1. Is it too late to make a positive impact on the environment, or can we make a change?2. What changes would you make to build a positive future for the generations to follow us?
This week we celebrated Earth Day, a day to raise awareness and recognize the importance of environmental protection. As I was looking through the various events and videos that were posted, this one really caught my attention. Watch one man’s ‘apology’ to future generations, for the damage being done today.. Although some of the points he makes refer to American politicians, I think the message he has to share is universal. As you watch, think about his message. Do you agree? For your blog post, in the comments, reflect on the following:
1. Is it too late to make a positive impact on the environment, or can we make a change?2. What changes would you make to build a positive future for the generations to follow us?

1. I think that it is a little too late to save the environment because as he said, the trees are being cut down for money and I think that if we try to stop cutting down trees it will effect US more than the environment because we have basically learned that

1. I think there is time if we stop using our fossil fuels to pollute the water and air and also if we become Eco friendly then there should be a nice person sitting in the throne of the world and help the earth stop cutting down trees and save the white rhino's!

1. I think that there is time for some things to be saved and helped but others can't. Why? Because these plants and animal species are extinct. Did you know that in 2010 scientists did an estimation and 150-200 plant and animal species die EVERY DAY? At this rate that is at most 0.1% of all plant and animal species per YEAR. With all of the technology that we have these days it will be very hard to make a change and not all people are on board. There are some people in this world who believe that scientists are faking global warming just to be on the news and get attention. That is horrible but until they make a change nothing will change, it will just get worse.

1. I think we can make a change even in our community. Small changes such as planting a tree or recycling can lead to big changes. It's never to late to start helping the environment.

1. I think that somethings in the evironment can be saved, like if we stop cutting down trees or hunting endangered/almost endangered animals but there are some things that are beyond saving that like animals that are excintict. I think if we were only buying/making what we need then I think the environment might be able to make a positive impact.

I think that It is to late too fix our world's environmental problems totally because, not enough people care, and not enough money goes towards fixing the environment. Also I think that you can make the world more environmentally friendly but there will always be pollution, and jobs that ruin the environment. I think some ways that we can make a change is for the Americans to use something else than paper for their dollar bills and have more electric cars. That is my opinion in why I think that It is too late to fix our world.

1. I think we can make a change if we all work together! We could pick up litter in the school yard in the ravine creeks rivers! Stop using fossil fuels! Use wind power some solar power!

I think we can all make sure we don't have to say sorry to the future generations if we care about the people rather than the pounds(another way of saying money). I think we can find a way to destroy pollution instead of find a way to destroy tree's. We should all not be influenced by the bad choices of the nature killers. We should all work together so we don't have to say sorry and instead future generation can say Thankyou to us for taking care of our earth.Money won't even matter, if all the tree's are gone and if all the tree's are gone then we go too :-(

1. I think that there is still time because if we stop cutting trees and keep our money for more important things like finding homes for homeless people.

1.I Think that it is to late because what we have do is all ready to much we have destroyed Between 2000 and 2010 13 million hectares (32 million acres, 130,000 square kilometers or 50,000 square miles) of forest a year was lost globally.IT IS TO LATE!!!

1: I do not think it is too late because of the amount of trees we are cutting down in a day, which is amazing, I think we could decrease that, and that would help a lot!

1. I think that it's too late to make an impact on the world because of the amount of people that don't care about the planet/environment.

I agree with this guys message and I think that if we can take a step forward, we can help the Earth. What I think we should do is plant two seeds for every tree that is cut down, not put waste down to the sewers and find new homes for the animals that homes we destroy. For example I actually saw a mouse today in the next door backyard and it looked so young. Their kid wanted to kill it but I told him no because it was a tiny mouse that was probably just starting to live on its own or got lost. That made him agree a little. That is my part that I did to the environment.

1. I'm a bit mixed about this, because maybe, if there were enough people in the world who cared then maybe we could create a difference. But most people in this world are too selfish and greedy to know that one day we might go extinct.

I do not think it is too late to save the planet. I think we still have a lot of forests and trees and lakes and rivers to protect. If each of us does one thing to help save the environment, we can save it for many generations to come. Simple things like not wasting water, recycling, and maintaining green spaces in our community can help to prolong the life of the environment. If every family planted a tree in their backyard, it could help. If every family recycled, it would help. If governments paid more attention to the environment and less money on wars then perhaps as a world we could save our planet.

I'm with sandra on this, I think we could save the planet but too many people dont care about it and continue to waste our precious resources like coal, water, and oil because all its doing it destroying the world

I agree of what the guy has to say about the environment. It is not to late to make changes on the environment. We can make change by collecting the garbage and not littering. If I would make any changes to the community it would be for people not to litter. Not to create any pollution. Comments are closed.
