What does equality mean to you? How can we change society’s views on accepting “differences” (race, gender, and sexual orientation)?
After watching the video of Martin Luther King’s Speech “I have a dream”, write a blog post about our next steps we can take to create a world where everyone is treated with equality?

I believe that no matter what race, gender or differences everybody should be treated equally. But the world is not perfect, and for that reason we need to take small steps,so

Have you ever felt someone making fun of you because of your race, gender or something else? Have you ever felt that you want to go somewhere so no one can make fun of you? No one should ever feel that kind of pain, and that is when equality comes in! The human rights are for everyone! Don’t discriminate others because they are different. Just remember that everyone is special in their own WAY!!!!! Even if you don’t like someone that isn’t the same race, gender or anything else as you, ALWAYS treat them with respect and polite.

Equality is everybody treated other people equally. So not judge people on they're skin colour but who they are as a person. First if you think you might say something mean don't say anything at all because you could hurt that persons feelings. Next imagine how the person feels about that so always treat others the way you want to be treated. Those are my steps. Thanks for listening.

Have you ever been treated differently just because of your race, gender or background? Have you ever been in the situation where you can't go somewhere because of your race or because your scared you are gonna be made fun of? Everybody in the world should have the same rights as everybody else and that's when equality is important. Equality is needed everywhere and equality is needed!

After watching the inspiring video of what Martin Luther King's Dream for the future was, it made me think of the future where everyone is treated equally and not individually despite their tone of skin, their race, their gender. I know this will happen in the future but for now we will work towards this goal. Anyways…

Many people in the world are being treated differently because of the gender, skin colour or different beliefs. I think that is truly unfair because everyone is equal.

I think treating someone differently or abusing someone because the color of his/her skin is very racist and unfair.

Equality means that every single person in the world is the same. They are not higher or lower than you.And you are not better or worse then them.We are to be treated equal. And not be treated different.

Equality is one of the most important things in life and it should be available for everybody. Equality is respecting others, weather their skin color, race, language, gender, height or length etc is different. No matter who or what you are, we all still have the same importance of being here on earth. Everybody has a part in life and if you don't let half of the world take there part than you might as well not take your part either. Quite a while ago, someone named Martin Luther King Jr took his part of being here and made a big change. He made sure that you know that everybody is the exact same. He changed the whole entire world. Right now, about 90% of the people that didn't gt to take there part are out there in the world doing something that they where just dreaming of before Martin Luther King Jr. Most of the world doesn't discriminate the people that are different from them, but sadly their are still people that do. We are still trying to find ways to change the world, and about only half will actually work. Let's say there was a man in your neighborhood that didn't know English, didn't understand Canada as a country, and was from another place in the world. Would you make him feel bad? probably not. Right? About 5 decades ago you wouldn't know any better and would make him feel bad. If you think that you wouldn't then you are wrong. Back in the sixties little kids where surrounded by so many bad people, that they didn't know any better. If you time traveled you probably wouldn't find things like in movies but it would be a lot different. If you know any people who don't always do the right thing and treat other people the same, than it is not always their fault. They could've had bad parents, who had bad parents, and this could go on for a very long time. People who are influenced to do the wrong thing, could've actually turned out to be great people, but sadly aren't.

Equality is a simple word – it means equal rights and equal treatment for all no matter your skin colour, gender, race or handicap. In my mind, we are all the same and everybody has the right to be treated with respect

Equality is really important to the society now because it was once and is still sort of a problem I want to change that now is better than never. I we can only wish that tomorrow when wake up it is going to be a better place for everyone. Martin Luther King once said "I have a dream that my 4 little children will not be judged by the color of their skin"

The video of Martin was really cool. It was neat to see what people were doing to make our world better. Equality to me is really important and I think it is so unfair that some people get treated badly because of there dislikes, gender, religion etc. I know that everyone is different in their own ways but it's not fair to treat them bad. I think that we should try to stop it as soon as possible. So a couple ways to get started are...

Equality is something the whole world is struggling with! People just judge others by there skin colour, religion, size, capabilities etc. Equality to me means accepting everyone no matter who they are or what they do because everyone is amazing in there own way!

I just want to start of this blog post by saying how great of a person Martin Luther King Jr and everybody that was listening to his speech and cheering him on is> well Martin Luther king is probably one of the bravest people that you have ever heard of and let me tell you why. Martin Luther King Jr was an activist at a time where their were lots of breakdowns what I mean by that time there where a lot of protests mainly of Black people trying to prove that we should all have the same rights no matter our race and skin tone and they fought and fought until they got their way and I think that everybody that stood up to racism is a very inspirational figure because they were risking their lives for what they think is right and that can teach everybody to keep fighting and don't but everybody in that group that was their listening to his speech and cheering him on had lots and lots of bravery because right at that moment the government could of captured them and sent them to jail and they knew that but they didn't stop fighting.

After watching Martin Luther King's speech about racism and equality and his famous lines "I have a dream that one day my four little children will live in a nation where they will not be judges by the colour of their skin but by the content of there character" it was a really nice and inspiring speech and it really got people thinking about what he has gone though so for this weeks blog post we are sup post to write what equality means to me and some ways to make a world where everybody is treated with equality.
