Directions towards Happiness?

     Do you ever feel down, low, in a funk, or out of sorts?  Of course you do, everyone has hours, days, or weeks, where they just don’t feel that great, where everything sort of feels down and out.  Think about the last time that that happened to you… what causes you to feel that way?  Then think about how you got out of your funk, what brought you back up to feeling like yourself again?  
​     This week for your blog post jot down what makes you feel down and three strategies you have for getting yourself up out of the dumps.  Listening and learning from each other’s strategies may give us all some new insight and ideas into how we can get ourselves to be our best selves!

The thing that makes me feel down is when people that are important to me not get along with each other and start fighting because who ever is not exactly being to the other person it makes me feel depressed because we should all respect other people.

Number 1 -
Try to explain that it isn't the nicest thing in the world because if you don't really know someone you can't know what they really are like.

Number 2 -
Do everything I can to make them get along and make sure that no one is hurt because of the other person!

Number 3 -
Remind them how they wouldn't want someone doing that to them and make sure they don't do it again but if they do then I don't know.

There is so many times when I have been sad. But I always find a way to get past it! Here are some of the things that makes me sad,and how I get through them.

-I feel sad when I get into a fight with a friend,I solve this by apologizing,and just being nice!
-I feel sad when I have to leave a good friend,I solve this by remembering that there is always a way that we can meet up somehow and reminding myself that as long as we think about eachother,that we are not really apart.
-I feel down when I make a big mistake or I do not do as well as I wanted to. I feel better when I practice and feel more confident in myself and play games or read a book to take my mind off it.

An example of when I felt down is when a terrible tragedy happened in my house! The wifi shut down in my house for a WHOLE DAY. I was totally freaking out. Because without Wifi I have no life,but then I realized that the internet isn't all that matters,so I started to play with my brother,read books,and I had just as much fun as I would with wifi. (but to be honest, most of this time was actually spent playing Crossy Road)

Those are how I get through hard times~~~

There are a lot of things that make me feel down but the thing that makes me feel down the most is when...

Me and my friends fight because it just seems like there is another thing to worry about other than school work and family.It sort of makes you feel stressed like if you don't apologize what will happend?

The things that help me are...

-Listening to Music.This helps me because I just get lost in the music and I feel like there's nothing to worry about.It also helps me because I like singing along and that just helps get my mind of things for a bit.

-The next thing is apologizing.Apologizing helps me because the simplest word "Sorry" can fix some problems.So if you say sorry that might help your friendship get back on track and fix the problem so that you don't need to worry about the problem anymore.

-Writing It Down.This idea is really weird but it really does help me because I write down what I feel about the problem on a piece of paper then I crumple up the paper and throw it away.This helps because it helps me forget about the problem and it helps me get the courage to say something to the person so you don't have to ignore each other.

What makes me feel down is..........
1# When my mom makes me do thing I dont like to do any more like "make braclets, dont play any video games"
2# Sometimes my mom makes me do to many things and it realy fustrates me.

What makes me feel beter is when I play video games or listen to music.

What makes me feel down is: when I can't do something that looks very easy.
Three things that help me are:
1. Ask someone to help.
2. Take a break, do something else, then come back and do it again
3. Keep trying, maybe I can make it!

An example of something that makes me feel down Is when my team loses a soccer game. We all feel down that we lost.

1: I talk to my mom and she reminds me that losing is part of sport, I will play more games and its not the end of the world

2: I go up to my room to think about what I did wrong and what I can do better next time I play

3: I practice during the week to get better at my skills so we can win my next soccer game

What is making me feel down is:

1. When my mom doesn't let me watch Ellen Degeneres on youtube
2. When I hurt myself
3. When I get stuck on a very hard math problem

If I felt down on any of those things, I would try to think of something happy to keep myself happy.

There are a lot of things that get me down and here are some......

One thing that makes me feel down is when my hockey team gets to cocky and we lose our game, because of the over confidence. When this happens only a few players on my team play well and the rest play bad and rely on their attitude.
-Sometimes when this happens I watch T.V. for a bit, that helps get happy again so that I don't take out my anger on innocent people.
- I also usually play street hockey after games like this and stay outside for about half an hour.
-The thing I do most often though is go to sleep, but before I do I usually check the league standings to see what place we are in

What makes me feel down is...

1. Losing a hockey game when we played better than the other team.

2. Too much homework at once.

3. Failing at something I have been doing for a long time.

The thing that makes me happier is playing my iPad, going outside and playing by my self or listening to music.

What make me feel down is:

1. When i play soccer i usually feel like i am useless sometimes because i am not fast enough.

2. When i don't talk to my dad for 3 weeks because he travels a lot and i don't see him much often

3. When i have to go to sleep early at 11:30 PM in the weekends

How i solve:

1. In the weekends i practice running around my street to get faster

2. Face time him every week or travel to him for a vacation

3. Secretly have a backup electronic phone to watch YouTube at night and use a headset to not alert my mom until i feel sleepy.

These are some things that sometimes make me feel down and what I do about it...

1. Some days I feel like I have nothing to do and get bored.
When this happens I tell myself there is no such thing of being
bored and I make a list of things I could possibly do.

2. About once a month there is a day where I get very tired and feel
like nothing is going my way. When this happens I usually try to do a nice deed because recently I've learned that making someones day actually makes my day too.

3. On the winter weekends I usually feel tired and down in the morning because we always wake up at 7:00 am after a late night to go skiing. When this happens I always feel happy after getting first tracks and then I feel it was all worth it!

my # 3 that makes me sad... is when I have disagreement with my friends it makes me sad or mad.

There are moments when I feel down and things aren't going my way. Here are a few things I do...

1. When I don't do well in a tournament. What I do to feel better is to think about how there will be more and it's not the end of the world.

