Exploring Abaco Blue Holes with National Geographic

This week, we had the chance to hear what it was like to explore the Abaco Blue Holes with National Geographic and Exploring by the Seat of your Pants. This sounded like an incredible adventure and really allowed my mind to wander and wonder about all the things that could exist in the ocean that we as humans, haven’t discovered yet. This week, for your blog post, can you write a short story where you are the explorer underwater and you discover a new species of fish or creature deep in the water. Make it an adventure story with a clear conflict, climax and resolution. As a further option, you could have something difficult happen and talk about how you would work through an emergency underwater (think about the “Sanity breaths” that Dr. Kenny was talking about.

It was all darkness in front of me. Pitch black, all around. This section of the cave was narrow and I could almost feel the tunnel walls closing in on me. I am very claustrophobic. I was solo diving for the first time, and I was more than a little nervous. I remember the fear, the sharp, cold fear, plunging through my heart like a knife, twisting through my brain as I felt something drape over my back. I shrieked through the mask, swiveling my dim light to face whatever monster was behind me. It was a piece of sea kelp. I had then taken a deep, calming breath and chastised myself for being so paranoid. I turned around, sure I was ready this time, to explore the perpetual corridor of the cave. I looked the long distance down to the sea floor, which, at the time, were almost perpendicular to the smooth walls of the tunnel. The sea kelp waved in time with the current as a large, scarred shark had passed below. I shuddered and had focused my attention on the small godzilla gnome weaving it's way through the wavering kelp. I looked back up, planning to swim hard, non-stop to my destination. I was so foolish. I should have recognized change in the currents. I was cognizant of the way I should be going and how I was supposed to get there. But I was so alive with excitement and consternation that I wasn't thinking straight. Anyways, without realizing it, I had taken a wrong turn and wandered into an uncharted cave. I was exploring the crevices when I saw a stream of bubbles whip past my head in my peripheral vision. I spun around, the vent of hot water almost blasting my mask off. I righted myself and glanced around wearily. I was waiting above the daunting crevice and the untold threats it could pose. I circled around and looked frantically for the caves exit so I could flee to the relative safety of the tunnel. I made a mad dash across the sea floor, lunging for the round hole in the wall. I had nearly made it but just then a deep purple mass blocked my way. Now let me tell you, I had already been a rather skittish person, but upon seeing this large abnormality, I practically leaped right out of my skin. The monstrosity stared me down with a big, yellow, bloodcurdling eye, boring a hole right through my very soul. I floated still in the water, praying that it wouldn't notice me. Miraculously, the beast moved on. To this day, I don't know what happened, or what the monster was, but I never again dived in a group of less than 5. All my superiors agree; the uncharted area is never to be explored, lest we agitate the monster again.

i couldn't see anything. all i could see was black. pitch black. i threw myself in and in this cave there was no sense of getting out. i tried to use the string to get out but it seemed to have broken. i was stuck. by myself. darn i knew this wasn't a good idea to go by myself. i really wished i had second guessed this. suddenly i heard a bubbling sound. my tube of air was running low. now i was really in big trouble. i swam as fast as i could but then i heard a something .there was a shark in the cave? suddenly the room went back. when i woke up.. i was in a hospital bed with a bunch of other divers watching me. to this day i still have no idea how i ended up there but there was a few ideas i had.

I fixed the mask over my face and peered into the perpetual hole before me. I took the largest breath possibly ever charted and flung my arms towards the water, followed by my head, body and feet. I felt the slight tug on my abdomen created by the current so I knew I was underwater. I carefully let out the breath I didn't know I was holding with my first shaky stroke. Towards me two dim lights quickly darted towards me, the closer it got to me the more it resembled a shark. It cut through the water at an unimaginable pace, the closer it got to me the faster I went down. I quickly got to an area where turning on my light would be mandatory. I always loved that moment, one switch can reveal one of the most amazing things you might ever see. I squeezed myself through a tiny passage I almost couldn't fit through, suddenly I heard a snap and my arm lost pressure from the ball of string I was carrying. I took a few sanity breaths, but that didn't prove useful because the light on my forehead flickered out. I tried swimming out but I had lost my way. I was trapped underwater.

