“You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself any direction you choose”.
This quote from Dr. Seuss is so empowering.  He really offers a message to everyone, each one of us has our own special set of skills, abilities and CHOICE! We can steer ourselves any direction that we choose.  This week I have seen such amazingness from you all.  You were being positive role models, sharing the robot and it’s abilities to the kindies and the grade 8’s.  You were steering yourselves in positive directions.  For your task this week, I want you to think of how you can continue to steer yourself in a positive direction.
What is one thing you can do this week that will make a positive difference in someone’s life?
For your blog post this week, choose to do one nice thing that makes a difference for someone.  Describe what you did as a story, or a narrative.  Can you tell it so that we can point out the characters, the conflict, the climax? Tell us the story of your positive choices so that we can all celebrate how we’re making the world a better place--one kind act at a time!

I went to see my cousin in Thornhill. When I got there my cousin was nowhere to be seen. I checked his favorite places to be in the house. The living room, the family room, his room and the deck. He was nowhere. As I walked down the stairs to the basement I heard a noise coming from the office.
I was very curious what the noise was so peeked into the office and saw my cousin. But something was wrong he wasn't his extremely happy and playful self. Today he was extremely upset and ready to just lie there forever. Then I realized the noise was crying! And the crying was coming from my cousin!
I came into the room and sat next to my cousin he said hi but it was almost like a grunt. I said, "do you need help?" He nodded and said it's useless though because I can't do math. I looked at the math it was about area of triangles, rectangles and squares. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. I showed him how the triangles are is base times height then divided by two and rectangles and squares are length times weight.
After I showed him he lit up with happiness because he understood how area works. He said thank you about a million times to me. He sped through the homework like Usain Bolt running 100M race. He started to go upstairs so he could show his parents he had finished is math homework. He felt ready to play with me. His parents were so happy and checked his homework and it was perfect. They were impressed. He told them he could not have finished without my help. Me and my cousin played the rest of the night, happy.

(I spelled my name right this time!) When I go home most of the time I leave my bag at the front door and go to my room pretending that my brothers don't exist at all. I try not to run into them and if I do I act like I am really busy and can’t play with them. I sometimes get yelled at to play with them but I do it for a minute. The next time I want to go to my room and ignore my brothers I will play with them for less than 10 minutes. When I get yelled at I will play with them for 30 minutes that is the best that I will do!

It was a Tuesday. I was sitting at the front of my dance studio, watching other people's solos. One girl in grade 5 was doing her musical theater solo. When she finished, no one really clapped because the other grade sixes weren't friends with her and the grade fives are quieter than the people my age. I felt bad, so I clapped and cheered because I knew what it felt like to have no one clap for you. The girl looked grateful and smiled and I felt pretty good about it.

I was at home, minding my own bissiness and then my sister ask me to help her with her home work. I useally say no, well because she is kind of annoying. Wait what am I saying?, she is really annoying. Even though she is annoying I said yes this time. So, when she was doing it her she was having trouble, so I helped her. After I helped her I felt really good that I helped her. Now whenever she needs help or she wants to play with me, I will play with her and help her, because it is the right thing to do.

So, when she was doing it, she was having trouble.

I took out the word "her".