2. If I ever get hurt. What I do is hold it for ten seconds or think about something else.

3. Sometimes I feel like I woke up too early and I'm tired and grumpy. What I do to make me feel better is to think about what I say so I don't say something I didn't mean. I also try to be energized so I'm not tired

Just remember everyone feels down,your not the only one!!!

The things that make me feel down

1.When I miss a ground ball in baseball

2.When I don't like any shows that are on the tv

3.When I miss the net in hockey

How I try to fix those problems

1.Work on ground ball bouncing a tennis ball against the wall

2.Record more tv shows

3.Practice my shot in my basement or in my room playing mini sticks and working on my shot at hockey practice

Here are some things that I get upset and sad by and how I get over them...

1. Sometimes I get upset when I don't do as well as I would want to do on a test to get over this I like to think the best of the situation and learn from my mistakes

2. Also when I mess up in hockey and it causes the other team to get a goal or win. To get over this I will practice my shot in the basement and I try not to think about it too much and move on.

3. I also get upset and grumpy when I don't get enough sleep. What I do when this happens is spend time in my room by myself reading and go to bed early that night.

These are some things that I get upset with and how I try to get over them!

Sometimes when I feel down or upset about anything I choose one thing to do from my long list of stuff. Here are just 3 of them
(There is not really anything specific that makes me unhappy but It usually happens with my friends)

1. 1 thing I do to make them feel good is making sure to Face-time or call them because sometimes I am embarrassed to talk to them in person . So the next time we talk to to each in person we are happy and friends again. This is a good method because it will surely make your friend feel much better than before.

2. My second method to help solve problems is to talk to them and simply just straighten things out. If they don't talk to you then just ask them to tell you what's wrong. If they still don't talk to you that means they need some space to cool down maybe its not you there mad at. So just don't talk to him/her and eventually if she is your friend she will be the on to talk to you.


3. My last and final method is to just say "Sorry" because it is a little word but, Sometimes it can mean big things. If you got into a little fight than "Sorry" is the the big word. This is pretty self explanatory but, It works. Sometimes all a person expects is one word.
( I got influenced by The song " Sorry " by Justin Beiber while typing up method 3 cause I was listening to it ;)

The thing that gets me down or upset or sad is when people I know like close friends family, teammates classmates, or anybody else I know, it just gets me down when I see any of those people fighting and arguing and I just feel terrible when I see that stuff happening I don't know why I just hate when people are arguing or fighting it just makes me sad.

ways to deal with it.

1. The first way that I try and help and deal with it is just stop watching and go out their and say "stop arguing" and usually that get them my attention so I need to try and get them to make up and stop arguing or fighting so I say either "just don't talk to each other if you don't want to talk to each other" or "lets just continue with what we are doing" and usually that works( But usually isn't all the time) so that is my first strategy.

2. The second way is to just talk to them sometimes just talking to them is the best thing to do because it usually gets the people that are arguing or fighting to settle down and usually I just say when that happens in a nice soft tone "stop fighting you don't need to fight" and sometimes that works so sometimes just talking nicely is all you need to do.

3. the third way to get through that is not when it happens it is if nothing gets done during what ever time period it happened in. If nothing gets done about the fighting or arguing between the two people I usually fell really bad for the rest of the day wondering if the people will make up and become friends again so the way to get my mind of that is to just listen to nice and calm music with my headphones in so I cant hear anything else so I don't think about anything else.

Those were the ways that help me get through a tough time or what I do when a tough time is appearing.

The one thing that makes me feel down is when I get into a fight with family or friends. I always feel so bad for myself and I have to tell myself "It's gonna be okay". The three things that help me get better in that situation are....

1. Is to remind myself that it's not the end of the world and that it will all get solved.

2. And to just calm myself down by stepping away from the situation and taking a moment alone.

3. Talking it out with other family and friends about it. Sharing my feelings and trying to come up with a solution.

These are the three things that make me upset and how I try to get over them....

1. When I mess up at playing a sport that I am really good. To make my self feel better I Remember that I can always try again and if I do mistake I can learn from it.

2. When I don't manage my time. Sometimes I hope to do certain things in my day so I wont have to do them later but I end up not doing them because I Spend to much time on something I didn't need to do. So maybe a way to not make this happen is by planning out my day like maybe having a schedule or something.

3. When I have nothing to do and I'm done all my homework. To solve this from happening I will either listen to music or text my friends.

These are the things that make me feel sad and what I will do to try and fix that.

1. Something that happens a lot to me is sometimes when I wake up in the morning and I just don't feel like my self, you know when you are all grumpy and you just feel like doing stuff that you typically wouldn't do like arguing or being mean or unfriendly. What I can do when I am feeling like this is, notice that I am being not myself and try to act more like my on a daily basis and try to not treat people how I feel like treating them but treating them how I would like to be treated. The last way I could fix this problem is go back to sleep.

2. Another thing that makes me feel not the best is when other people are getting into fights or are generally just arguing or fighting and it usually ends up with someone or more than one people getting in trouble or someone getting hurt, this is how I can fix this problem, the first thing I could go over there cause I can't fix a problem from standing at the other side of the field, What I can do when I go over there is first tell them to calm down and try to figure out how to fix the problem and what is causing the problem.

2. when I can't do a good snapshot in hockey
3.when I wake up on the wrong side of the bed

1. To try and win the battles in the game and making good passes
2.to practice my shot in practice and at my house
3. To try to be okay in the morning and the whole day

2.the second thing is when my sister and brother are being so mean and rude to solve that problem I go to sit and watch anime because it is funny and makes me feel better and more happy I will also listen to music.

3.the third thing that makes me sad is when my friends are fighting what I try to go is tell them to calm down and apologize to each other
