Describing the Environment!

Congratulations on being (almost) done your second week of school! From my perspective, it has been truly amazing to start to get to know each one of you! I hope that your first two weeks have been engaging, exciting and that you’re starting to see that how you think about your learning, your work, and your ideas are so important!
With that in mind, can you write a DESCRIPTIVE paragraph that describes a positive experience that you’ve had these first few weeks of school. Remember, when being descriptive try to use all of your senses to make the experience feel real for the reader.
I will happily start:
The room was humming as I looked around. The students were scattered about the room, some focussed intently on their screens, others pointing out tips and hints to their peers. Students were asking each other for help, learning from each other, and pushing themselves forward. The collaboration was inspiring; an amazing group of students, polite and kind, wanting to learn, wanting to share, being the best they can be. This was truly a positive learning space and it made me feel so proud, so happy, and so lucky to be a part of this new community!

me and my group were working hard and we were trying to do our best and some other groups were trying to watch her do some other groups were trying to do it and then I saw it some other groups did it and we start trying that strategy and we actually God's to stay for a couple seconds until someone knocked it down and your classroom was loud but I think I think everyone's trying their best and if that wasn't enough it was a mess everywhere it took us like one or two minutes to clean it up.

Hi Grade 5's you are probably wondering who is Arik. My name is Arik I was In Mr.Steltmas's class last year in Ch.norton and Mr.steltman worked in Ch.norton for 1 year only.

The room was loud with talking. Me and my group were trying to make a ring out of pringles, we saw other people done and some were struggling. We were so close to being done but it fell down I said to try and try and do it again and work as a team. We tried again but we failed we tried one more time and we failed again. We were deciding to give up but we remembered to do it again even when we fail. We did it one more time and we did it. The four of us felt so happy and proud of ourselves. That was a great teamwork experience.

The best experience I have had so far this year was when the class had to work in groups to make a ring out of Pringles. At first, when Grace, my partner and I were told we had to make a ring out of Pringles we were so confused. We tried and struggled and at one point made it halfway to a ring. Shortly after the whole thing fell so we tried again. After this effort, it fell again! Grace and I were almost going to give up on the third time we did it. When I let go the whole entire thing fell apart. Even though it didn't really work I had so much fun, and we enjoyed eating the Pringles after.

My group was trying to do a ring with pringles but we could not do it.but then we got help and we finished just in time.I thought it was super nice

So me and my group where really trying and i bet the other groups where to but we tried to us team work and we did are best we did all we could do.And the Pringles challenge was vary fun and also really hard but every one tried there best.

it was a great first week for me my group hand fun Making Pringles into a loop it was awesome then on Friday mr steltman who is probably the best teacher ever let us play with and code robots we learned well at the same time having Lots and lots and lots of fun overall grade 5 has been the best year ever so far

The past 2 weeks of school have been great for me, My positive experience from these 2 weeks are . All those challenges we have done were super fun, from what I think the pringle challenge was the hardest challenge of them all because we tried to make a ring of prigles. The activity that I think was the most fun was scratch. my brain was struggling to put those coding blocks together.

So far I LOVE grade five and I am having so much fun. I really like how Mr.steltman tought us how to make a website and how we do this blog post and how students from last year in mr steltmans class still do this blog post and the things that mr steltman makes us do are really fun .i dont think anything in mr stelmans class will be boring .

This has been a wonderful 2 weeks and i have already learnt how to do a new method of doing math. We have already done fun challenges like make the tallest tower we can make that supports a BIG marshmallow, try and make a ring of pringles and you let us eat the marshmallow and pringles after we finished the tasks. I already think you are the best teacher and I think this is going to be a great year.

When we were at school, the room was buzzing with excitement! He remembered to do the attendance that day, and there was two not so hard, not so easy math questions on the board we needed to answer. I tried to do both, but I ran out of time when he started to tell you the answer, and explain how you would get it. After that, we did some language writing; we had to write about the most fun birthday party ever, or the scariest experience ever. After that We did a really fun challenge! We got one can of pringals, and we had to make a ring out of them! I worked with Abby, Koen, and Luke. Abby and I, did most of the work on the first one, and Koen and Luke did the second one. It was really hard! Mine fell over once, and we had to rebuild it. Even though it was hard, it was also fun! And after we got to nock it over and eat them!!!!!

The best experience I've had so far this year in the classroom is when we did our marsh mellow stacking game. I really liked how my group worked together and was proud of the strategies my group came up with. I liked the challenge of having limited items to work with. Overall the second week of school was fun.

grade five is great so far iv had fun building the projects like pringle ring and marshamello tower the group work is perfect stratagys in the morning for our brain is going out great just like how the school year is and we have lot excitment in school wich i like straight of the sart

The past few weeks have been really exciting and filled with fun. The pringle challange was one of the best challanges yet! (mainly because we got to eat pringles after) But also because we got to do it with friends. And we all know teamwork makes the dreamwork

The blue table had all the materials that me and my group needed for a project. It had spaghetti sticks,string, an arm long of tape, and one big marshmallow. This seemed like a fun project. After we gathered all our materials, we started with the project. We had to make the marshmallow a base with the spaghetti and make it as tall as we can. It was not easy, but we all kept trying and finally made it work. My positive experience was from this project because I saw how important team work is. Without team work, I don’t think we would have been able to do it.

The past 2 weeks of school was awesome and very fun. we did lots of challenges and it was very extexciting. we played allot and we worked as a team with my freinds and we were building many projects. Team work makes everything great.

Me and my group were having so sooo sooooooo much fun when we were working hard and keep on trying. we had the things we need and we did what we can do we don't care if we win all we had to do is make the marshmello tall and finish it. i felt good because presley koen and bennedict there 3 all were helpming each other and doing our best to make it tall. i also love grade 5 because i remember how every one was eating a marshmello and me and my sister got an sticker. i also felt good because i saw other people help different groups and so i think mabye next time i can do thr same and make them do the same like our group.

On my very 1st day at Dr. Charles Best Public school. I was very nervous because everything and everyone was new. I had just moved to Burlington a month ago and left all of my friends in Toronto. I was excited about being in grade 5, because they are considered seniors at the school, that’s what Principal Thompson said and was looking forward to doing the announcements. By lunch time, I had made two new friends and was starting to get excited about taking the school bus home. I was eager to see how my little sister’s first day of school went and to see my mom and dad at the bus stop.

My experience in the past two weeks have been awesome and fun.
When I entered the classroom full of excited students encouraging each other to solve a multiplication question, I got challenged to solve it by my best friend. Then the teacher said "class, today we are going to build rings out of pringles". Then he pulled out from a bag six boxes of salty pringles. The whole class received the pringles and started working on them. Next, the teacher thoroughly inspected our rings and told us when we are done we can eat them.