"745, you are in an uncharted area of the cave" mumbled a muffled voice from the radio placed by my ear. Beside me an animal that looked like a salamander with wings swam beside me, it's movements were slick and exact. I stared in amazement as thousands of salamanders with wings emerged from a rock. None of them were any bigger than a foot, but, they turned around revealing a deadly blade on their tail, with markings like a snake head. They slashed at my suit then, POP, a hole burst and water filled my suit.

Back at the lab.

"Did you seriously have to tell him it was uncharted?"
"YES!!, people have been there but they never came back!"
"Speaking of never coming back, where is he?."

As I entered the cave I couldn't see a thing. My partner approached me with a set of night vision goggles, I put them on and I could finally
see. As I looked around, at one place against the wall I saw some moving shadows. The water was cold but not to cold it was perfect. Our goal was to find something that would have enough DNA to see if their are any more of that species. We also had to discover something that we didn't now lived or thought it was extinct. As we went deeper the waters got colder. We started to see more marine life such as fish, sharks ect. As we got closer to a wall we noticed something their was a moving shadow with a long fin at the end. We went closer, it saw us whatever it was. It had a blue fin and a human body like feature. It started to chase me my partner grabbed a knife and just slit the scale. We left the cave with that scale ad went back to the lab.

"Okay great". 'Just in time! we just found a new species! Wew cant tell really what it is. But it almost looks like an undewater monkey with gills? Does that sound stupid?"
"You always sound stupid."
Kevin the soundtraker glanced at his boss. Who was across the room, ready to fire him at any second.
"So um, David. Have you got any details on what animals made this species?" Asked Kevin.
"No actually, unless we can get under water needles that wont get filled up with water before we can needle it." Sarcastically said David.
"I was expecting that." Replied Kevin.
"Could you set up the camera to show us the animal?"
"No actually, because I am not rich enough to afford an underwater camera". "But I could decribe it in big detail. it looks like a monkey, with gills and swims faster than anything in this blue hole. But Im confused to know if it is a vertebrate or invertebrate. And how it lives underwater as a mammal? it doesnt make sense. Even though it has gills. Maybe its just a sign of new evolution on the chart?"
"I dont know what it is, obviously because I wasnt there but we need more detail."
"Okay! Here is some more detail! He is a monkey with gill-"
"David?"

The cold water rushed over me as I dived into the hole. Darkness lay in front, the walls around me wasn’t just pitch black, but setting eyes on my movements. I swirled around, it wasn’t just the cave, but something enormous was watching me. My heart was pounding in my chest as I dived deeper, the cold breeze plunged into me like a knife, cutting through my muscles. I heard a movement. I froze. My throat constricted. I could hear the blood pounding through my ears, every muscle in my body screamed at me to flee, but I remained there. I can hear my heart thumping, I didn't know what to do and I could barely think over the rising tide of cold fear. I was starting to regret, I shouldn’t have come, I was hoping this was a dream, a terrifying dream, but I knew it wasn’t. With all my courage, I turned around. I didn’t shriek, I was more surprised. Tons of fishes came into my view, swimming toward me, but they aren't normal fishes. I've never seen or heard of them. I was starting to calm down, but not long I heard another movement, it was different, a shrill screech. However it was more than a movement, something was coming forward me. The fishes scattered around, and again I was alone. Tension rises over me, I spinned around and screamed under the mask. A pair of glowing red eyes was staring at me in the darkness. Panic rose like bile through my body. My legs was shaking, I couldn’t breath, as if someone was choking me, I wanted someone to save me. But no one would, no one was there. I swam as fast as I could, looking forward to the ground and the fresh air. But still pitch black. I dived faster, my body tightened as I hit something hard, a rock, giant rock. The pain in my leg burned as I kept going, praying the animal wasn’t coming for me, or whatever that creature was. And again darkness lay in front of me, as if it’s never gonna end. As the my last hope dropped, I suddenly noticed a dim of light. I dived faster to the light, almost there. I could hear the people on top yelling and chattering. I pushed myself up and felt the warm air brushed over my face. And the first thought came to my head was that I was never going to dive again.

