Skydive Save or "How to be Cool Under Extreme Pressure"

Maybe you’ve seen this video already of the man who was skydiving in Australia and he has a seizure.  “A seizure is the physical findings or changes in behavior that occur after an episode of abnormal electrical activity in the brain.”  This man has this happen to him after he jumps out of the plane!  After his seizure, he becomes unconscious and cannot pull his own parachute cord.  The other jumper, the instructor, races down and pulls it for him, and the man regains consciousness before he hits the ground and lands safely.  This video is very scary, exciting, and powerful.  All I could think of is what it would be like to be in the instructor’s position in this.  He was extremely cool under pressure and did what was necessary to save the man’s life.  Think back to times when you feel pressure in your life. It may not be as dramatic as this situation but think about times when you have assignments due, a big game, or some responsibility at home.  

How do you deal with the pressure?  Can you write down 3 simple rules that help you or you think  would help people deal with situations under pressure?  If you know how to deal with the stresses before they happen, sometimes those situations aren’t as difficult when you have to face them.  Try not to copy anyone else’s rules.

The 3 things I do when I feel pressured are
1) Have some time alone to relax, maybe read a book or watch a movie
2) When I feel pressured I get really frustrated and stressed out so I try to stay away from people for a while so I don't take my anger and frustration out on them
3) Once I have cooled down a bit try to talk about it with my parents and figure out a solution together to help me not feel stressed or pressured

these are the three things I do when I am under extreme pressure;
1) Breathe in for six seconds
2) Hold breath for four seconds
3) Exhale for eight seconds
The reason this works is because the breathing technique normalizes your heart rate when it is in a 'fight or flight' response, so now you can think rationally with whatever pressuring situation that might come at hand.

Things i do under Presser
1)I slap my self
2)I listen to music
3)I think of what could if i try
I think this way would work for people because there mind will be focus on the music

Thing I do in pressure:
1) Act silly.
2) Closing you eyes and think of happy thoughts.
3) Take a break and settle down.

Things I do when I feel pressured:

1) get out of the room in which I feel pressured in or if I cannot do that take a walk either around the block our through the hauls
2) get my headphones on and watch Netflix or listen to music while trying to fall asleep in my room or in my basement
3) text my friends and have a conversation which is not about the situation where I'm feeling pressured but about plans or songs or movies or anything that is fun and positive.

Also it helps to take deep breaths and think happy and positive thoughts😝☺️😉

1- sit and play cod/games with my Friends

- change the place where I work
- make a happy and colorful planner to light up my mood
- I will do some arts and crafts to keep my self busy

If I was ever on pressure I will just relax, and take a lot of breaths, until I feel better.

When I was very stressed I used to run away. In my old school I once ran four blocks away from the school before my teacher caught me. It is not a good way to deal with stress, because it is dangerous. I still feel to run sometimes.

Whenever I am stressed I hum. I have done this since I was very little. Humming helps calm me, but sometimes it annoys my brother.

I think a good way to stay calm and focused when under pressure is to not panic. My mom always tells me take a deep breathe and focus on solving the problem rather than thinking it will defeat you.

3 things I would do to stay calm would be to:

1) Get fresh air
2) Take deep breaths
3) drink hot chocolate☕️ and if I'm out of that then watch funny videos!!!👀
