We live an amazing country and in our country we all celebrate the holidays differently. There are many different religions, traditions, and celebrations. For your blog post this week, your job is to describe your favourite holiday tradition that you celebrate with your family. This can be related to your religion, the winter holiday’s, or anything else that your family celebrates. I think that this time of year is a great one for thinking about our families and what great things we do with them. These are the traditions that will live on in your memories as you become older. So, take some time to think about what you really enjoy with your family and describe it for us in the comments below!

Every year on Christmas morning my grandparents come over to watch us open gifts and have breakfast, after we eat and check out our stockings we Skype my other Grandparents that live in Nova Scotia and open our gift with them watching. After we open all of our gifts we clean up and my Grandparents go home. After lunch we go to our Grandparents house to do Christmas dinner and open our Secret Santa gifts.

over the holidays my family and I decorate the Christmas tree (me and my brother get to do it twice, once at my moms place and one at my dads place). Also every year on Christmas eve we go to my mom's work and we watch charlie brown Christmas and get a snack at the lunch room. We haven't done this lately but when I was younger our family hosted a Christmas party and we invited all the neighbors over to our house. On Christmas day we go to my papa's apartment to open our presents from them and my relatives on my moms side. The day after (also known as Boxing day) we go over to my dad's house to open my presents from his side of the family. then we usually stay there 'till new years eve and we invite our friends over and sometimes we go to this big party at one of my dad's friend's house. Those are the holiday traditions that my family does every year in December.

Every New Years Eve my family throws a party just for us. We make lots of great food to eat. We play board games mouse trap and twister but my dad doesn't participate. As our family we count down for New Years. After that we tell each others goals for the New Year.

On Christmas day my sister and I are always the first to get up but it doesn't make a difference because we have to wait for our parents to get up. Once they get up we only open the things that are in our stockings then we eat breakfast. After we eat we open our presents that are under our tree.

I celebrate Christmas. My tradition with my family is every year on Christmas eve, we go to my grandmas house and my cousins and I go on Santa tracker and we track him down to see where he is at that exact time. Then we go home and my grandparents are there because tomorrow they would open presents with us. On Christmas morning we run downstairs and open presents and then we make breakfast burritos for breakfast (it has cheese, salsa, eggs, sausage and bacon rapped in a toritia shell). |After that we enjoy the rest of our Christmas day and enjoy the gifts we received.

The day before Christmas my aunt comes over for the week. Every year at the crack of dawn I wake up and start yelling it's Christmas, it's Christmas. I wake up everyone, and then I rush as fast as I can down the stairs to open my presents. In the evening we eat a great dinner, then we go to the fireplace and cook chestnuts (they are delicious). This is what I usually do for Christmas and it turns out fabulous.

On Christmas eve my family goes to church at night and when we get home we go upstairs to our rooms and get our gifts for our family members and put them under the tree. We always wait until Christmas eve to put the gifts under the tree and every year we read the Christmas story then we go to bed and then when we wake up our stockings are out so we open our stockings then have breakfast then we open the ones under the tree.

In our religion we celebrate Christmas a little differently, for starters in our religion there are prophets and Jesus is one of our prophets but we call him Prophet Issa. For his birthday we do some extra prayers at our religious place and that is kind of it. I sometimes get presents and sometimes not, but when I do it is something like a roll of duck tape or something, small and sweet.

I would want a roll of duct tape for Christmas, you can do lot's of things with it; like repair something or tie a person up.

I celebrate Christmas on January 7th, my family usually goes to Niagara falls to meet up with my cousins; then we all go to a big church but we go to the basement where there is a church party going on. Where there are a whole lot of people I don't know, I'm usually socially awkward around the people so I barely do anything. After the church party, I get a lot of money on which I want to use on for various video games.

I chose Christmas because It is the most popular holiday in my family. So here it goes. The reason why I like Christmas is it is a time to get together with your family and have a Christmas dinner it is really fun also I like when we get kids from our lady of peace come a carol for canned food it is really nice to see and my favorite part of Christmas is the the books that come with it like Rudolph and the night before Christmas and books like that. This is why Christmas is one of my favorite holidays

My family traditions for over the holidays. On christmas eve my family has a christmas eve party with my dads side of cousins and my garandmader on my dads side. What we do is we gather up and fool around eat a feast and open presents well we only get presents from one pair of cousins. On christmas morning and christmas day. Then in the morning we wake up sprint down stairs hair almost flying of just scratching our heads while watching tv just waiting for our parents to come down stairs and when they do we start on our stockings take all out stuff out then my parents make a coffee then we get strait onto the presents. After were done with that we go pack up for a christmas at my garandmaders and garandfaders on my maders side. Once we get there usually my cousins are already there or they'll be on their way. Once they get there we unpack and then we go down into there basement were we open presents. Then we sleep over then head back to our house after breakfast. Once we get home we unpack then get ready to go to my nana's house with my cousins on my dads side once again we open presents and eat then we go back home and chillax. Then there is New years. On New years we usually head up to my friends cottage a couple days before. Then we hang out and fool around until it gets close to midnight on New years eve we watch the ball drop and then we stay a couple nights after. That is my tradition that me and my family do on the holidays.

On Christmas morning my brother and I would get up really early and we would look at our stockings first then we would run down the stairs and then my parents would come down and we would open all of our presents. After my grandparents would come over and look at what we got. Then my mom would make the turkey and we sit at the table as a family and have Christmas dinner. After that we would all play bingo :)

My favourite holiday is Christmas. In my family we take turns going to a different house every year on Christmas day. Sometimes it is at my grandparents, sometimes at one of my uncles. This year Christmas will be at our house. My grandparents, my uncles and aunts and my cousins all get together for brunch. After brunch we open presents. Mummy is always in a Santa hat and she calls out the names on the presents. Then we have a tradition of the youngest opening his presents first - my brother Thane is the youngest. Then it goes up the line to the oldest. My grandpa is the oldest and he has to wait the longest to open his presents. Next year I will have a new baby cousin, so Thane will have to go second. We have lots of fun and when the presents are all open and we thanked each other, we play and talk until it is time for dinner. I can't wait for Christmas day.

My tradition is that we all have hot chocolate with marshmellows and instead of saying cheese we say joy. We also either go out to eat chinease or go to see our cousins, love christmas ,enjoy it now because when we are bigger we wont be able to celebrate with everyone forever, HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY AND CHRISTMA$ Comments are closed.