I strapped on my mask and dove into the water with my diving team. we were supposed to look for new species and take samples of crustacean's and any coral. My dive team was a bit ahead of me because I was taking photo's for the news (and my website). we had found a new cave and thought we should explore it me and my friend Kyle were confused and cautious because we had just come down there the day before but we didn't find this cave. as we went through we saw weird markings on the walls and weird bones weed never seen before. Just after we saw the weird bones we found a new type of fish! it had the body of a barracuda and an anglers dangling light thing I took some quick pictures and started to back up because I knew what was going to happen next. Just then 7 more came out of the darkness and swam really quickly at my diving team and opened a mouth of really sharp teeth and started shredding my diving team, me and Kyle got out of their as quickly as possible and informed our boss of what had just happened and I showed my pictures. Me and Kyle never went back into that hole.

As I go farther into the vast ocean I notice things get bigger as I go farther down. As I swim I see something go past me almost at the speed of light. I turn around and see nothing abnormal behind me. So I keep swimming down, then I hear a screech in my headset and I realize I forgot my partner. As I swam higher I see her. But there is a blank white creature surrounding her. I try to scream at the creature but my voice doesn't travel through water. Then it circled around her body. As it circled Its body became pure white to jet black. My partner kept screaming as I tried to get to her to distract the creature. When it fully wrapped its body around her it bit her arm. As I stop in sadness I realized it was sucking my partners insides. As I see her deflate like a balloon the creature turns back to pure white. It looked at me and I realized its eyes were holes in its head. In side of the holes were never ending flames of hate and rage. I turned around and swam as fast as I could into the abyss so I couldn't get hurt.

As I swam for one hour the creature kept following me I swam through kelp forests and through caverns but it wouldn't stop following. As I see the a bit of light I realize I was near the bottom of the deepest bit of any ocean. But I focus on the light and I see 7 laboratories all connected. As I looked back at the creature it just sat there the fire in its head was gone. I went into the labs and there was no water inside. It was a complete lab were people would do experiments but under water! As I went to one of the labs I see allot of weird things on the ground like donuts and root beer. When I got to the lab I realized It was the main lab. It had papers and computers. At the front of the room was a smashed test tube. As I walk to the test tube I see a deflated body like my partner. On a big monitor to the left that was still running, it gave a description on what was in the test tube. As I looked at the picture it was the exact same as the creature that I saw earlier. As I read in horror about the creature I learnt that it was un-killable and it was made from a human cell.

As I kept walking around the underwater lab I kept on being amazed by all the places. The biggest lab was were what looked like the place where they kept submarines. But there in the process of being built was a submarine. As I walked out of the lab my stomach grumbled and I wondered where I could get food. So I looked around the labs for food. One of the labs was where all the people probably slept and ate. I found a perfectly good chicken and ate a bit of it. Once I was full I decided to leave and go tell my team what I found. I found were I came out of in about 13 minutes. As I stepped back into the ocean and made sure the door was firmly locked the creature had tightened itself around me. As I screamed it turned black. Then the creature bit me and I felt as if I had lost my hand. The worst thing about it was when took my insides. As I felt my body deflate I stepped through the gates and into heaven.

After I’ve done putting my equipments, I jump into the Abaco Blue Hole. Even I was a good diver, but when I was at the dark place, I could feel very tension. I swim very slowly down to the bottom of the Blue Hole, it was very dark and I couldn’t even see and hear anything then I turn on my flashlight. When the flashlight was on I could see the beautiful underwater and many animals. Suddenly, I could feel something was around me that was moving, I was very scared, then I heard “click, click,” I saw a twinkle light that is swimming towards me. “It was a Shark.” I swim back. The shark stopped front of me and staring me. I was surprised that the shark didn’t ate me. I quickly took a picture using a water camera. I was very excited that I find an animal is live in the Blue Hole. It was really an incredible adventure.

