The Kindness of Others.

1/15/2015

I read about this video the other night and I knew I needed to see it.  I was blown away by the fact that this monkey cared enough and it was a part of his genetic makeup to spend 20 minutes helping to revive the other monkey.  In our world, where sometimes we only hear about negative things or sadness in our country and others, I think it is so powerful and inspiring to watch this act of true kindness in nature.
This week, I’d like for you to pass on the positive feelings and write down a story of true kindness that you know about.  It can be something that you read, something that you’ve done, heard about, or that someone you know has been a part of but share the kindness story you know.  If you don’t know a kindness story, create your own by finding time to be kind to someone else (preferably someone who doesn’t expect it) and make their day.

Let’s have a Friday where we read about the amazingness of others and use their inspiration to make us strive to be better!

When a few city workers found a squirrrel with its head stuck in a manhole cover, they immediately took it somewhere safe and tried to get it out by making a hole big enough for it to get out without getting even more hurt. When his head was out he was safe and was in the care of experts

Jorge Munoz is a school bus driver by day and an angel by night. Every night for more than 5 years, he has gone home and cooked food for hundreds of people on his old stove. He then goes to a street corner in Queens, New York and feeds those that are hungry. He does this with his own money because "it's the right thing to do".

I found a story about a person who won 24 000 tickets at Dave and Busters. He was going to going to cash them in when he saw a kid with little to no tickets looking rather sad. As a random act of kindness the guy gave all of the tickets to the little kid and he was overjoyed.

Last year, me and my family went to New York to visit my cousin. As usual we had to go shopping and if you don't know already I HATE shopping so me and my dad (who also hates shopping) usually play some games to spend our time. On our way home I saw this man on the street with a rather old guitar playing the most beautiful music I have ever heard, but no one seemed to notice. They were either to busy shopping or on there phones. The man looked so sad he had some blankets, clothes, one piece of bread and a worn out jacket . That made me think that he slept here and had no home. The hat in front of him had nothing but some pieces of paper and a few nickels. I pleaded my dad if we could give him some money and my dad agreed. I dropped a quarter in his hat and he smiled and thanked me. That was the highlight of my entire trip.

There once was a little girl that would see an old poor woman everyday. She lived in a metal cabin that she made from metal sheets. The way she got her money was to find cans and stuff from garbage bins,
, then sell them. This little girl passed this elderly woman everyday after school, and saw how she had to live. She didn't like the fact that a woman, an elderly woman, had to look through garbage's to get cans for money. The little girl eventually started preparing meals for the lady, and before the girl had dinner she would give the lady the meal she prepared. The little girl kept doing this deed until the lady moved far away with family. She got to live in a real house with family. unfortunate for the little girl because of how she hoped to repeat that action til she would move. The girl was still happy for the lady though because of how she didn't have to live outside in the cold, nor look through garbage bins for money.

A couple of years ago when I was about 8, I was walking with my family in Niagara Falls. There was a man in a chair, but he had no feet or arms and I felt so bad for him, so I gave him 20 dollars of my own money to him. He felt ecstatic that I gave him money and I was mostly happy that I made his day.

something I reed about is that an old slow turtle was trying to cross a highway when a man got out of his car and picked up the turtle and carried the turtle across the highway.I think it's nice because the turtle probably would have got hit by a car

At my Church there is a clothing loft and what you do is you bring in your clothes, shoes, toys e.t.c that don't fit anymore or you don't want them so instead of throwing them out or selling them you bring them into the church and every once in a while they let people in and they can take anything they want for free!
I think this is very nice because you have a chance to think about others and giving to them!!!

A true act of kindness that I have done is... Caring for my family when they are sick. Whenever I have a sick relative I keep checking on them to see if they're ok and if they need anything. I will do anything to make them feel better. That is my act of kindness.

My locker is near the kindergarten pen and the kindergartens usually sit there waiting for their parents. When I leave for home, I like to entertain the little kids and see their smiling faces, It's very nice to see innocent kids faces smile; blissfully unaware of the dangers heading towards them.

Somewhere in West Tennessee, not far from Graceland, nine women -- or "The 9 Nanas," as they prefer to be called -- gather in the darkness of night. At 4 am they begin their daily routine -- a ritual that no one, not even their husbands, knew about for 30 years. They have one mission and one mission only: to create happiness. And it all begins with baked goods."

An act of kindness that is done by my littlest sister Kate is that whenever one of us is feeling down, she always tries to cheer us up. for example, when my other little sister Leah gets hurt, Kate always comes to cheer her up. First she sees what's the problem, Then she tries making funny faces, If that doesn't cheer her up she tries making loud funny noises. By then Leah is laughing her head off and Kate moves off to doing her own stuff again and Leah is as happy as could be. It just proves that actions speak louder than words

In 1992 my grandmother passed away. My mom had a friend named Susan, who knew a homeless woman. Susan told my mom that her friend, Sophia, the homeless woman needed winter clothes and boots. Just like my grandmother, Sophia had big feet that required special footwear. My mother packed my grandmother's new winter clothes and boots, and gave them to Susan for Sophia. Sophia was so grateful that she sent my mom a thank you note with Susan.

I thought that was kind of my mother.

One time me and my family we were coming from Manitoulin and our van battery kept dying. The first time we stalled we were in a gas station so we got help jump starting the van, but the second time we stalled, we were on a dark, lonely road. A guy drove buy but he didn't have jumper cables to help us start the van, so he went back to his house and got some and started the van. He let us keep the jumper cables in case we stalled again on the long drive home. We still have the jumper cables and it reminds us of how kind the guy was to help us get home.
