally. I have learnt new strategies to succeed in different subjects. I have made some new great friends and acquaintances. The year has been full of great memories so just picking one is very hard. Though the memory I have chosen is the Hackathon in Toronto . I picked this because coding is one of my favorite things to do and a whole day of coding was amazing. Also being with people that code as their job was amazing. This year I didn't set any goals but I feel I achieved many things. One of those achievements are always speaking up in a groups.

I enjoyed the high rope and all the challenges that it brings. I love how when you just go up on the high ropes/rock climbing and have an adrenalin rush that courses through your body. Some people faced challenges while climbing such as being scared of heights or getting stuck somewhere from fear or just being stuck in general (or if you're "lucky" like me you lose your shoe). At the end everyone was proud of themselves for trying. That is why this field trip was the most special.

This year has been a great year, in this year there have been some exciting moments, id say the best moment I had while this year has gone by was when we did hot air balloons I liked hot air balloons the most because our group did the best and had the best scores, there were also some groups who did really well too, If I had a picture (there was no link for me) it would look something like a hot air balloon 2 million feet high in the sky, also picked this moment because it was the first thought I thought of, but then realizing there are better moments but its to late to restart, that's why I thought the hot air balloon was the best moment in this year.

This year has been a really fun year for me, we have so many fun projects, and I just had a really great time in this class. I have learned a lot from this year and even more about coding, I had a very fun time coding and building the robot. I really liked when we went to Brock university, and I had a really fun time on the high ropes. I have made some new friends, and I have really enjoyed spending time working with them. Overall this years has been so great and I have learned so much.

Grade 6 has been an exciting year for me, I made some new friends and learned a lot of new things.
I'm much better at a lot of things like writing(at the start of the year it looked like grade 1 material) and art...things?..... YEAH.

This year has been the best of my life. It has taught how amazing school can really be, and values and making of what a good friendship really looks like. I've had so much fun learning new things, and discovering more about myself. I'd be lying if I said I didn't make mistakes, or didn't do things I regret, but all of those things have helped me to grow stronger, and have a bit more knowledge of the world than I did before. This year I learned how much I love coding and robotics. Ike has been such a big part of my year, and I will miss working on him sincerely. This year, I also discovered my ability to write, and have really enjoyed doing that. I've had so much fun, and so many great experiences with so many great, surprisingly weird people. This is a year that will stay in my heart forever.

1. This year was great. I got to do a lot of things I haven't really done before like coding. I got to make new friends in this class. I really liked the projects that we did in this class. This year was awesome.

My grade 6 year was amazing I got to test lots of different types of robots. I tried really hard to do everything, and I found I could do anything if I put my mind to it. My mind exploded with all the fun things. We did we also had challenging math problems but Stelman said tough questions = maximum brain growth!
I am proud of this tweet because I put a lot of effort into this family math questions for a hour I did it with my mom and then I came back to it I used guess and check and I had Mr. Steltman’s voice in my head remember never give up persevere keep on trying do it so I tried and tried and then I got it finally I was proud of me I told Mr.Steltman and then Nathan got the same answer it was amazing

This year has been a great year for me even though it felt like the1st day of school was like last month.The things that I'am proud of was when we started building Robots and our group had to Callaborate to together in order to making that Robot. I have been happy during the school year because I have been making great friends throughout the school year and I have been very happy with all of our stuff we had done thanks to our AWESOME!!! teacher MR.STELTMAN.Some of the other reasons why I'am sohappy with grade 6 is because we had challenges and the math we had donewas acully very hard but over the year we had learned alot so it had became very easy for us and guess what it payed off very well.I had also been proud because of how I had improved over the year and it felt so fast.

1.ive changed alot over the year becomeing even smarter than i was at the start i also have gonme a long way.working through challenges sometimes struggling sometimes completeing it easily.oh and man can i say say this years gone by.it feels like school only started a week ago

2.i couldnt find the link to the picture but it was think research because that was a very cool day because i got to code and create a game and also because i learned the background of technolgy from where it started all the way to now

This year has been wonderful I've learned a lot of new things. We got to go to several cool places like Brock University, coding at think research (etc). I made a lot of new friends that are awesome people and I enjoy being around. Through out the year we had some really cool projects my favorite had to be building stoplights out of cardboard boxes it was really fun and challenging. This year has been great I think I became a better individual I became kinder and became more helpful I learned so much as well as having gallons of fun. Couldn't find pictures.

My grade 6 year was amazing because I get to achieve my goals. Last year, I didn't meet the standards, which is one of the best part of grade 6. We've get to do lot's of fun activities, like stock market and coding. I've made lot's of progress throughout this year, and I want to thank all of you for being part of 6-2!

This year my favorite moment was when we did EQAO because we got to skip a lot of periods. I don't think there is a picture, but if there was it would be my favorite. I liked how the whole class is extremely quiet and we all talked about it afterwards

My school year is coming to an end, in fact in the next few weeks, I have my last few lessons, clear out my locker one last time, and say my goodbyes to classmates and teachers.

This year was a really great year. Back in my old school, when I lived in Kitchener, I didn't know what Scratch was and I didn't know how to code at all. This year was probably the best year I ever had in any school.

this year is the best year that i had in Canada and i made new friends and i had learned so much thing i really like this school year but i dont want it ti end.i really like coding the first time i started to code i was like that is so cool that you could make your one game when you are in grade 6 it is a very very fun thing to do. i want to thank this class for helping me the whole year.