All I could see was black. Pitch black. I was nervous, very nervous. I heard a movement, I big movement. I swirled around. Once Again, all I could see was black. Ava, calm down there's nothing there. I said to myself. I swam deeper into the cave. I hear something moving, not just anything moving a big creature moving. My body shacked. I was second guessing this trip. I love to dive but, this is just to much. I wish I had someone go with me. I mumbled. I heard to movement again, this time I turned around. It had red eyes and wings. I was scared. It roared. I started swimming faster. It kept roaring. I turned around, again. This time There was nothing there. That's weird. I thought. I guess it must of swam off. When I finally thought the animal was gone, I heard a roar again, but, this time louder. This time I was really scared. I swam faster then I have ever swam before. It kept roaring it never stoped. Finally when I thought I was never going to get out, I saw a dim light. I swam to it. I went threw the light I reached the surface. I was happier then I have never been before. I pulled myself out of the hole and on to the ground. The first thought that came to my head was that I was never going to dive again.

I took a deep breath,after that I jump to the Blue Hole.Blue Hole is very dark,I must open my flashlight.You can't believe how amazing in the Blue Hole.I saw Sponge, pike, coral, angel fish, shark,wait a minute,I saw shark.If i saw shark,that mean...I need run!!!!But after I run away,I don't saw shark want to attacker me. Maybe the shark just passing,i think.

I was just tracking down Santa not to be a stalker or anything. Then I threw a rope up and
I climbed up into Santa’s sleigh and landed in the toy bag. Then I found the diving equipment that I asked for Christmas and put it on to see if it will fit . Just then I saw Buddy the elf he said “Buddy the elf what's your favorite color?” The question startled me, I was beginning to move backwards but tripped over a present. Then me and the present fell out of the sleigh together, then I opened it up quickly. It was a parachute! Just what I always wanted, it was perfect for this moment! I was looking for a place to land and I saw a huge dark blue circle, it looked like a good place . I unbuckled my parachute then jumped.

I think it was a blue hole that I learned about it at school. It was amazing what I saw, Sharks, Godzilla gnomes, shrimps and Crabs. Then I saw this thing called the Ditto it had became an invasive species and came to this place. Then I had a choice to make, do I go call for help or do I fight the ditto? I chose to fight the Ditto. Then out of nowhere a great white shark came in and killed the ditto. So there was no more ditto. Then I heard a voice saying “Wake up Wake Up.” It was Carey Price underwater with me. Wait a second why is Price here? I heard that voice again it sounded like my mom. Then my dog licked me ,and my mom asked me if I had a crazy dream again. She winked as if she knew my dream. The next night was christmas and I was excited. One day I really want to go to the blue holes and see what they actually have.

i was preparing for the dive, my go-pro camera latched securely on to my head, ready to capture every second of the adventure. i was diving to go visit the abaco blue holes, with a bunch of my friends. i was ALSO streaming it on YouTube, under the name of my channel, DuckyDew. i started the stream, fans tuning in immediately. then, after a quick introduction, i boarded the boat, and dove in! i used a special underwater mike to talk, and as we near the holes, i gasped. they were beautiful! i could see a few crystals scattered here and there, and the light made them sparkle, and glimmer. i made my way down, and started to explore. i wove through the gaps, to see many exotic fish, then cracking a joke about ;exotic butters; i then make my way deeper, and realise my air was running out. i panicked, and covered it up, saying that i thought i saw a skeleton. i then,i try to make it to the surface, my air depleting fast. i fiddle with the camera, and end the livestream. i could imagine the amount of worried comments, and nearly laughed.i then stopped myself, and took some sanity breaths, hurrying up to the surface.i break the water, ripples splashing around my body. i signal a boat, and explain my situation. i then get boated over to my friends, "oh gosh, are you ok?!" "yeah, im fine!" i say, waving them off. that was quite an experience!