As they walked out the door, the cold breeze rushed over them. Yes, many would say, there was nothing to worry about. Not at all. It was said it was the last warm day of November. But I don't know about you, but I don't believe the weather channel. Just like it was said it was supposed to snow on Sunday. But obviously not. But you cant blame them. They aren't magicians. But look, fifty seconds in, and I'm already off topic!!! So yeah, who knows what to believe anymore? But it wasn't going to be that much of an adventure. It was just going to the convenience store on the corner of Martin dale and Upper middle Road East. Which May I mention, is a very short distance from my house. Because I live right off of upper middle. But it was the two guests that I was mostly scared would have more problems. Nope, not my foolish crazy little brother. Although I should see a doctor because no way that I cant be Not worried about him for 1 second. But even though they where both older than me, I was scared something would go wrong. Which was weird. Because in that situation, I can tell there where some mixed feelings in that. I was probably the cautious one, Matthew was probably the crazy one. And 2 minutes later I still get off topic. But still, I was worried because, they live in the country-area up in Barrie. That may sound weird, but its true. If you go to visit, there are indeed houses there, but they live farther away from everything else. Like their school, their convenience store. So the point is, I was scared to see what happened on the road. Because they weren't used to roads. So anyways, I knew something was Bound to go wrong. But we made it there just fine. One of the things I thought could go wrong where, Jack, Who by the way had just finished a whole party-sized bag of "Smart food" would throw up on the road. It wasn't likely, but it could still happen. But again, we got there just fine. And again I'm off topic. how bout' that doctor? It was all running smooth. Kai had gotten a red Jones. I got an Ice cream sandwich. Matthew got Kit-Kat for us to share. But it was only in the store, that they (Jack, Emily) brought it to my attention, that they had no money. My little brother offered to pay for Jack's Pepsi, And whatever Emily got. But of course, that definitely wouldn't be fair. he's my little brother. I couldn't bare to watch him pay for them. So I just decided to pay for them, instead of having a huge discussion about it. It was expensive, whatever they had bought. But I was just happy that nothing bad had happened on the way. So we just decided to go to the park to have our snacks. But it was of course then, where the mistake I knew would come, came. It was brought up in the two oldest's mind's, that it would be a good idea to flip Kai's empty glass bottle of Jones. So, it probably cant be hard to figure what happened as they flipped the empty glass bottle. It cracked. And of course, there was glass on the ground. Luckily it wasn't too much but it still had to be picked up. So in twenty unnecessary minutes, That's the story.

last week it rained, When I came to school not many people had gotten to school yet but some people were walking inside so I decided to hold the door. (we were going in the front door) The next day it was still raining so I held the door again. This time more people people said thank you and one parent asked me if this was my job at school. Last week my brother was learning to multiply using mental math. My brother was horrible at multiplication [no offence]. I helped teach him 2 math strategies. Standard Algorithm and Decomposing. I helped him finish his homework while I did my homework

One time when I went to a store to go buy some candy I saw a homeless man or at least he looked homeless and he wanted to buy some food but he didn't have enough so he started to walk out of the store but I gave him the money he needed and he said thank you and he got what he wanted.

(Thursday November 17 2016)......

I went into the girl guides meeting all happy to see what we were doing today. I was very excited! When they announced that we were going to pack shoes boxes for OPERATION CHRISTMAS!!! I was so happy it was my most favorite thing EVER. You are probably saying what is operation Christmas? Well operation Christmas is when you get a bunch of shoe boxes and fill them with activities for kids in places that DON'T EVER in their life get a present. It is a big deal because kids in places that don't have enough money to buy presents get a present. This is a quote the fonder of operation Christmas said before he sadly passed away."It is funny how ONE shoe box can change a life".

On Saturday I went to a Christmas bazaar at my church. Me, my mom and grandma had signed up for getting orders ready for old people that wanted to eat. Not one of the people that ordered knew how to use the menu, so me and everyone in the kitchen had to give a one hour tutorial on how to use it properly. Still people did not know (smart ones) how to use the menu. The food we where handing out was Ham and Cheese Dark or White sandwiches, Egg Black or White, Veggie soup and the best chili in the world it had 2 scorpion hot peppers in it making it really hot and spicy. When ever one of the order sheets where done I got got stab it on the nail. I was in the kitchen from 9:00 to 4:00. Lets just say I was tired when I was out of the kitchen. We had a lot of left over sandwiches, there was someone selling them after and she sounded like a telemarketer. At 9 at night when I went to bed I had a good sleep.

