This week, we took the important opportunity we had to remember the sacrifices made by all the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces and the contributions they made to our freedom and the lives we live today. We learned about the many challenges and the massive loss of life in both the First and Second World War. Our key learning was the these people who served were doing it for someone other than themselves, they were giving for the greater good. I think that this example in turn should lead us into doing the same. This week, I want you to find someone, something, or some way that you can do something for someone else. Bring kindness, joy, or positivity into the world, just because you can. For your blog post, I would like you to describe what you did that was kind, and how that kindness made you feel. Looking forward to reading your posts!

The thing I did to show my kindness this week was when I helped my friend do parkour because he thought it was scary. We were at a park and he was nervous to go high up as he thought he would fall. I encouraged him to keep on doing it and helped him to get over his fear. He was excited when he was done doing it. It made me feel happy to help my friend do parkour.

I did something nice for my sister. I wrote her a letter and drew her a nice picture. She got in trouble and I tried to cheer her up. It made me feel happy to give her something nice and to try and make her feel better.

On Sunday I was at swimming lessons and when I was going in to the pool I held the door open for 2 other people. They thanked me as they walked through, it made me feel like I was being recognized.

Helping my classmates is how I show kindness. I like to help people stack their chairs and sweep the floor. I make sure to include people who don't have anyone to play with in our games. I also let people use my toys and fidgets.Being kind to others makes me feel happy.

Sharing/giving is a way to be kind. I gave cards to like 5 people Gwen, Finlay, Theo, Jamoy, Emmanuel. I learned that sharing lets more people enjoy it and is more fun.
