First Post of 2023

Our very first post of 2023! I almost can’t believe it, the year is flying by. I hope that your break was restful and pleasant and that you had a great chance to spend time with your families. As I look ahead to the coming year, I’m invigorated and excited about the prospects. A new year is a great time to set some goals, to push yourself further, and to complete some of the things you’ve always wanted to do. As I look at the quote, “Tomorrow is the first day of a 365 page book, make it a good one”, I think about how I want to be successful and what I want to do to make this year amazing. Our 2023 book may only be 351 pages long (as it’s the 12th of January) but what are you going to write in your book this year?
For your blog post this week, write the first few paragraphs of your 2023 book; introduce what your 2023 book will contain, what are you going to attempt, what will you focus on, and what do you want to accomplish? Like Mr. Thomson said, “what do you want to be known for?”
What are you going to do to make 2023 your best year yet?

My goals for 2023 are being confident
I need to work on this because I am horrible at being confident how can I be horrible well um I will give you an example say if mr steltman gives us an math. question and you answer it like you raise your hand and answer it I can not do that well yet or at least I am trying you see I think I have some sort of fear of some sorts I honestly don't know . Why I have to work on this is well um I think its generally good to be a confident person but yeah

oh and I just thought of a other goal to learn more Punjabi
Lhori has started and I think to make my grandparents happy I should learn Punjabi as my parents talk to me in Punjabi and I reply in English it just sounds so wired and when friends come over oh gosh but any way as my dad is watching me he also thinks I should learn more Punjabi like I know it but I am just afraid ill say something wrong but again be more confident !

My 2023 goals are to:
Learn more Styles of Art.
I want to learn more styles of art is because to me, I don't have very many techniques to use when I do art, and I want to make sure I can have more because if I want to do a specific look to what I am drawing, I want to know how to do it, rather then looking up how to draw that, because sometimes I won't have a COMPUTER/CHROMEBOOK to use right beside me.

Get to School Before 9:00.
I want to try to get to school before 9:00, because usually when I get to school, I arrive past 9:00, and I don't have enough time to do the morning math before Mr. Steltman takes it up. I also want to come to school before 9:00 is because I like talking to my friends when I am in the line.

Drink More Water.
I want to drink more water because I find tthat when I am thirsty, I don't actually get my water to drink from it. Sometimes when I do go to get my water for a drink, but the water tastes weird, but I don't want to ask to refill it. I also some times run out of water, And just don't go and fill it up when I need it, but rather when I don't.

My 2023 goals are As Following

1:
I want to find more podcast websites for dear time.
I want to find more podcast websites because I am getting board of the old podcasts websites. Well I have basically listened to all of the podcasts

2.
While I work I would like to listen to calming music.
While I work I would like to listen to calming music because it would help me stay focused and wont distract me from other things.

My 2023 Goals
1. To read more - l want to read more because right now l watch a lot of t.v. l do read but not a lot. I am going to achieve this goal by making a reading list of 5 books I would like to read before the end of the year. I will share this list with my parents so they can remind me to read more often.

2. To participate in more school activities - Last year, I joined cross country and also tried out of the Alice in Wonderland play. I am so excited to put on the play in May with the rest of the cast. This year I am excited to join the track and field team. I really like to run. Hopefully I can make it on the relay team. I will try to achieve this by running around the neighbourhood with my Dad. He helps me train.

3. To slow down how fast I talk - Many people have told me that I talk too fast. Usually when this happens I have to repeat myself again, which is kind of annoying. My mom and dad are always telling me to slow down. I will try to achieve this goal by breathing more and thinking about what I am going to say before I say it.

In order to have the best 2023, I will always try to stay and think positively.

My goals for 2023 are

1. To sleep more: I find that everytime I wake up I can't get up, cause every night I usually sleep at 10:00pm. I will try to sleep at 9pm or less because sleeping gives you energy, focus more, and you will have a great day.

2. To partcipate more in school: How I will achieve that goal is to raise my hand up more cause I usually get nervous and I will probably like mess up on something that I say. I will also join in events like track and field and relay. Clubs like choir, and gardening club. Also in all of the subjects I will try to atleast say or do something.

3. Trying out new sports: So the only sports I play are basketball, running, swimming, and pickleball. The sports I wanna try is tennis because its kinda like pickleball exept its harder and I want to try a harder sport. I also would like to play more badminton because my cousin plays it and whenever I go to their house I forget the rules so thats one sport that I will like to try.

These are the goals that I would like to achieve in 2023!!

My goals for 2023

1. SHY: Im shy because I always care what people think in me which could be a good thing for trying to be caring when someone is in need and it could also make you always shy I think Im a good performer but it is hard for me to do it in front of a audience even in front of my family Im shy and I want to work on that.

2. MORE SLEEP: I always wake up and are too tired to get up I think I am going to try to go to bed earlier and so I can wake up at 7:00 to do my dog every day I usually go to bed at 10:30 but Im going to try to go to bed at 9:30 so I don't be tired at school as much.

3. DO MORE SPORTS: I want to do more sports so i can get better at them, get stronger, get faster and because it is good more me.

