Choose Hard & Right or Easy?

I thought the picture above was so great when I saw it posted on instagram this week by @TheCGolightly.  What answers are you looking for?  Do you want it to be easy or do you want to be right?  This picture speaks to the nature of school work so well.  School can be as easy as you want or if you want to do it right, it’s going to be hard.  This week for your blog post I want you to post two things.  First, post one thing that has been HARD this year but you felt was worth it.  After you’ve written this, think about yourself, what is something that you really want to do, it can be anything … What steps will you take to make it happen?  Write your plan for success for the next hard thing you want to do!

Something that had been hard for me to complete but was still worth it was when I did the frog math two jump three step event. It was worth it because as I completed it I learned new strategies do do math.

Something that I want to do is complete my Saturday school homework properly and try to answer the questions. I will start to look on the homework earlier in the week than Friday night, and practice everything for the tests that are coming up.

Something that has been hard for me this year was coding. At first I thought, this is too hard. Then I practiced and practiced and it was worth it because later in life I will use coding and am so excited for the Hackathon! I learned the python language and can do amazing things with computer science. I am so happy that Mr. Steltman was my teacher, he has taught me so many new things and I am looking forward for the rest of the year! :D

Something I want to do is work on my French. Someday I would want to go to France and speak with all the people. I plan doing this by going on Duolingo or tiny cards. Also using the language at home since my dad knows it.

Okay so something that has been hard for me to do is actually not something from school. It's called Spirit of Math. Spirit of Math is a program that teaches you math for the next grade. For example, if you go to Spirit of Math and you go into grade 5 they will teach you grade six things. It's been really tough to learn things in Spirit of Math and learn things in grade five because they don't match together and I'm not learning the same things. I think I've been doing pretty good but there is something that I haven't been doing too well in that I will talk about next. :D

Something I want to improve on is still in Spirit of Math. It's a drill. A drill in Spirit of Math is basically when... Well you are given a grid that has 1 digit numbers on the top and 3 digits numbers at the side. You are told to either divide or multiply them. Lately it's been division and it's been really hard. To improve, I'm going to ask my mom to help me. She's really good at math so she's going to be the one to ask. :D :D :D

I was challenged by the California Frog Math Contest. We were provided with the steps and jumps for each frog and how each frog performed relative to each other. We had to find how far does each frog jump. We figured it out by using elementary algebra. The assignment was hard for me because this was our first major task that required algebra. It was worth it because I discovered new strategies while I was doing it and I learned some elementary algebra.

When I grow up I would want to be an electrical engineer who build robots. Electrical engineers have to be excellent in math and science and possess very good programing skills. Last summer I went to McMaster University Engineering and Science camps. We built interesting contraptions and conducted scientific experiments. It was awesome! I am looking towards going to those camps again next summer. Last year I also participated in coding club at our school. We went on code.org and coded games by dragging in code boxes. This year we do a lot of coding and robotics activities in our class, which I love because it gets me one step closer to my goal of becoming an engineer!

I one of the things I was challenged by was the fibinacci on scratch. We were provided with a video to get us through the first part of it, but without the video it was HARD!I thought this was worth it because now I can see any number in the fibinacci secuence.

The thing I want to do when I grow up is... I don't know yet. I have a few ideas but I haven't quite figered out yet what I want to do.The reason for this is I can't find something that I am really good at.Whatever I end up doing I will try my best to achevie that goal.

I think one of the hard things we did at school was the Wonder project because we were only left with the book on the classroom and we had to help us to find the parts we needed from the book. It was worth it because we had to use our Wonder knowledge to complete the task.

When I get older I want to play in the NHL (National Hockey League). So the last 3 years I have been playing rep and always I am waking up very early for practices and always practicing with a figure skater. When I get there I will always be giving it my all in games and practices.

one of the hardest things this year for me was the frog olympics. it worth because I learned so much things that I never new it was such an amazing task and once it was done I was so proud of my self and how I did it.

One thing that was hard this year was DEFINITELY the Frog Olympics math. I think this was hard because it made my brain work a lot and I only got it when I asked Mr. Steltman. I felt this was worth it because my brain was working and growing while I was doing it and I learned a good lesson (I'm gonna put this like a famous quote)

~The Harder The Question Is~
~The Better You Will Feel When Your Finished~

-Willan

What I really want to do is become very good at soccer, If this is about math I would really like to get better and math so I can know the answer immediately. I will doing this by doing both questions in the morning math. Bye Bye!

One thing I thought was a challenge was learning the Fibonacci on scratch. following the video was pretty easy but when the video was done it made my brain work really hard. I was struggling more at first then after. I thought it was super fun to see it work and put all your effort into it and see all the numbers of the Fibonacci sequence.

