Screen Time Check-In!

For your blog post this week, I have a bit of a challenge for you. Can you track the amount of time that you spend on screens (computer, tv, ipad, phone, etc.) from Sunday to Thursday.  Track the hours of the following table.  Once you’ve done this I’d like you to reflect on it.

Did you know? Experts say that 2 hours of recreational screen time a day is the healthy max for kids. But on average, most kids go way over—some hit 4, 5, even 6 hours a day!

Too much screen time can leave your brain feeling foggy, your body feeling sluggish, and your sleep all messed up. Not to mention, it eats up time you could spend doing something awesome—like playing outside, drawing, reading, or building blanket forts!

This week, I was surprised that I got a very good trade in Blox fruits: phoenix fruit for creation and spider. It was not a good trade because my phoenix had half of the value that creation and spider had. After I had lots of screen time, I felt tired. When I had less screen time, I felt energized. 5 fun things to do instead of using a screen: 1: read a book 2: play a board game 3: create a fort using blankets and pillows 4:go to the park 5:draw or color.

This week I was surprised that there was diffrent versions of adventure time. when I had lot of screen time my eyes hurt but when I didn't my eyes didn't hurt. fun things to do instead of using a screen: 1: do lego 2: have a playdate 3: play a game 4:go to the park 5:go mini golfing.p.s This week,I was surprised that I got lots levels on blox fruits from 59 to 82.I was also super happy because I rolled light fruit.But on those days I felt tired slopy and stayed inside most of the time because "The sun is a deadly Lazer"(I want to try this new thing because people are copying me with the DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUN so) Dun chun cun!!!!!!!!But with less screen time I was outside because the sun was not a deadly Lazer,I was more active and the sun did not burn my eyes.Fun things to do instead of using a screen is stare at your refrigerator ok not that but UHHHH let me think 2hrs later k so
1 play outside
2 play with lego
3 draw or colour
4 read a book
5 uhhh mabye stare at your refrigerator no no uhhhh learn yeah learn you could do anything else but I said learn k we are done.

Garfield and lasagna vs screens

This week I was playing Garfield defence (finally something that is not in Roblox). I was surprised that I was half done with the game. I was playing for 4 hours and when I got up my eyes were starting to hurt from the screen. The next day I skipped the Ipad and played outside. After that, I played chess with my dad. We had a lot of fun. We played foosball and then I went to bed.

I was on the screens a lot and when I got off the screens I felt tired. So after dinner that night I got outside and scootered to the park. It felt really good to be outside after being on the screens a lot. I felt surprised about how good it felt to get outside after being on the screens a lot. Five things I can do to get off the screen: Go outside and go to the park or play in the frontyard, Arts and crafts, Puzzle, Build lego or a playdate with a friend.

his week, I was surprised that a game called Grow a Garden, which is a VERY simple game but then it had 11.6M players at the time my cousin and I were shocked after my screen time I felt tired, But when I had less screen time i felt fresh? I would say anyways, my five things are 1. Practice soccer 2. Go to the park 3. My mom with chores and stuff 3. Sleep 4. Go to playdates 5. ACTUALLY touch grass.
The term of something has to stop or end.

This week I was playing fortnite a lot, getting 20 levels in 1 day, but when I stopped, I felt kind of, lazy. So I decided to go outside, It was so hot! I got out some water guns and went CRAZY! After I came in I felt refreshed! I felt so much better! 5 things to do are: 1: Play outside (DUH) 2: Play a board game 3: Make/Build something 4: Play with siblings 5: GET BUFF BY WORKING OUT YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

This week I noticed that my screen time added up all together was 10 and a half hours of screen time for the whole week!!! Then my eyes started to hurt a bit last Monday because I spent 4 hours watching tv and playing games on my mom's computer. So I read a book and noticed I felt a lot better. 5 things to do are... 5: Play with a friend 4: Go outside to the park 3: read a book 2: play with your dog and 1: ride your bike or rollar blades