It was a beautiful ocean where their were friendly fish and fish and… Fish swimming around in the clear water [sometimes clear] so cool to see everything going to tunnels I've found getting deeper and deeper and deeper into the tunnel darker tunnel, And more darker smaller areas and then see I'm running low on oxygen but I'll be fine but turning around just in case but seeing nothing but darkness ahead of me and looks like everywhere u go it gets darker, I took a different path out without knowing and then seeing light but then only a small bit of light because their was a small gap to get through tried to get through but my suit ripped And I took it off and only with small bits of oxygen left but making it out alive with my heart beating faster than ever has before and almost a heart attack but I was fine but cuts but happy I made it out and then learning from the mistakes I just did.

As me and my crew got ready for the dive of our lives. We had all of our equipment on and ready to dive into the ocean to try and find a blue hole or another amazing place hidden under the dark surface of the murky water. I jumped in with a splash and sunk under water. I looked up to see my crew jumping in after me. I heard several splashed around me. I looked to see my crew swimming toward me gesturing to go deeper under water. As we went deeper and deeper we started to see the creatures under water that had already been there. At this point me and my crew split up to find new animal species to show the world. As I broke off from the group I heard the squelch of blood like someone getting bitten in half. I looked back to see what was wrong. When I looked back I saw one large eye with blood seeping of its skin with tentacles around it and giant teeth under the eye. At that point I turned and swam as fast as I could in the other direction. After what seemed like an eternity I stopped swimming. One member of my crew was dead. I looked around me trying to see if it was safe to rest and regain my strength. As I sat down on a rock the ground shifted beneath me and opened up into a hole with jagged rock on the outside of the cave opening. I swam inside and the hole closed with a thud. Blood quickly filled the water and made me not able to see what was in front of me. I heard a thud at me feet to see glassy eyes staring up at me with a helmet slowly filling with water drowning the already dead face. I slowly sunk out of the cave. I jumped back in shock and horror as the cave started to me move. The hole opened again and let a shark as big as a house into the cave. I dropped to the floor and did not move. I investigated the shark for any sign of wounds coming across the left side of its massive body. Three slash marks along its side about 6 inches deep and 8 feet long. I heard a churning sound like a stomach. Then the back of the cave opened up and released a blue solid that sunk to the ocean floor. I swam out of the hole and swam until I collapsed with exhaustion. I heard a crackly noise in my ear with a voice in it saying "Hello, Brian are you safe" Then a scream of terror and a bone crunching sound followed by save... your........... "Hello" I said. Nothing. Then I heard water churning behind me to see a giant rock floating trough the ocean. Then a ear splitting roar sounded what seemed like right beside me. I turned in horror as the monster backed up and bit me in the chest. The world turned black before me and turned inside out and right side up shaking me lifeless before carrying my body to a cave. I looked a the monster carrying me. It had sleek purple scales and black obsidian eyes that had no sorrow for killing me. It had wings the size of a house. I had not even looked at the body. It was as long and thick as the titanic it had four legs and a long neck with strands coming of the base of its neck. Not after half an hour a shark swam across my field of vision and snapped at the dragons neck in the surprise the dragon dropped me onto a building. Wait a building. I looked below me to see Atlantis and everything in it. Then before I could explore the dragon picked me up leaving the dead shark behind and slammed me into the ground...................... "Uhhhhhhh" I groaned as I looked around me. I looked down at my legs. There was only a bloody mess of bone, flesh and gore. The dragon stalked over to me and spoke " Brian by biting you I have transferred some of my life into you. Brian you are a shape shifter"... I stared at the dragon in disbelief "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, I AM HUMAN SMART ONE." I got so angry I think burst a vein. I felt my human structure changing muscle expanding. Wings coming out of my back with my arms changing to legs covering my skin with black scales. Eyes getting destroyed to those dark endless pits. I screamed my loudest from the pain and agony. Before blacking out. My eyes flashed open. I looked at my body. It was a ugly and scaled black. The purple dragon came into the cave. I did not wait a second, I lunged and sank my teeth into its throat killing it... Or so I thought It latched its claws onto my head and twisted it making a horrible cracking sound before letting me go. I lay dying on the floor of the cave before silently getting up and sinking my claws through its neck penetrating the other side. I dropped dead to the floor with a thud. Before I stumbled backwards and stopped breathing waiting until I died.

