I am so amazed at what an incredible first few days we have had together! While the building looks the same as it always had, school itself is very different and I want to commend each and everyone of you for your incredible transition to our new reality. I have missed being in the classroom, missed being with a class teaching and while there are new regulations in place that are forcing creativity upon us all, I am grateful for the challenge. For your first blog post this year, I challenge you to find a lyric or song that allows you to describe how you felt your first week learning in school went. This can be funny, serious, happy, sad; anything you want but no cursing. For your post you are to post the lyric, the song title, the artist, and a paragraph describing why this quote connects to your first week at school.
As an example:
I have chosen The Grateful Dead, Scarlet Begonias and they lyric is "Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right." For me this quote describes our current situation at school as I believe I've been able to find new ways to be creative with lesson planning, finding ways to engage you, as students, and to do all of this it's taken a new perspective. If I look at this situation as a way to push myself further, become a better, more engaging teacher, then this becomes a positive place to find ourselves and so, I think this quote is very fitting for our current learning style.

I chose a quote "We don't know where we are going but we do know where we belong". I chose this quote because I don't know what is going to happen this year but I do know that I belong at Tuck. There will always be a place for me here either in your classroom in the cozy library or from the comfort of my couch if school closes again. I know that I will still belong and have a place in your classroom no matter what.

I am so happy i got to be in this class. Because I have made some new friends,and mr.steltman is really fun and. makes my Least favourite subjects in to one of my favourite subjects. I also think all my classmates are really nice. also funny and fun to hang out with when it's break time. I am really excited for the rest of the year.!!!!!!!! and the song line I picked was the best song ever because I have the best year ever! (the song is from one Direction)

I chose the quote "The days are long, but the years are short". I chose this quote because I'm just getting back to school and the days feel longer but actually they are 5 minutes shorter. I think they feel long because we have been out of school for 6 months and it is a new and different routine to get used to.

My first week of grade 6 with Mr.Steltman was awesome and so much fun!!! That was how I felt so to find a quote or lyric was hard to describe how I felt there but I did find a lyric to say how I felt "Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth" that is from the movie The Despicable Me song Happy written by Pharrell Williams. The lyric to me was happiness was the truth and I was super happy this week and it is the truth.

The quote I chose was "Not all humans are bad" From the book The One and Only Ivan. I chose this quote because, in my eyes it could also be saying "Not all school is boring/bad" especially this year with Mr. Steltmen, he makes everything we do fun! Yes, some work may be boring, but your making your brain grow!

I have chosen Queen - Don't Stop Me Now.The lyric that I thought was Don't Stop Me Now because I thought it kind of meant like I don't want to leave school and I didn't want to give up if I are stuck on something and keep trying and I think just listening to it just make it feel so inspiring. And that why I pick that song to say how my week was.

The lyric I chose is from the song I`m Still Standing by Elton John `You know I`m still standing better than I ever did, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid`. I chose this lyric because on line school was hard and not seeing my friends was also hard. I was excited but nervous to start school this year because school can be difficult, but I wanted to see my friends. I am happy to have a good teacher. I feel like a little kid all the time, because I am a little kid.

the quote I chose to to describe my great first week back in school is from returns by NF."I'm in panic but yet relived". I chose this line because at first when I heard that I was going to school I was a little like how is this going to work but then during the week I realized that there were good protocols So we could kind of go back to normal schooling.

This lyric makes me think of my first week at school because before school started I was at home with my mom and my family for six months having fun and being relaxed, but now I am back at school and I am feeling a bit stressed out. It is fun being back at school but also it is stressful because I have forgotten some math.

This song is in the Greatest Showman movie, but the song is called The Other Side. I picked this song because I thought of it like I want to get to the other side instead of staying home. So it was like school was the other side and I was so happy to come to school.

The lyric I chose was “starting right now I’ll be strong” from Fight Song by Rachel Platten. I chose this lyric because I feel like it is basically telling me to be confident in whatever I do because it’s saying to be strong. I chose the lyric from this song because I feel like it has many good sayings in it! This lyric shows to me how I should feel at school and everywhere else I go.