One thing I want to improve on is my neatness. So in the morning math or power writing I'll make it neater so I can actually read it. It will also look much much much much much nicer.

One thing that has been hard this year for me but I felt was worth it and that was my Vex IQ robot. It was worth it because it was a good way to start collaborating and I also learned some new things like slowing down and not getting mad when I make a mistake.

Something that I want to do is complete my Weekly Homework on Friday EVERY week so that means not on Saturday, Sunday etc.
I will do that by not forgetting to look into it on Thursday night.

The one thing that i found challenging this year was the Frog Olympics.
It challenged my brain a lot through the process. Because of all of that thinking actual made me smarter.

I want to invent something that will change the world it will need a lot of math involved in the process.

Something that was really hard this year was was both the frog math jumping stuff. But as I struggled I lernt more and got smarter and felt good that I completed it.

Something I want to complete is trying harder in the math. For example in the morning the two math questions I want to answer both and do my best in math it will take a lot of time and thinking but my brain will get smarter and it’s worth it.

I agree with alot of people that the frog math was defanitly the hardest thing i've done this year

something that I want to do when i am older is traval the world and to make this happen i will try hard in school to get good grades to go to a good univercity/collage to get a good job to earn alot of money so when I retire I can traval the world

The hardest thing I've done this year is my frog math. It took me so long to figure out the answer and I struggled a lot!! I definitely think it was worth it because I think it looks good, makes sense and it's very information. (I didn't know what else to say so I just said informational) I also made the video about the poster and it turned out really good!! :D

Something that I really want to do in life is graduate from university and get a degree. I will achieve this goal by working hard and studying in school. I will try to do things more in advance to get my work done on time. I hope I do graduate sometime soon!! (it seems like forever!!!!!!!)

I think that the hardest thing have done this year was some coding but it was worth it because I got to go to the hackathon we all the other girls.
When I grow up I want to be a vet and I want to spend time with animals and make Shute they don't die hopefully on my spare time sometime I do reasearch on animals and how we can help them

One thing that has been hard this year was....
The french dialogue that we had to do, the first story that me and Jumaana did was super easy, but the one that I am doing now with Alex.A is way harder. I know that we have not fully finished going over it because obviously we haven't even started! But I am still exited to do it....kind of! Hee Hee!

I really want to have a division quiz, I know that I can't really do anything about it but, I just really want to have one! It is probably not the best thing that I want to do but I might just do about anything to have one!

Some that was very hard this year in school was to get up in front of the class and do my French presentation. It was hard because I had to remember how to say my whole presentation in the right French words and it was also hard because talking in front of people makes me nervous. It was worth it thought because when I was finished I felt really good and I think I did a good job.

I think I'd like to get better at robotics coding. It is something I have liked to do for a while. In order to get better I have to practice coding when I can. I can sign up for camps and classes that will teach me new things about coding,

The hardest thing I've done this year is frog math. I found it so difficult because of the algebra which at the time was really hard for me. I think that working my brain extremely hard and learning algebra was worth it because I learnt something that I didn't know.

Something that I I'd like to get better at is coding. For my future I'll probably have lots of things that I will need to learn coding for. I'm very interested in making games in my future and most likely will.

The hardest thing I've done at school is the Frog Math it look me a long time and I found it very hard but mistakes are powerful and I didn't give up!

The thingI would like to get better at is studying more so I can get good grades and advance from high school to university and then graduate!

The hardest thing this year was the frog math. This was challenging and hard.
The frog math was challenging because, it gave you hints and then on the last paragraph there would be no hints, and you would be used to getting the hints. Thats how it was challenging.
The frog math was hard because, you would have to do so many strategies and double checking, which made it really hard.

Something I would like to improve in is math, because when I am older I want to have a job that works with the human body, and working with the human body doesn't just need science it needs math too.

something I want to compete is as much homework as I can done because I always are forgetting or not caring I'm going to do this by posting homework front of less important things.

One thing that really challenged me this year was the codesters coding. I got to know how coding works and how programming works. I got to go to the hackathon for girls and that was a lot of fun. I think the more I practiced, the better I got, and the more to knew the program.

I want to do a lot of things when I'm older. I really want to graduate from university because once you do you can almost do what ever you want. I also want to change the world with one invention. I want to change the way the world uses and views energy, following in ideas like the Tesla and solar panels.

The hardest thing so far this year was definitely coding but it was good in the end because we got to go to hackergal and also it was very challenging and that's what made it fun.

When I grow up Ii want to be a designer I want do this because it is a really fun job and because you get to be creative and show your style.

I think the thing that has been really hard this year was my biography but at the end it was worth it cause I could read it and remember how much work and effort I put into it. One thing I would like to do in the future would be getting a lot better at dancing and it will take a lot of practice but sometimes it can really be stressful but I'm willing to push through it.