.11/22/2016....
I was doing my home work as usual and my mom was tired and had a bit of a headache she needed A bit of help while she decorated, So I asked if she needed any help and she said I could vacuum the fourier and the stairs but when I tried to start it, it wouldn't start and as if the world thought I was stupid the MAX button was blinking on and off! So I emptied the vacuum out with a butter knife(Took absolute ages!!!) and got to work. Ten minutes later I was done so I put the Dyson vacuum back in the charger and then mom asked me to get her a rag so she could dust or something( My dad is still on manatoulin island with family hunting). main characters: Me, Mom and a vacuum. Conflict: vacuum cleaner won't work, mom is tired and has a headache.
Climax: I get to work. Resolution: I get the vacuum cleaner working.

It was my birthday party and I gave the last chip to my Aunt.

Yeah...No
A boy came to my house, asking for food for a food drive. I quickly look around my kitchen looking for canned food, but I couldn't find anything. My laser like amazing quick thinking made me get $5 and turn a 12 minute trip into a 4 minute trip as I sprinted narrowly dodging other passerby. When I arrived at the counter, the man asked me if I need help...
Yes, I know, it took me a while to figure out what he meant but I figured it out. (See! laser like amazing quick thinking!) I sprinted all the way home like the 5th little piggy and gave the food to him.
It may not seem like much but when you sprint hard enough that you want to puke your guts out I think you deserve the seal of approval!

One time it was my sister's birthday and I didn't really get her a present, so I asked her what she wanted the day of and she said that she wanted some new shoes. I thought about how I was going to get shoes in such a hurry and so I saw one of my shoes that I don't wear and that my sister likes and gave it to her. After I gave it to her she was pretty happy, but the things was that I haven't seen her wear the shoes once.

The bell rang as we pushed in the chairs and hurried outside. I was putting my books and sheets into my bag as my eyes fell on the girl in the corner. It was Zhang Man Qi, I walked over to her and glanced over her paper, the language sheet. She was having difficult with it and I taught her what the mistake was. She thanked me and together, we went off for our recess.

When I was at my previous school, there was a girl who named Dora is a Chinese, she came Canada only three months and she didn't know much English. I was a volunteer to help her speaking English. I explained the rules and homework to her, I clarified the project of class. Under my helping, she improved English and learning skills very quickly. Even I moved to new school, I still remembered her, because when I helped a person to learn something, I felt so proud of myself. It was a really great experience in my life.

Evan went to the cubs and Scout meeting on November 22nd. He is a scout and he helped to set up tents with the cubs.

First we got everything ready and we laid out the tent then we put the poles in the tent, It look like a square based pyramid. Next we put the rain protector all over the tent because we got it all set up. Then all the Cubs and some scouts went in the tent Evan and his friend Bubbles went inside the tent for a bit and we have fun.

Now the cubs known how to setup a tent if they go camping so they don't be sleeping outside in the rain.

Warning: This is not the best retell and I hope it will be okay at least.

As the bell rang, everyone was in a hurry. Its noise echoed through the whole neighbourhood. That was a very awkward situation, when the full blast bell noise indicated. "BANG, BANG, BANG" It seemed to be a brain fart for sudden people. My teacher was mad as spicy peppers when his students didn't plug their chromebooks in before leaving the classroom. I usually walk to school by myself for a different reason. I was randomly thinking, and as I felt the teachers feeling expression, I started plugging chromebooks. Also, if some of you guys are wondering, it was cart 6. I kept plugging in one chromebook every 5 seconds. Once I was done, I closed the cart doors and showed it to my teacher. He was pleased. I then left the classroom, waved him with a signal, “good bye!” He suddenly waved me back with a great attitude. He also left the school as same time as me. Teachers day really did nailed it. Pretty much, this was the whole story. Doing good things will make you a positive person. Remember: Life is life. Sometimes, you will change at any time. Our destiny is to build a staircase all the way to heaven. So be one of them.

When I finished playing piano, I gave my history book to my sister. She was supposed to test me on the things I was supposed to memorize this week. As we started, she asked me to help her rolled clay together. I thought, well, why can't you do it yourself? But I remembered that she was doing something for me so I said yes. It's fair right? If she does something for me, (even if it's because our mom said so) then I should do something for her. (Even if she still complains that I didn't do it right.)