My one main goal for 2023 is to be healthy and I have 4 ways that I can do just that.

First, is to limit my screen time so I can actually do other things than sit in front of a computer all day and not hurt my brain.

Second, is to eat more healthy food. This is important because over the holidays I have eaten some pretty bad foods that aren't healthy at all.

Third, is drink more water. I don't drink enough water in a day, so in 2023 I'm going to prioritize this and aim for 8 glasses of water every day.

Fourth, I am going to try and get more sleep. I some times go to bed at 11:00 pm, I'm going to try to be in bed by 9:30 so I don't wake up as tired.

In 2023 I want to be known for being the kindest person in my grade. I'll do this by helping other or doing acts of kindness in any possible way.

I want to accomplish working BETTER ON DOING MY HOMEWORK by taking my time and focusing on the work.

I want to try new things and go to new places I've never been to this year, like going on my first plane ride.

I'm looking forward to the year ahead!

In this year it will contain ups and downs but it will still be amazing.

I want to try to get better at a lot of sports but the 2 sports i want to get better at baseball and hockey because they are the sports that are my favourite,most fun and overall the sports i am best at but i want to try to go above and beyond

Another thing i want to be above and beyond, I want to be above and beyond at school.I want to be above and beyond not just at doing my work and being on task etc, i want to also be known at schol as a kind, helping and nice kid.

My third and last one is to see more things around what is near me.A lot of thing in life is. that they take a lot of things for granted including me but i want not take things for granted and explore as many things as i possible. i just do not want to take anthing for granted and i just want to have the best year possible.

My goals for 2023 are

1. clean my room. I know that one day I'm gonna walk in there and trip on something and BREAK MY BACK so it would be good to clear out space and just find a place for things

2. Try to get more sleep I'm usually pretty tired when I'm at school or home and am in bed late and my annoying brother always screams when I need to sleep- guess I got to tell him to be quiet some more

3. try more things. this year I was going to try out for the Cheshire cat in Alice in wonderland but I opted out in the last second. I also want to find different hobbies that aren't reading and drawing.

My goals for 2023 are...
To get better in tennis I am proud of what I have accomplish so far but I want to get a little bit better.

One more 2023 goal is to save up money to pay half of a Toronto Maple Leaf House of Drew Jersey because I love hockey and my parents have connections to help me get the rest.

My 2023 Goals are:

1.I Want to be more confident in myself because sometimes I am not confident and then I like to give up what I'm doing because I think it is too hard and I know I can do better than what I am doing right now.

2. To get another belt in jiu jitsu i´ve been there for 3 years now and i am gonna try to work harder to get another belt it is really hard because i can get hurt alot and i am kinda sick of getting hurt all the time but sometimes getting hurt means your working hard and ones i sprained my hand but it heels right before school started again but once i was going to give up but someone. told me to keep going and that's what i did and here i am right now a gray belt

3. To help my nana clean the house because she's always doing all the work around the house and she's almost 80 and i just feel bad because she is always on her feet and really like never gets to just relax cause she always busy so i'm am going to try to help clean the house and just spend as much time as i can with her.

4.To save my money and not spend it all on junk like candy because my friend kathrine is taking me to a wrestling match in march and if i want to buy things there i need lots of money so far i have 65$ dollars and i am going to do chores in the house and i am also going to scotland in August so i also need money for scotland so those are the 4 things i want to try and do this years.

My goals for this year is to do better at the morning math because i'm sometimes having trouble with math. I need to read more because usally i don't read any books. I want to try to be better at gym because i'm not good at it most of the time and i bet me getting better would be good. Last thing is to be better at math and do my best i can do in anything.

My goal for 2023 are:

1.To get better at my math because in my head i always think that is it too hard and always ask for help from other people and start to do it my self.
2.to wake up early so i don't need to be late for the bus and be there in time so i don't get late for school to.Also to sleep early to.
3.To help my mom for work at home because she gets really really tired and gets to rest very little.
4.To stop asking for help every time i get work because i do it alot of times so i want to start to do it my self and only ask a little bit for help.

Also to be more confident - I think I've gotten a bit better over the past few months but not as much as I would like to be. So I'm going to try my hardest to achieve that goal

My next goal is to not be so mean to my sister - Every older sibling in the class will know that this is hard because younger sibling are the most ANNOYING human being you will ever meet (besides maybe your annoying younger cousin-) but that's not what were talking about. So even though Evelyn is infuriating I want to try to be nicer to her

In my 2023 book I have things I want to accomplish and focus on!

What I want to focus on:

Here are the main things I want to focus on this year. First, I want to focus on being more positive about trying something new. I also want to focus on practicing after school activities more so I can get even better! Finally, I want to work on checking my messages more. After a day of not checking because I forgot, I see a mountain of texts!! Overall, these things I need to focus on this year.

Things I want to accomplish:

I want to accomplish these things! Doing chores without being asked to do it. It will show responsibility, but also it will become part of my weekly routine. Next, I want to hang up my clothing more. I usually toss it into the bin and after a few days and then it has reached all the way to the top of my closet and then that’s when I end up hanging my cloths. These are all the things I hope to accomplish or need to focus on more before the end of the year!
