| Have you ever wished that you could fly? I know that I have. This week's blog post looks at the science behind skydiving, a wild, crazy, and scientific adventure? In this week's paragraph, I would love for you to write a paragraph for me that summarizes what you learned from this video, as well as answer the question, do you think you would want to try skydiving? Be sure to give some reasons why or why not! |

Skydiving seems scary, but once you get into it; it's actually really cool. Because there isn't just gravity, there is also drag which doesn't make it seem like a huge fall off a cliff kind of situation. I bet it feels like floating. It's also cool that you can do all these kind of positions with it, like the chair, the dock and the head! I hope to skydive one day, because of the bird's eye view which would feel like your flying!

I learned that skydiving does not just use gravity but drag, which move in opposite directions so than you are not plummeting to you death because you are going so fast. I would not like to go skydiving because I would be absolutly terrified, I can definitely can't do roller coasters so I think this would be worse.

In this video you learn about skydiving and the science behind it. One of the things it teaches you about is gravity. It is the force that keeps you on the ground so you aren't floating around in space. Another force is drag. That is the feeling that you get when you wave your arms when you are going fast on a roller coaster. The final force it talks about is tracking which you experience when you are is the water and you are swimming, your body faces one way and that is the way you go.

This video teaches you that when you skydive you are not just being pulled down because if gravity but you are also being pushed up because of the air molecules coming at you and this is called drag. When and if you go skydiving you might be in for a surprise about because of how long your flight is.

sky diving seems fun but there is a lot of science behind it like drag. drag is air particles hitting the surface of what is falling and making it slow down. also the lighter you are the slower you fall.

in this video I learned about drag that is the complete opposite of gravity and that it affects you while sky diving. I always thought that you just fell from the sky and never knew about the movements that can help you move in the air. Drag probably makes it feel like your flying or floating in the air, not falling.

I learned that while you are doing skydiving you are not using just gravity, but your also using something called "Drag", which moves in opposite directions, so you don't fly down in an anonymous place very quickly. I would never do skydiving because it's so high up and I'm absolutely frightened that I will get severely injured or death.

Today is a very special day because I cleared a confusion that I have been stuck on since like so long that why do we float when we are skydiving because gravity is still there because we are not going farther than the moon and the moon is controlled by the earths gravity system and today I learned that there is an other force called "DRAG'' that keeps us in the air. What would you do if you had my kind of personality because I am super confused, I am always into exploring new things but I am going to admit it I am a scardy cat, like literally if someone came up to me from behind and says 'Boo', I would scream my head of.

Skydiving is a lot more than it looks like. People make it seem like you just fall from the sky then land. But there is a lot more to it like all of the different positions speeds and techniques. DRAG is also a big part of skydiving it is when the air molecules are hitting you and making you float more. To catch up with someone you can change your position and you can be going at the same speed as someone who is heavier than you.

I personally would never want to sky dive but after watching it its actually not that bad. Naw that i know that air molecules are on my side aka drag

One thing I learned is that when you fall you accelerate but not while skydiving because of drag a force that makes air molecules keep you in the air for longer while being able to do tricks. I would not like to try skydiving because of how high you fall from and how the parachute jerks you up into the air when you pull the string.

I learned from this video that there is a force called Drag which fights against gravity. The more body is exposed to the wind causes more Drag which causes you to slow down. Parachutes collect Drag which makes you slow down. I would like to go skydiving sometime because I have never tried it and I think it is going to be a good experience for me.

I have always wanted to skydiving but i never really thought much about i just thought that you jump out of a plane and fall and parachute. But no what i learned about this video is that the air molecules push up against you woch is called "drag" and makes you fall slower. P.S i will go skydiving

Skydiving, cool, scary and scientific. I will tell you why. In the video three friends went skydiving, but there was more to the video. You don't just fall from a plane then pull a string to make an parachute, there is different positions and scientific ways to skydiving. First there is drag which the best way they described it is when you stick your hands out of a moving car/truck e.t.c. Drag makes you fall slower towards the ground. But during that time do some fun tricks, the one that looks the coolest to me is flips:) I would some day LOVE to try skydiving!

I learned that if you want to skydive from a plane you have gravity that pulls you towards earth and when your falling there are tiny air molecules that each time they bump into your body they cause a little bit of force. When just one hits you it may not seem like a lot but when a lot of them hit you it they make a big force that's called a drag which pushes against the gravity.

I am like others who wanted to fly, so I really enjoyed this video. Like for example I didn't know that if you are in a seating position while skydiving you can travel 200 miles per hour. Also, when you go skydiving there are air molecules that push you up which is called drag.

I would never want to jump out of a plane and do skydiving! I think that I would curl up in a ball thinking 'Arghhh!' in my head and I would probably spin around and around because I was curled up in a ball. I learned from this video that I should stay calm and spread your arms and legs out to increase your surface area to slow you down and stay up in the air longer by creating 'drag'. I don't think I'd be able to do that, but I would like to try indoor skydiving!

In this video I learned how drag comes into place when their is only an Intence hight that your falling from. Also how gravity pulls you to the ground but the air mollicules drag you back up with and even force. Also you can use drag to do something called tracking wich will steer you left right up and down. Also when you are driving in a car and you're hand is out of the window thats when drag can also come into place. When you pull the cord to release your parachute it gives you more drag so you don't hit the ground super hard. You can also make positions were you can get less drag and you will go faster. Thats what I have to say about this video

Oh ya and I would love to do sky diving not only because its funs Its also to learn the science. But then my fears come into place because what if my parachute didn't pull and then I could die. But its better to die doing something that you love then doing something u dont

What i learned from this video is the gravity and DRAG are both important things like gravity is pulling you from the earth and drag pushes you up but since gravity is stronger than drag you will still go down. And yes i really want to go skydiving.