I was down in the blue hole and it was very dark. I was down there with 2 other people named Cris and Dylan. about half an hour of looking around and admiring the view, i saw something moving around beneath us. It was very long like a snake and had 3 red eyes. and its skin was bright green. None of us had seen that kind of creature and were hoping that we found a new specie. We decided to take it back up with us and research it. As we tried to catch it with a net, it swam really fast in to the darkness under us.
It was gone! We were a bit sad that we couldn't learn about it but we were still thrilled to have found a new type of specie.

one day i was grabbing my gear to go tho the abaco blue holes.i did then 18 minutes after i got in I noticed a strange creature atr first me and my friends thought oh its nothing.but i thought it was just a fish.but then the floor started to shake we though it was an earthquake. But it was a new specie.unfortunley he was way too strong for our net. It ripped through the net in like 5 seconds then we explored even deeper and to our suprise.We found the exact same specie.it was cool.This time we examend it.we then realised how many them there were and what their lifespan was.We were suprside to say we found a new animal living in the depths of the blue hole.then we brought them with ous and their favourite food.we found 200 or even more.yet me and my friends have been here before but we never saw them before. We were like how did we never notice this animal.then we realised there were many more than just that about the cave.

there were stuff like limestone rock.but then we said we need to refuel before we drown.so we went up to get refueld.then Tomas one of my friends got stuck it took 30 minutes just to get him out.but then i thought was this the end of us were we ever gonna get out.Or will we make it out alive.luckly we got out in the nick of time.we were like thank gosh.then we refueld and headed off again.this time to the worlds deepest blue hole.were we saw the exact animals we saw in the other cave.then we had waterproof cameras. So we took some pictures of it.then we headed back to the lab. We discovered this was one of many species of this animal we then looked for the othere species

I was in the water when the worst nightmare anybody can think of, it was black scaled with green eyes, teeth sharp as a knife. It came towards me and I looked behind me, a huge rock. It came at me faster and faster and was not one friendly animal, when he was right in front of me I tried to swim around the animal. It's teeth went into my skin and teared apart my suit, I was bleeding and for the animal the scent made him come at me even more. He was waiting for a feast. I was bleeding when I called in the radio and yelled for them to bring me back up, all they did was drop the box down. I quickly swam to the box, but the fish just won't give up. I've seen this animal before, it wasn't as desperate to get me. I went into the box and was dragged up. I was on the boat before I knew it and passed out, I woke up in the hospital and had stitches on my scar. After all I wasn't killed, can't wait to get back in the water.

As I slowly heard the water whooshing, I can see an unexplained mystery. It startled me, with cold air blowing from the west coast. I rapidly dived into the deep end, and there were corals surrounding me. This place seemed very haunted, with galleon ships sitting on the seafloor. Later on, I then plunged towards to the sea floor with my head facing down. In a moment, everything didn't make any sense. I then shortly twisted my head around in an 180 - degree position, and accidentally banged my head onto a mossy rock. It let me a big bump on my top left forehead. A minute later, I heard a high pitched irritating voice that echoed into my ears. I felt very awkward but, still explored under the deep dark sea. There was an uncharted cave, that possibly existed around over a millennium. It had a treasure chest consisting multiple valuable items. One of the most typical ones were gold ingots, 19 karat diamonds, and Faberge Golden Eggs. Either way, there was ancient symbols written by a famous British craftsman who crafted the imperial crown. It was revealed as a monument in the 1900s. In this occasion, it was a king's tomb that got buried around multiple centuries. However, I moved on, and found a booby trap! My heart was beating faster than the top speed of a Laferrari! I was then swimming away from the cave as fast as I can. Phew, “PLEASE COME BACK!” The monster screamed. The noise indicated 5 meters away from the cave. I knew I shouldn’t have explored that cave. My scuba suit ran out of oxygen and I just took off my suit. I realized that I got lost in the sea with no contact or signals. I guess, this is my new survival life. To be continued…..

It was time for my first underwater exploring mission, I was exploring one of the many Abaco blue holes. I was so excited and I hoped nothing would go wrong my crew said it was time, we all jumped in with a big splash the water was freezing, I couldn't see much but then it all cleared up it's like a cave, except full of water I started swimming further I saw some fish they were beautiful. Farther down the cave I could see that the cave split up into two directions, on the left the cave went straight down, on the right there was a small hole. Me and my crew headed down to the drop once we were closer we estimate how far down it went. It was way too far so we decided to go through the hole, now just how would we fit through it was our question. I swam over and took off all my equipment, I could squeeze through my crew past me my equipment. once everyone got to the other side we looked around it was pitch black besides our lights my foot started to slip I freaked out, I didn't know what was going on I looked down and we were at the edge of a big drop further than the last. I ran back to the wall which was only a metre away. The floor was collapsing, I jumped through the hole without my equipment so did my crew we got to the other side but we have no equipment, besides what helps us breathe, we would have to buy all new equipment once we got back. We started following our guidance rope back to the cave entrance. When we got up the rest of our team was wondering what had happened because of the expressions on our faces we told them what happened and we all decided not to explore that cave again!

Splosh. I dove into the blue hole swimming farther and farther down. I kept going down and found a cave entrance. I swam into the cave looking for fossils and marine life. I went farther and farther into the cave When suddenly I got stuck in between the walls I tried wiggle out but it just got worse. I called command center on my walkie talkie.

Command center: What is it Kyle.

Kyle: I am stuck in between cave walls.

Command center: Oh great this again. OK stay calm Kyle well have another diver come down to get you he'll follow the string toward your path.

Kyle: Great! I'll be waiting here for another hour

Command center: Stay in there Kyle.

KYLE KYLE! What I said in shock It's me Emmet we got to get you out of there before you lose oxygen. I have another oxygen tank for you. Great great pull me out please. Emmet started tugging me out from the walls It hurt a lot. He pulled once more and I was free and tired. Here put this on Emmet said. He tossed me a full oxygen tank. I pulled of the empty tank and as quickly as I could I put on the full tank. Come on lets go back to the surface Emmet said. We swam up to the surface when we got there we were trampled by people making sure were OK. obviously we were OK.

What do I do, I wondered gasping for air. Every thing was fine, until 18 minits ago...

18 minits ago... I lifted my gas tank on to my back, Time to do what I do best, Swimming, I thought. I squeezed into the small opening. The tight walls loosened up, till I was in. The beautiful seen before my eyes. The water shined. Just then I saw a hole. With... I shivered. ... Eyeballs. I went in, but the creature was amazing. At first it was invisible. Then it changed color. It hit me. It can camouflage. I went in for a closer look. Suddenly my tank hit a rock. I panicked. I only had enough air for 3 minuets. I had hit my radio, too. Help isn't coming. And now here I am Left with 2 and a half minuets. I swam as fast as i could. Only 2 more minuets. I hit another rock. And my tank flew off. Great. Just great. I'M GONNA DIE. I held my breath clinging on a rock, the current pulling me. I grasped another rock and pulled my self in, placing my toes on the two rocks. Then I squirmed in through the entrance. Suddenly I ran out of breath. I got out as fast as I could. I got out and started to cough.

Turns out I was fine and I DISCOVERED A NEW SPECIES OF FISH.

I felt a splash of cold water as I started my dive down. I waited for the rest of the crew to dive in. We began to swim Joe made sure every one knew what we were trying to find again. "we are trying to find a new species of fish". "yes we know" I blurted out "well if you know this why don't you find it!". "all right" I swam off I tried looking for a fish but they all were the same. With pincers and shells with a tail that looked like a whales tail but shrunk. All of them around o blue whole. oh I wish I had found a new species not a fish that nobody has seen before.

It was my first time going under water and it was very dark and could. I was very scared sharks were swimming around me and i thought stay calm and talk deeb breath.and i explored the abaco with the crow and i saw lots of cool things and i really liked exploring the anaco .
